(Dave's P.O.V)

Ugh... I had to get lost now!?
Currently, I am in... I don't even know where I'm at.
I send out Kanaya, my beautiful Golbat.
"Kanaya, do you think you can look around and see where we are?" I asked, noticing that the sun is starting to set.
I  am definitely not lost. It isn't cool to get lost.
Kanaya nodded, and flew around, looking for a way to Eterna city.
I am trying to get my third gym badge, but ended up walking in circles in Eterna forest. I checked my map again.
This map is not helping at all.
I glared at the mossy rock. How many times have I passed it already!?
"You, the one with shades! Are you lost?" A nerdy voice asked. I looked over to where the source of the voice is coming from.
I looked around, but didn't see anyone. Maybe it's just my imagination.
"Down here!"
When I looked down, I saw a boy around my age, with dark, messy hair.
He had rather large buck teeth like a Bibarel's and wore square glasses.
"No, I'm not lost. I'm just wondering around aimlessly." I said, sarcastically.

"Oh, okay. In that case... I challenge you to a Pokemon battle!" He said.

"Challenge accepted." I replied.
I didn't actually mean that. The not getting lost part that is...

"Swablu, I choose you!" He called out, sending out a small bird Pokemon that looked like cotton candy.
I have never seen this Pokemon before...
Maybe it's from a different region.
I had a special Pokemon of my own!

"Klink, I choose you!" I said, sending it out.
The other trainer looked shocked, probably never hearing it from school or  anything.
"Kink- I mean klink, use thunder charge!" I cried out, knowing that it would be effective against the tiny bird Pokemon.

"Swablu, use sing!" Shouted the other, and the blue bird started to sing a nice, calming melody. I wonder what the song is called... It's really peaceful.
I looked over at Klink, and saw that he or she (?) Is already fast asleep.

"Wake up and use vice grip!" I said, knowing that he or she won't wake up.

The other chuckled, and tilted his glasses.
"Looks like the tables have turned! Swablu, use fury attack!"

Normal type and flying type moves are a not very effective when it comes to a steel type.
"Klink, use gear grind!" I called out.

.... The gear Pokemon is still asleep.
Just wake up already! Ugh.

"Now, use peck!"

Klink's energy is starting to get low.
"Use charge!" I screeched, and the Pokemon finally woke his  and obliged to the command.
All of a sudden, it started to rain.
Just when the Pokemon battle was getting interesting. Now, I don't mean to be a pussy or anything, but I am not that type of trainer to battle in the rain.
I forgot my umbrella too...
"Should we call this battle off? I don't want to catch a cold." The other trainer said.
I think I might actually have him as a companion!
Well, being the cool kid I am, I nodded, and we ran away, while bumping into other Pokemon trainers.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is John!" He chuckled, and smiled, showing his Bibarel-like teeth.

"Dave." I nodded.

We battled some of the Pokemon trainers, and then stumbled upon a large mansion.
Whoa... It looks like it has been cleaned recently too.
"Should we go in?" I asked John.

"N-no we shouldn't. A game I played made me to never go into a mansion.
A grey monster known as Steve will come to kill you, and you'll buy onigiri and beer from a toilet!" He squeaked.

"... You play to many video games. Let's go in anyways. It's really starting to pour." I said.

"Well... Okay. But... We'll never escape the-"

I took his hand, and dragged him in.
He looked panicked, and reached for the front door.

"Oh... It isn't locked." He breathed out a sigh of relief.

The place was huge with its elegant red carpet, and stone statues.
I decided to explore a bit.
"We should look around while we're waiting for the rain to stop." I said.

"Okay... I hope their isn't any scary Pokemon." Said John.

"We have our own Pokemon to protect us, so its fine. Speaking of which, Kanaya still hasn't come back..." I said. I am really worried, but I didn't show that in my tone of voice.

We headed towards the kitchen, then we stood there, frozen in shock.
A ghost Butler dude appeared, and floated away.

"DAVE!!! WHAT Was. THAT!?" Yelled John, clinging onto me.

"Relax... We have our Pokemon with us."

"How are you so calm in this situation?"

"Because I believe in my Pokemon.
Plus, this is ironic."

John sighed and sent out Swablu, then held it in his hand.

We got out of the kitchen, deciding that it wouldn't be good if we stayed too long.
John really is a scaredy cat.
It's kind of cute actually.
Anyways, when we looked out the window, the rain actually stopped.
So, we got outside, and continued our journey to Enterna City.
We managed to get there, and John had agreed to be my companion!
