Flashback to 10 Years Ago

I was outside the preschool with my twin brother. We were both wearing the pointed shades given by Bro, and the other kids didn't like us very much. I sat at an empty activity table, messing around with Legos, because those are the shit. Suddenly, I saw a flash of white and green. "Hi!" A buck-toothed boy with black glasses smiled at me. "I'm John, what's your name?" "Y/n." I say quietly. "Can I be your friend?" He looked hopefully at me and I said yes. He smiled happily and took my hand. "Let's go play in the sand box, there are dinosaur toys there!" I give him a small smile and we race off to find the only t-rex.

Flashback to 5 Years Ago

"Happy birthday, Y/n!" John screamed. I hit my alarm clock and keep my eyes closed as I searched for my shades. "Here, here, here." John gave me something wrapped in paper. "it's something better than those pointed anime ones." I rip them open and I feel the glasses. Rounded, like my brother Dave's. I slide them on and open my eyes. The world was tinted with f/c and John was right in front of me. "I love them, man." I give him a quick hug and we run down to the kitchen, where Dave and Bro were already. "You two took forever." Bro commented and John flushed. I stay stoic on the outside, but inside I'm cringing. "Bro, nothing like that happened. Besides, he stayed with Dave last night." I smirked as John blushed brighter and Dave grimaced. "That was low, Y/n." I chuckle and race out the door, ready to hang out with my best friend on my tenth birthday.

Flashback to 3 Years Ago

I was lying on John's stomach and making him laugh from weird jokes. It made me laugh since I was on his stomach. "Hey, Y/n?" He said abruptly. I roll over and look at the blue-eyed boy. ''Sup, nerd?" He rolled his eyes and smiled. "When do you think I can see your eyes?" "Never." "Aww, c'mon, don't be such a blowhard!" He whined. I chuckled and stuck my tongue out at him. He pouted and I sit up. "How about.." I think for a moment. "How about I'll show you my eyes once my eyes are a different color. Fuckin' hate mine after all." He nods at the compromise, but I could tell he wasn't happy. "And when will that be?" "Not for a long time."

Now 

"Hey, Davey, nerd." I give John a friendly peck on the cheek before heading to my room. He was over playing video games with Dave. "Ew, Y/n. This is not time for you and John, it's me and John." Dave grimaced. "I can't hear you through the door!" I sang out. I removed the glasses that john gave me and rub my bright pink eyes. God, I hate them so much. I grab some pajama pants and walk to my bathroom. While I was changing, I heard my door open. My glasses are in my room. I quickly scramble into my pants and I shut my eyes as I stumble from the door. "Y/n!" Fuck, it's John. "Hey nerd." I say weakly. "Sup?" "Nothing, besides seeing you without your glasses." He snickers and I plop onto my bed. "Well, you can't get me to open my eyes." I say, while groping for my glasses. "Yes I can." "No, you can't." "I think I can, Y/n." "Right, and I'm a successful millionaire that has fifty cats." I scoff. "Fine. Ten bucks says I can." "Oh, you're on." I keep my eyes squeezed shut before relaxing against my bed. "Be ready to pay me."

I felt my eyes spring open and now I have to give stupid John his stupid ten bucks. He smiled at me and I was blushing brighter than my eyes. "That was cheating." He laughed and I hid my face in one of my pillows. "Kissing is totally acceptable." John said in a smug tone. "I didn't say I couldn't do that, I said I could open your eyes." I roll them and push John off the bed. "Ow, fuck!" I giggled and slid off my bed, landing next to John. "Hey could we do that again?" I ask. John blushed and smiled goofily. "Why not?" I lean in and he does as well. I push my lips against his and he steadies us by placing a hand on my cheek. I smile and he smirks. "I guess I got to see them before the promised date, huh?" I scowl and he laughs. I break into a smile, unable to continue sulking. I kiss him once more before sliding my shades back on.

"You two are nasty." "Dave shut the fuck up, I can hear  you and Karkat slurping faces almost everyday afterschool." "Eww, Y/n I didn't need that in my head!"

**Thanks for letting me have the brief break, and sorry it took so long! I have a few break days before the continuation of the plays, so I'll be trying to type.
