"I Don't Understand, Y/n," A bemused troll said. "Why Should We Go Out Tonight, Of All Nights?" She had short black hair and a beautiful red skirt. Her apparent friend was bouncing around in a f/c shirt with denim shorts. "because, Kan! It's a special day called Valentine's Day," Y/n says patiently. "You ask someone who you like to a date or to be their girlfriend or boyfriend. Matesprit in your case." Y/n then lifted up a heart shaped box and smiled. "I want you to be my Valentine tonight! It'll be a nice change to the usual movie night and such." Kanaya gingerly took the box which held miniature chocolates. She looked at the young girl fondly and agreed to the date night. "Great! See you at 6 o'clock!" Y/n rushed off blushing a bit. The couple have been together since they met in their senior year. They ended up going to the same college and the rest is history. On the past Valentine's Days Kanaya had rejected the idea of going out. But this year, Y/n had to really push the button. You see, she wanted to propose to the dainty troll girl. Getting to their shared home, Y/n ran to her room. A dress of hers was already laid out with some nice flats. A small box was taken out from between her two drawers of jewelry. it was 4:30 already, so both girls were starting to get ready in the separate rooms. Y/n slipped on the dress and flats with light amount of makeup. Her hair recently washed and shiny. Kanaya was dressed in a red dress she had made herself. Black flats were adorning her feet and black lipstick grace her face with black eyeliner. Both girls carried small purses, one holding a tube of lipstick and one carrying the ring. Both met out of their rooms and smiled. Y/n blushed at her beautiful girlfriend and hoped she would say yes. Kanaya blushed because Y/n had really dressed up, and she looked stunning in her f/c dress. The walked out hand in hand to their Volkswagen Buggy. The restaurant was about a ten minute drive, which was held in a comfortable silence. They pulled up and parked, walking into the restaurant with thoughtless chatter that felt good to say. 

"L/n, reserved area." A waiter took the two excited girls to a table laden with a white tablecloth and red roses. A bottle of wine was waiting. Overwhelmed by how nice the restaurant was, Kanaya asked, "Why Are We Here?" Y/n smiled mysteriously. "Wait till dessert. I heard they have amazing chocolate mousse cake." Kanaya kept asking what the meaning was for such a nice place but Y/n would only mysteriously reply with a, "Wait till the end."

Once the last of the meal was swept away and the bottle of wine half empty, Y/n began to act nervous. What if Kanaya said no? What if she didn't like this Valentine's Day? 'Calm down, Y/n,' She told herself. 'Nothing will go wrong.' "Kanaya?" The jade blood troll looked at the young human girl fondly. "Yes My Dear?" She replied. Y/n visibly gulped. "I-I think we've been together for a very long time." Kanaya had a guarded expression. Was Y/n breaking up with her? Why would she do that? Kanaya nodded. "Well, I was wondering of we could stay together." Y/n held out a small box and opened it. In there, a jade ring with silver bands lay. "Would you marry me, Kanaya?" Y/n asked sweetly. Kanaya looked shocked, hand over mouth, tears in her eyes. 

"Yes." Y/n smiled. "Really?" "Yes, Yes, Yes, Oh My Dear Y/n Yes!" Kanaya jumped up from her seat and gave her matesprit a hug. The two separated and kissed sweetly, the taste of chocolate mousse still lingering. The young couple grinned and went back home after paying for the dinner. They changed out of their clothes and Kanaya curled up in Y/n's bed with her. "I love you so much, Kanaya Maryam," Y/n whispered. "You Got My Name Wrong, My Dear." Kanaya kissed Y/n lightly on her nose. "It's Kanaya L/n Now." Y/n giggled and fell asleep with the jade blood curled in her arms.
