**I REALLY FUCKING LOVE CATS I CAN"T WAIT TO WRITE THIS XD. Headcanon that grubs have soft horns, like babies having softer bones. The cause of the bent part of Kanaya's horn? Read to hear the fanfic version of it.**

Ever since she was little, Kanaya Maryam had disliked meowbeasts, or cats as humans called them. She remembered the cat with four eyes scratching her when young, resulting in her bent horn. The car was only a little bigger too! However, that all seemed to change when she met Y/n.

Y/n loved the trolls. Her best friend was Aradia Megido, and she loved the fashion-obsessed troll. She understood the need for quiet and the calming of tea. She loved what Kanaya could do with just a little bit of cloth and thread. But there's one thing from telling the troll that she is infatuated with her; her tail and ears. Y/n is a cat hybrid, half cat and half human. And with Kanaya's aversion to cats, it makes it difficult for the girl to ever get close to the troll. 

"Hello Kanaya," Y/n said a bit shyly. Kanaya kept reading her novel, wishing the girl would go away. She was shaking slightly from fear. "I just wanted to give you this." Y/n continued. She held up a roll of cloth, different than what Kanaya has ever seen. It was jade-colored with a metallic look to it. It would look amazing as a dress, with silver lining around the end. Kanaya stares at it, a bit surprised that a cat did a nice thing. "Thank You Miss L/n," She said in a bland tone. "I Appreciate The Kindness." And she went back to her book. Y/n's small smile faltered and she walked away.

"Kanaya, Y/n has t0ld me s0mething quite interesting," Rose said. She was on a coffee break with the troll, wanting to help Y/n in a sense. "She has been working in her garden, making interesting concoctions with some of the plants." "Oh?" "Yes, and she has been making amazing tea." Kanaya looked a little interested at the word 'tea,' not 'Y/n'. "How about you join me to go to her house. She'd love to see you." Kanaya obliged and Rose smiled. Maybe she can help Y/n out with Kanaya after all.

"Oh, hello you two!" Y/n called from her greenhouse. Steam was rising from the top of the house and Y/n was smiling and holding a few bundles of leaves. "I just made a new one that I think you'd both enjoy!" Rose shoved Kanaya into the greenhouse. "Actually, I have a date with someone." Rose winks at Y/n, who blushes lightly. "I'll meet you two in a few hours." "Rose, No." Kanaya whispered, looking at the blonde fearfully. "Kanaya would love to try your new tea. Bye lovelies!" Rose ran off and Y/n smiled lightly at the scared troll. "Come in, I just put the water in the cups." Kanaya followed the girl into her house.

Cute. That's the word Kanaya used to describe the house; cute. The walls were pale f/c and the furniture was a mixture of black and white couches, chairs, tables, and cushions. Paintings made by the girl were hanging above the couch of the living room and all around the kitchen. "Sorry it's a bit messy, my tail sometimes knocks stuff over. Please, make yourself at home," Y/n says, grabbing two mugs with packets in them. Kanaya obliged and she sat on the couch. She seemed a little stiff, but the smell of tea calmed her. "I made this one of lemon balm, and I have a mint one as well. Which would you like?" Y/n called from the kitchen. "Lemon Please." Kanaya said a little weakly. Y/n walked in with two cups in her hand, her tail flicking about and her ears perked. 

There was an awkward pause between the two girls. "I know you dislike cats," Y/n said tentatively. "But I'm not all cat. I'm also human." Kanaya nodded and sipped her tea. "Is there a way we could become friends?" Y/n pressed. Kanaya stiffened up. Friends with an animal and human? One that is the reason of her bent horn? She thinks it over while Y/n sipped her tea. Y/ thinks she might have crossed the line, but Kanaya gave the sweet girl a tentative smile. "I Would Like That, Y/n." The hybrid girl smile brightly and her fluffy tail wagged slightly. And for the rest of the day, the new friends talked and got to know more about each other, making them grow from the hatred.

**I didn't know how I was going to write this, to be honest. I won't be updating as much because I am in school now (YAS) and I tried out for a drama comedy (dramedy). I have to say I'm a bit proud of myself since I'm not the best actress or the most mentally stable person. The practices are from 3:00 to 5:30, and Tech Week is 3:00 to 9:00, so I don't have a lot of time to write, but I'll try my best to update a lot! Thanks for reading!!**
