Your fingers rhythmically tap against the wood of your desk as you blankly stare at the work you had opened on your laptop. You had been sitting there for quite some time, not doing the assignment that was due by Monday. It was only Saturday so that gave you two days to do it. So, why do the responsible thing and finish it now so you could spend the rest of the weekend relaxing when you can just continue to procrastinate.

After a short debate in your mind, you close your laptop and get to your feet. You shuffle along the hallway and into the kitchen. You open the fridge and begin to search for something you could eat. As you had your head shoved inside the fridge, your phone, which just so happened to be in your pocket, goes off. You jump and hit your head against the roof of the fridge. You frown as you pull out the device with one hand and rub your head with the other.

"Hello?" you mutter.

"uH, hI (Y/N)." the timid voice of your friend Tavros replies.

"Hey Tav," you exclaim happily, "what's up?"

"i WAS JUST WONDERING IF YOU WANTED TO COME OVER?" he asks.

"Sure, I'm not busy," You tell him, "I'll see you soon."

With that you hang up. So much for the food. You close the fridge door and go back to your room in search for a pair of shoes. Once you find some you slip them on and head off.

It didn't take long for you to get to Tavros' house, since you only lived about two blocks from each other. You reach the door of the hive and knock. You hear a faint 'I'm coming' and footsteps before the door swings open, showing your cyborg troll friend.

"Hey Tav!" you greet, pulling the shorter figure in for a hug.

"hI (N/N)!" he replies with just as much enthusiasm, wrapping his arms around your torso.

You both walk into the house and close the door behind you.

"So, where are the two miscreants?" you ask about the two older bronze bloods.

"uH, RUFIOH IS OUT WITH HORRUS AND SUMMONER WENT OUT." Tavros explains.

You nod at the explanations as you sit on the couch.

"So, what do you want to do?" you ask him.

"i WAS THINKING WE COULD, uH, gO FOR A WALK IN THE PARK." Tavros suggests.

"That sounds great." You say as you get back onto your feet.

You grab Tavros' hand as you begin to tug him along. He sputtered a few incoherent words as you leave the house. You smile as you watch the birds hop along the tree branches. It was spring at the moment so the weather was wonderful, perfect to go for a walk.

You and Tavros don't talk much as you stroll through the park. Every now and again you would talk about things that had happened during the week, or something you were looking forward to.

The both of you freeze when a familiar voice speaks up from behind you.

"Oh hiiiiiiii there."

You frown as you turn around, looking at the cerulean blood.

"Hi Vriska." You roll your eyes.

"What are you two doing here?" she asks.

"Taking a walk, obviously." You reply flatly.

"Aww, why are you 8eing so defensive?" she snickers.

From the corner of your eye you could see Tavros was scared. No matter how much of a brave face he had on, you could always tell.

"C'mon Tav, let's go." You say as you turn back around.

Just as you were about to walk away you hear Vriska's footsteps get closer. As quickly as you can, you spin around, pulling your strife specibus at the same time. You press the weapon to the troll's neck.

"Come near him and I'll decapitate you." You threaten.

Vriska snickers at your threat, but takes a step back.

"Whatever you s8y." she says and walks away.

You sigh in relief as you put your specibus away. You turn to Tavros, who was looking at you, slightly bewildered.

"What?" you ask.

"tHAT WAS VERY, uH, bRAVE OF YOU." He smiles.

"Of course," you chuckle, "I'll always be brave for you."

You were about to say something else, but you feel something press against your cheek. You look down at Tavros, whose cheeks have now turned bright bronze.

"Now that," you begin, kissing the boy's cheek, "was brave."
