Meulin x Female Reader
A/N
Hey guys! All I've got to say is (Y/C/N) stands for your cousins name :)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your cousin smiled shyly at you. Today they had invited you to a cat cafe with them. It was your first time at one of these places, but your cousin had been here a ton of times before, so she already knew everything there was on the menu. There was only one problem. She was deaf, and had trouble communicating with people.
So today you were here to be a good cousin and help the waiters and waitresses finally understand what she was saying. The both of you made yourselves comfortable at one of the nice tables with huge, comfortable lounge chairs and stared down at the menus. Cute things like chamomeow (which was chamomile, but with a smart cat pun name) tea, earl grey mouse tea, cat shaped cookies and all other kinds of cute cat things. Along with treats you could order to feed the cats.
Speaking of which, an adorable and fluffy Siamese cat was glancing at you with curious green eyes. It's tail wagged in time with the hands of the cat shaped clock on the wall across from you as it purred mysteriously. A few moments later, you felt a weight suddenly move into your lap and there was the cat.
"Oh, hello there little guy." You stroked the cat soothingly and laughed as it mewed when you scratched behind it's ears.
'Made a friend already?' Your cousin signed to you. A smirk made it's way to your face as you nodded and continued to brush the cat's fur with your fingers.
'Yeah, it's a cute one.' You signed back before coming through it's fur again.
Out of the corner of your eye, you noticed a waitress approaching you. It was a troll girl with horns shaped like cat ears, an olive green sweater with a Leo symbol, a black skirt and knee high black socks on underneath her apron which was decorated adorably with an array of pins supporting animal welfare and a painted on cat face and long black hair that cascaded down her shoulders. She stopped in front of the two of you and thought for a moment. She opened her mouth to speak but then she shook her head.
Your cousin signed something to you which you didn't quite pick up, but the slightly sad waitress automatically noticed the sign language and sighed loudly before she began to sign.
'That gog mew guys know sign language! I've been working here for about a week and I'm still trying really hard to remember how to talk to people. It's a little hard being deaf and having to speak when you can't even hear your own voice.'
Luckily, you had known sign language yourself for a long time, and instantly lifted your fingers away from the attention craving cat that was now rolling around in your lap and slapping you with it's adorable paws to sign back to the waitress.
'I definitely understand that. Kind of sucks you have to learn how to do it for the job though.'
The girl nodded before she shrugged and continued signing. 'Yeah I guess it does. It's alright though, I love my job! I just have to look at all the pawsitives.'
You laughed at the clever cat pun the troll girl had made. She was perfect for a job at a place like this. The cat in your lap sat up properly and poked its head up to rest it on the table.
'Anyway, I'm (Y/N) and this is my cousin (Y/C/N).' You pointed at your cousin who waved shyly and continued to pet her side, motioning for the tabby cat that had been eyeing her from a distance to come join her.
'Nice to meet you guys! I'm Meulin. Now, what can I get mew?'
'We'll both take a plate of those treats so we can feed these adorable cats and I'll take some chamomeow tea.'
--Timeskip brought to you by Meulin being adorable as always--
After spending about an hour in the cafe, you and your cousin finally decided to leave and head home. However, you had also decided to bring Meulin along with you. She got off of work at the perfect time for the three of you to hang out back at your house for a while.
Meulin had seemed so cheery at first, but now she was walking slowly behind you and your cousin. Her eyes scanned over her phone repetitively until she noticed your gaze on her and your worried smile. She shoved her phone into the pocket of the jacket she had slung over her sweater before you had left.
'Are you alright?' You signed to the adorable cat girl, who crossed her arms across her chest defensively. You shrugged it off until later that afternoon when it just got too much to handle.
'Meulin, I understand if you don't want to talk about it, but you seem really off and I can't help but want to know if you are alright.'
Your cousin had got up to head to the bathroom leaving the two of you alone. She nodded and stared at the ground for a minute before she began to sign to you.
'I'm fine, but my ex matesprit Purrloz--I mean--Kurloz, messaged me. I've been trying to get over him for a while, but he keeps texting me at weird times,' Meulin sighed. 'I'm pretty sure he has gone down the same path as his brother and that he might be drinking if you know what I mean.'
'Oh gosh, I'm sorry Meulin.'
Meulin nodded again and shrugged. 'I'm purretty sure I'm over him now though.' Meulin turned towards you more, suddenly her soft and grey hands made their way to yours. You could feel a blush reaching your cheeks as she moved them from your lap to hers.
Meulin lifted one of her hands off of yours. 'Because I'm flushing for you.'
Your blush only got more intense as her face moved closer to yours. The olive blood wrapped her arms around your torso and let her grey lips meet with yours. Her lips were even softer than her hands. She opened her eyes which had been drifting closed and moved from your lap again.
'Sorry.' Meulin's cheeks lit up with an olive hue.
'Don't be, I'm flushing for you too.'
