You wake up with a start, a scream escaping your lips as you clutch your chest. Tears drip from your eyes as you look around frantically. It takes you a few minutes to realise that you had been dreaming. You sigh and slump back against your pillow. You wipe the tears from your cheeks and close your eyes.

Your eyes open once again when you hear your door open. You look up to see your cousin, Jane, walk in.

"(Y/n), are you alright?" she asks.

"Yeah, just a nightmare." You reply, a shaky smile making its way onto your lips.

"Alright, but you can come into my room if you want." She offers.

"Thank you, Jane." You nod.

She gives you one last glance before she leaves, closing the door behind her. Once you hear her close her own door, you sigh once more. You go over the vivid dream in your head, which causes you to begin crying.

'Of course that wasn't real,' you convince yourself, 'but why did it feel like it was real?'

Before you could think of it any further, you push it from your mind and go back to sleep.

It had been several weeks since that weirdly vivid dream. You had tried to not to think of it, but it was always there. In some sad game the world decided to play with you, you hoped that one day you'd get a message from Sollux.

You drag yourself along the path as you walk home. Today you had decided to take the long way home in hopes that it could help clear your mind. You watched as kids would run past you with their friends. There were people playing with their dogs and eating ice-cream together.

You make a last minute decision to walk through the park for a bit. You turn into the park and walk along the path, looking at all of the flora that surrounded you.

You let out a yelp when someone grabs your arms and spins you around. Before you could yell at the person for grabbing you so suddenly, you begin to cry, which you had done a lot lately. Standing before you was the familiar honey blond man that you had fallen for in a dream.

"(Y/n)?" he whispers.

"Sollux!" you shout happily.

You wrap your arms around him and press your lips to his. You knew it wasn't a dream! You feel Sollux wrap his arms around you and kiss you in return. So the both of you stand in the middle of the park; kissing like you hadn't seen each other in months.

When you pull away you're both grinning ear to ear.

"Hey Sollux, why'd you run off?!" another familiar voice calls. You look behind Sollux to see Nepeta and Dave walking towards the both of you.

"Nepeta! Dave!" you shout excitedly and run towards the pair.

Nepeta opens her arms enthusiastically and Dave gives a lopsided smile as he too opens his arms. You leap into their arms and hug them tightly.

"God, I'm so happy you're both alright!" you cheer as you pull away.

You feel Sollux wrap an arm around your waist and smile up at him.

"I'm so happy to meet you all in person." You grin.

"Yeah, we took a while to find each other," Nepeta explains, "I'm pretty sure meeting you is a coincidence."

"Well, at least it was a good coincidence." You shrug.

"You're telling me." Sollux chuckles, pressing a kiss to your cheek.

"Well, I guess we have some catching up to do."
