Bright Pink, Bright Blue (Jake X Reader)

**Woo, cheesy prompts are so fucking cute, I love them.**

Jake's POV

I smooth down my curly blue hair, as bright as my mood today. I don't know why I'm so happy today, I just feel like something is going to happen, something nice. I place a white beanie on top of my hair and a fleece sweater because of the nippy weather. A hot chocolate will do me good.

The door of Peet's Coffee released a warm air wave onto me, making my previously frozen cheeks turn red. I blow my nose into a tissue and get into the line of customers. I guess everyone is leaning towards a warm drink. My hair turned to my usual brown colored hair from the cold and the warmth hitting me at the same time. I calmly wait in line, looking around at the people around me. Some people looked dead on their feet while others ready to work on term papers, work papers, stories, fanfictions. I felt my hair change color, it felt like someone cracked an egg over my head. I pull a strand down to see blue once more, the brown fading slightly. I smile to myself and look at the menu to get the delicious chocolate drink.

"Hot Chocolate for Jake!" I heard the person call. I take my drink with a smile and a thank you, walking back over to a seat by the window. I heard someone squeak and I whirled around, the beverage thankfully not sloshing around. A girl, quite pretty to be honest, was staring at me with vibrant pink hair. She was trying to find a hat around and cover it, but I caught her eyes before she could. My own hair was changing color, I'm guessing to the same pink as her's. My face was turning pink as well, and I began walking over to the rushing, flushing, pretty girl. She stared wide-eyed at me, her hair and face slowly getting brighter.

"Hello, may I sit with you?"

She nods slowly and I scoot next to her and place my hot chocolate down.

"What's your name?"

"Y/n. L/n. Yours?"

"Mine's Jake English, at your service!" I grin and she returns the smile. It lit up her face and her voice was soft with kindness. Y/n L/n, what a perfect name for her.

We talked for the rest of the morning, the rain and winds dying down and people coming in and out of the coffee shop. Y/n is a very sweet girl who loved to read and f/a (Favorite activity), and is hilarious. Our hair changed to our normal colors with a tinge of pink, making mine look like a blood orange and hers a beautiful mix of pink and h/c. We exclaimed over our favorite things, laughing at our jokes and puns, and talked softly about ourselves.

I quite like Y/n.

I check my watch to see that it was almost 1:30 in the afternoon! I finish up my now cold hot chocolate and say, "I'm sorry to say, but I have to cut this brief meeting short." Her face wilted a little and her hair turned to a darker color. Mine did the same, but I grabbed one of her pens from what she was working on before I came in. I wrote my number on her arm and she blushed at the slight touches.

"Call me sometime, when you want to meet and chat again?" My sentence ended with a bit of a question. I enjoyed are time, and from her hair I could see she enjoyed it as well. Y/n nods and waves goodbye as I walk out of the coffee shop. My hair changed, the egg running from the top of my head. Bright blue, with tips of bright pink; A perfect day to meet someone beautiful.
