Gone (Aradia x Reader)

My eyes are blank. My lips were taken by a fanged boy named Sollux, and even though I was dating Y/n L/n, I couldn't help but love this. I can't love her anymore. She was not for me and I never thought I deserved her anyways.

"W-what?" Her voice said weakly. "Aradia?" Sollux had let go for a moment so that I may talk to her. I fall to the ground, sliding along the wall. "W-what's going on?" She said, sounding sad. I sat up straight and stared at her eyes. They had a twinkle that was slowing going away and a tear was replacing it. "I d0n't think this is g0ing t0 w0rk 0ut , my dear. Please, leave S0llux and me alone." Sollux wrapped his arm around me. I smiled lovingly at him. Y/n nodded and said a simple sentence, a sentence that stuck with me forever. "Okay. Fine. I-I'll miss you." She walked off with her head held high and a single tear dripping off her chin. "Now, where were we?" Sollux said playfully and captured my lips again. I laughed as I kissed him back.

I saw her all the time. She was smiling in the halls, but in the bathroom next to the music room, you could hear a sniffle and sob emitting from the third stall to the left. She'd come out with puffy eyes and a smile. Some people said she smelled of smoke. Some say alcohol. Some say blood. She stills smiles. She still is so nice. She greets me with a hello every morning. Even when I'm with Sollux, or Feferi, or even Vriska. I ignore her.

One day I heard a yelp. Then a crack. I went around a corner and saw Terezi and Vriska kicking Y/n on the ground. "F1N4LLY, SH3 Y3LLS," Terezi snickers. "Yeah. You seem to be preeeeeeeetty strong, girly." Vriska bent to her level and grabs her face. "What are y0u d0ing?" I confront the two troll girls. "Oh, nothing. Just talking with Miss Smiles and Influence." Vriska smirked. "Wanna help out?" Y/n looked at me with a bruised eye and puffy cheek. She smiled and her one working eye said plainly, 'Only if you want to,' before closing. I nod and go near her. Vriska started picking up Y/n's arm while Terezi picked up her legs. I pick up her other arm. We hoist her up and I ask, "Where are we putting her?" Vriska smiled evilly. Why am I helping out? "I was hoping on top of the 8ridge 8y the park," She said nonchalantly. What?! I frantically shake my head no. "That's bad! She c0uld fall and die," I say. "Her death w0uld be 0n 0ur hands." Vriska shrugged and winked. "And what's wrong with thaaaaaaaat? No one loves her anyway. She drinks and smoke and acts like everything's fine after cutting!" "No, I'm not helping." Let go of Y/n's arm and she looks up at me. Her eyes never sparkled since that day. I only saw the sparkle of a tear. I can't hurt her. So what if I broke up with her? She doesn't deserve to die. Suddenly, I was on the ground. The breath was knocked out of me and my ribs hurt. One was broken! "See ya l8er, loser," Vriska chuckled Terezi impatiently whined, "COM3 ON, VR1SK4! SOM3ON3'S GONN4 COM3 SOON!" Vriska lifted up Y/n and began carrying her. She kicked my one last time, making my arm hurt. I yelped and shrunk into the fetal position. "S0ME0NE HELP!" I shout. The two girls left with Y/n! I was so tired and hurt, but I need to help Y/n. I try and reach for my phone, which fell out of my pocket. It hurt so bad to stretch out my arm. I call Sollux who thankfully answers. "2up, AA?" "S0ll-S0llux, g0 t0 the bridge." "Waiit, where are you?" "I'll meet y0u at the bridge, just g0 there please, Y/n is in danger!" I hang up and start crawling in the direction of the bridge. I lift up my uninjured arm and hoist myself up. I get on my knees, then my legs, and they are running. I have to get her, she can't die, I want Y/n! I start crying and keep running. The girls have already gotten her up on the ledge. She had been fighting back, but she was weak. "GET AWAY FR0M Y/N, Y0U BITCHES!" I cry out and charge the girls. Sollux appeared on the road, and seeing me made him get out of his car. I could care less, I need to save Y/n. Vriska grinned playfully and pushed Y/n. "Oooooooops."

I didn't grab her hand. I couldn't jump in. "Y/N!" I screamed. "Y/N!" My voice broke. Sollux held me down before I jumped off as well. "N0, let me g0, I have t0 get her!" I yell at Sollux. I struggle, but my arm hit something and I yelped. My rib was hurting me too. I fell to the ground. Terezi and Vriska had run away to Gog know where. "S0LLUX, LET G0 T0 HER PLEASE!" I cry desperately. "Aradiia. 2he'2 dead." He whispers. No. No, she can't be. I run to the bottom of the bridge and I saw her. Her beautiful hair was covering a cut. Her eyes were hollow, last tears creeping over her face. I scream out of pain and shock. I walk over to her, stumbling over nothing. "It's all my fault," I say numbly. Sollux called the police. She was so beautiful. She was so perfect. She looked so perfect. She is dead.

I haven't left my room. Sollux couldn't coax me out and gave up within a week. He let me be by myself. It's my fault she's dead. I couldn't get to her in time. Her funeral is in half an hour. I have to go to her, just one last time. I dress in a black dress, ruffles starting at my waist. It led to halfway on my thighs. The back was longer and led to my ankles. I wore black tights and black shoes. There was a black hat that had a wide brim and a blood red bow. Blood... I started crying again. Her blood had covered the sidewalk and it took forever to wash out. I wore this dress to our first date. Sollux entered my room and was dressed in a black suit. He hugged me and kissed my forehead. "Tiime two go." He held my hand and led me outside, the sunlight not touching my tired face. We go quietly into his car and drive to a field full of roses. Y/n's favorite flowers. I gave her a bouquet on Valentine's Day. Her eyes were so bright and I remember her asking me if she could kiss me. She always asked before kissing me. Tears were flowing.

"She was an amazing friend," Jade was saying, crying. "I-I can't think of her dead, I-I c-can't think of her as gone." Jade left the stage after saying goodbye to her. We all walked along to see her one last time. She was wearing her favorite dress. Her eyes were closed. Her mouth was open just the slightest bit. I put my hand in and her skin was cold. She looked so peaceful, as if she never fell. Y/n's mother was sobbing and her father had a straight face. He seemed to have aged forty years, looking haggard and tired. Her grandparents were crying freely. Her friends were talking quietly together and talking about all the good memories they had with her.

I can't make anymore memories with her. I can't sit with her and hear her laugh. I can't hear her talk about her favorite book, or band, or show. I can't see her eyes glow with happiness. She's gone.

She's gone and she's never coming back.
