Meenah x Aranea

Meenah stalked around the dream bubbles for what seemed to be the millionth time. She'd been here for a sweep now, ever since she'd died and she'd seen heaps of the trolls she'd fought beside before they all died, but she was yet to see the most important troll of all her matesprit Aranea.

She'd been dating the Serket for two sweeps before all of this happened, and Meenah usually wasn't one for showing her emotions but everyone here could tell she was upset. The trolls who didn't totally hate her assured her that it's okay and Aranea is probably just lost. Porrim had even stayed at her hive for a week to help cheer her up and distract her.

Porrim was busy these days, and that meant that Meenah was left to her own thoughts and devices. She'd thought about heading way out into the furthest parts of the dream bubbles to find her, and now she was acting on that thought.

So far the poor lovesick sea dweller hadn't found anything. There were a few hives out here, but no one had seen a troll girl in a blue dress. She'd knocked on every door, asked every human and troll and no one had seen her. She was growing more and more angry with every moment, how could Aranea even get lost in the dream bubbles? Why hasn't anyone else tried to find her? She sighed heavily and cursed under her breath.

As she reached the sandy shore of the beach and stabbed her trident into the searing hot sand, she began to loose hope. Meenah snarled and sat lazily on a rock. The waves crashed against the sand to make the beautiful background sound that kept Meenah from loosing it completely. She threw her head into her hands and rubbed her eyes until it made her vision blurry, and when it cleared she couldn't help but gasp at what she saw.

A familiar troll was walking along the water, her feet in the whitewash and shoes held in her hand. Her feet sunk into the sand as she walked heading towards the address Porrim had texted her to surprise her fishy girlfriend, but instantly got distracted by the huge trident sticking into the soft sand. Her eyes followed the footprints right near the weapon and noticed a familiar face with white eyes staring back at her and long midnight black braids sliding down the side of a rock.

"ARAN-EA?" Meenah's face lit up.

Aranea smiled and opened her arms as her matesprit ran across the hot sand to get to her. Her shoes made a thudding noise as they hit the ground. Meenah practically slammed into the girl and snaked her arms around her waist. Meenah pecked her matesprits bright blue blush covered cheeks.

"Hello Meenah, sorry to keep you w8ting, I was supposed to meet Porrim to surprise you."

"W)(ere the s)(ell )(ave you been?" Meenah's voice was muffled as she pressed her face into the blue fabric of Aranea's dress.

"I honestly don't know," Aranea thought, she ran her hands up and down her matesprits's back in a soothing comforting way. "8ut at least I'm here now."

"Don't -EV-ER scare me like t)(at again."

Meenah moved and placed her arms under Aranea's body. One went under her knees and the other behind her neck.

"Meenah what are you doing?"

")(a )(a )(a," Meenah chuckled and lifted her matesprit off of the ground in one swift motion. Aranea could feel her feet leaving the ground and moved suddenly to wrap her arms around Meenah's neck as a reflex. Meenah was now holding the cerulean blooded girl in her arms held comfortably in a bridal hold and she was not planning on putting her down anytime soon.

"Meenah, could you please put me 8ack down, I'm capable of walking on my own you know?"

")(a)(a, you fish it'd be that easy," Meenah teased. She began to walk towards the water.

"Meenah, Porrim's directions said it was that way," Aranea pointed into the distance. She turned around to see where Meenah was trying to take her. "Meenah no that's the ocean!"

"You really t)(ink I don't know t)(at?" Meenah's smirk was growing, sharp teeth showing. Her feet swished through the shallow parts of the water. She continued to walk in until it was up to her knees, wetting her black jeans.

"Meenah please put me 8ack down now!"

"S)(ore, if t)(at's w)(at you really want." Meenah was still smirking. Aranea's eyes were now wide from shock as she realised what her matesprit was up to. She reached up an arm and took off her glasses and the pearl necklace hanging around her neck that Meenah had got her on their one sweep anniversary. She quickly threw them towards the shore and somehow managed to get them to land beside her shoes.

Meenah was finally satisfied with how deep the water was out here. It was reaching her hips now, wetting the bottom of her shirt. She was sure dropping her matesprit here wouldn't hurt her. Aranea seemed to calm down, seeing as she was still in her matesprit's arms. The both stared at one and other for a moment.

"Meenah!" Meenah let go of her matesprit, prepared to watch her fall into the blue ocean, but before Aranea could fully go under water, she grabbed Meenah's outstretched arms and pulled the girl in with her.

"S)(IT!" Meenah cursed as she slipped and fell into the water. She opened her eyes once she was under water and noticed Aranea staring at her and smirking. Meenah rolled her eyes and smiled as her matesprit headed up for air. Meenah didn't need to however and swam further out into the water. Her braids were now wet and flowing behind her like the hair of a human mermaid. She grabbed a shell that she could see on the ocean floor, it was beautiful. It had swirls of green and blue but had a dark grey base. It was crazy to her how shells could have such beautiful colour.

She swam back to her matesprit who was now back under water, her short hair glinting in the sunlight reflecting on the water. She passed the shell to her and watched as she smiled and went back up for air again. This time Meenah decided to join her.

"It's 8eautiful Meenah," Aranea stared at the conch shell in her hands.

"Just like you."

"Who are you and what have you done to my m8sprit?" Aranea raised an eyebrow at the girl.

Meenah smirked again and went back underwater. Quickly and swiftly, she pulled Aranea's feet back, making her fall backwards into the deeper water. She clenched the shell to her chest as she fell in. Meenah's fins fluttered, as her matesprit glared at her and suddenly decided to connect her lips with Meenah's. The cerulean blue lipstick that once covered the blue blood's lips was now all washed out in the water.

A pinkish blush took over Meenah's cheeks as she pulled her matesprit closer. She almost forgot the poor girl needed air until she pulled away and headed back up for it, gasping.

"I h8 you so much," Aranea sighed when Meenah popped her head out of the water.

"I'm flus)(ed for you too."

Aranea laughed and pushed Meenah's head back underwater. This was going to be a long afternoon.
