Idiot (Kurloz X Deaf!Reader)

**HALLOWEEN, TIME TO GET SPOOPY!**

Kurloz's POV

I blink slowly, bored as hell from the rambles of the English teacher. She droned on before a door opened. A girl with a shining grin popped out with a coffee cup. "Ah, Ms L/n! How thankful I am for the coffee runs." She sighed and grinned. L/n seemed to be very absorbed in the teacher's words, before responding, "Yes, looks like it was a good thing. I must get back to my class, bye Ms Allen." She walked out and I think that was the day I lost my heart to a girl.

I sat up, staring straight at the door. English was just as boring, but something miraculous was going to happen. And there she was, in all her beautiful glory. Y/n L/n. I may have peeked at the records of her at my office assistant elective, but it was worth it. In her yearbook photo she wasn't smiling but her eyes danced like a christmas light spinning. She was still glued to what Ms Allen was saying, her eyes unnecessarily staring at her lips. I try to catch her eye, but she does nothing but leave after responding to Ms Allen. I tap my friend Porrim and point at Y/n. I smile at her. "O+h, that is the girl?" She asks. I nod and she looks at me in pity. "Go+o+d thing yo+u fo+und her." I look at her confused, but she doesn't elaborate. Odd.

I walk past Y/n in the hall. I try to speak to her with my Chuckle Voodoo trick, but she doesn't even look at me. I try to catch her eyes, but again they are focused on someone else's lips. I growl softly and turn away.

Third Person POV

He never noticed how the girl would stop the person talking just to look over at someone else. Kurloz Makara, the mute troll who people were scared of. Everyone except for her. She wished she could just gather up the courage to talk to him, but with his lips sewn shut and her lack of sign language, it's difficult. She watched him from the back, his purple backpack sagging against him and his heartbroken look. How she wished she could change that.

Kurloz's POV

Y/n walked back into the classroom with Ms Allen's coffee, looking troubled. "What's wrong, sweetie?" She asked, being a kind teacher. She may have a boring voice, but she was caring. "Nothing, Ms Allen. Just some social trouble, nothing to worry a teacher." She said. She looked around the room and I locked eyes with her for about ten seconds. In that time, Ms Allen was talking and didn't notice the beautiful smile and blush on the girls face. She said goodbye to the teacher again and Ms Allen chuckled. "I wish that I could give that girl so much more." I look at the teacher questioningly. She looked at me and gave me a smile. "That girl goes to the special classes. You see, she is deaf." Oh shit. That's why nothing worked, she can't hear me, she can't have noticed my attempts! Wow, I'm a idiot, it was so obvious, but I never saw the signs. I make the sign for the bathroom and she nods me off. I grab my journal stealthily and rush out of the room to look for the girl with dancing eyes.

Not around there. Or there. Turn left, no, turn right, I hear footsteps. Y/n! I run off, panting through my nose. I walk faster and cling onto her shirt. She jumps and looks at me. I stop for a moment, forcing her to stop as well. I pull her close and kiss her on the lips. She squeaks and I stop right away. I scribble my phone number onto a blank piece of journal paper and hand it to the flustered girl. Y/n takes it and looks at it. I smile as best as I could when the bell rings. I rush off and hear my phone go off in my pocket. In the bustling of the crowd, I open my phone and look at the unknown number flashing the screen. "Could we do that again?" It said. I smile as wide as possible with stitches on the lips. I can just see her blushing face. I feel my face go a darker purple and rush to my next class.
