Tavros x Reader

You sat by a window with your flush crush Tavros. Moonlight reflected through the windows, lighting both of your faces making it possible to see one and other in the dark. Tavros told you that trolls didn't go outside during the day and instead went out during the night. It confused you, at first you thought they were vampires of some kind, but he never really explained it enough for you to really understand so you just assumed they were afraid of the sun or something. You originally came over because Tavros invited you to come and play fiduspawn and watch Pupa Pan with him for a while, but he seemed really off tonight, and instead rolled his wheelchair over to the window. Right now he was leaning on the window frame, his left arm supporting his head, his hand balled into his hair. He seemed nervous and a little uncomfortable, trying to figure out what to say. His deep hue of a bronze blush wasn't making it any easier for him.

You couldn't help but let your eyes move, giving you a full view of his moonlit face. You let them follow the lines of his nose, mouth and face down to his jawline and back up. He was so handsome, and he didn't seem to notice that. He only seemed more uncomfortable when he noticed you staring at him, but he didn't move. He cursed the blush that was now spreading to the tips of his pointed ears. Your eyes traveled again, now focused on Tavros' beautiful cocoa brown eyes. They were glassy and shiny in the light. You soon realized that light wasn't there before.

Your gaze traveled from the face of your flush crush to the dark green grass of his yard. You weren't expecting to be able to see out there, seeing as it was late enough in the night for it to be pitch black out there. Your curiosity was peeked as you searched for the source of this mysterious light. Tavros squinted trying to work out what he was seeing.

"uHH,,, (Y/N)," Tavros sounded more confused than you were. "wHAT ARE THOSE WEIRD BUG THINGS?"

You looked over at Tavros, making a face before following his trail of sight. You noticed the glow of your favorite bugs in the universe.

"Oh! Those are fireflies," You smiled at Tavros, who was now meeting your gaze. "You wanna go outside?"

You laughed at Tavros' adorable expression. It seemed like the look of discomfort on his face was something that was permanently drawn on. You stood from where you were sitting on Tavros' floor and walked behind him, preparing to take the handles of his wheelchair to help him outside.

"Don't worry, they're more harmless than you." You stopped to boop his nose, laughing as he screeched in mock annoyance.

Tavros seemed to calm down more once you had wheeled him outside and to the center of the circle of lightning bugs.  A few brave fireflies landed on different parts of his body, from his horns to his shoulders and arms. One perched itself upon his finger, which he stuck out and brought closer to his face to inspect the bug.

"uHH,,, i THINK THE SUN IS TRAPPED IN THIS BUG."

You discovered that the grass was slightly wet when you sat down. You winced as you began to feel the water that you assumed was once rain soaking through your jeans. A few fireflies landed in your hair, and one landed on your nose much like how you had booped Tavros' earlier.

"That's what's cool about fireflies," You looked over at Tavros, his body now being lit by not only the moonlight but the soft yellow glow of the fireflies. "They almost look unreal, like they've got little balls of electricity for asses."

"iF IT'S NOT ELECTRICITY THEN UHH,,, wHAT IS IT?" Tavros opened his balled fist and watched as a firefly that had been previously resting on his upper arm crawled into his palm.

"See that's the thing, I don't know," You closed your eyes as the brave firefly that had made itself comfortable on your nose fluttered and then flew off of where it was perched. "I'm convinced that they actually do have electric asses, because that's cool."

Tavros laughed and scared a couple of the bugs off of his body. He found himself looking over at you, who was now staring off into the darkness that was the unlit backyard. The fireflies had began to fly away now, leaving the two of you sitting outside without purpose. Tavros felt a lump build in his throat, he'd been meaning to tell you that he was flushed for you for quite a while, and now, seeing how amazing you looked with a silver tint from the light of the giant orb that you called a moon on your skin was driving him insane. He needed to get it off of his chest. He just couldn't. He was glad you were distracted, most likely with your thoughts as you looked out at his back fence.

"uHH,,, (Y/N)?"

He gulped loudly, and you heard it. He seemed visibly nervous again, the blush you had seen earlier returning and burning bright enough to become a deep dark shade of bronze that most likely matched the intensity of his actual blood color.

"What's up?"

He turned towards you slightly, instantly regretting it as your eyes met his. He couldn't handle it, but he couldn't back out now because he knew you wouldn't let him get away with it. He took a deep breath, trying to calm his nerves and luckily succeeding.

"i UHH,,, hAVE TO TELL YOU SOMETHING," Tavros paused and looked down at the ground. You nodded to encourage him to continue when he lifted his head again. "yOU HAVE TO PROMISE NOT TO UHH,,, lAUGH,,, oR RUN AWAY."

"Why would I ever do that Tav?" You smiled and shuffled a bit to get more comfortable, prepared to listen to whatever Tavros was about to say.

"i UHH,,,"

Tavros paused again, he didn't seem to want to continue. The moment seemed to last forever, silent understanding as you waited for him to be comfortable enough to continue.

"uHH,,, cOULD YOU JUST COME A LITTLE CLOSER?"

You quirked an eyebrow but did as Tavros asked anyway, sitting up on your knees and moving over to him, sitting beside his wheelchair again. Almost as quickly as you sat beside him, you felt grey lips meet your own pinkish red ones. Your eyes widened further than you could have ever imagined possible, you could see Tavros' blush and you could feel your own. You closed your eyes and kissed back, smiling into the kiss and wrapping your arms around Tavros' neck. You weren't worried about air right now, this was more important. Eventually, Tavros began to worry that you would run out of air and pass out on him, so he reluctantly pulled away from you.

"i UHH,,, i'M SORRY."

"Don't be, you did what I was too afraid to."

Tavros blushed again, that familiar bronze color reaching up to the very tips of his pointed elf like ears.

"yOU WANTED TO DO THAT?" Tavros' eyes were full of hope. He almost looked like a kid being told he was getting exactly what he wanted to get for Christmas. And if you admitting you were flushed for him was what he wanted, then he sure was going to be happy.

"Yeah," You smiled at the adorable troll boy sitting beside you, his face now coated completely in bronze blush. "I'm flushed for you Tavros."

He stuttered out a reply, "i-I'M FLUSHED FOR YOU TOO (Y/N)."

Tavros reached his hand out and grabbed yours. He seemed amazed at how soft it was against his. He took another deep breath before asking you a question that had been killing him.

"wILL,,, yOU UHH,,, bE MY MATESPRIT?"

"Of course."
