Latula x Female reader
Today you and your sister were sent out to buy some odd things from Walmart. This was nothing knew to the two of you, since your mother was always encouraging the two of you to get out there exercise, bond and be useful. That led to the both of you asking for way more money than you needed so the both of you could buy some candy while you were out.
You knew that people were usually stupid for fun at Walmart. One time when you went to Walmart to buy a gift for secret Santa and saw a group of cosplayers with bright pink wigs running around the store. Another time you eavesdropped while a family had an argument about which oreos they should buy an isle over. So it was honestly no surprise to you when you stepped inside of the store today and saw three trolls chasing one and other around the store.
The trolls were all female, one of them with long braids and a Pisces symbol on the front of her shirt, the second with cone shaped horns wearing red glasses and the last wearing a black and jade green dress that she almost tripped on. You pushed your younger sister a little behind you to stop the group from accidentally hitting her while they sped down an isle in a shopping cart.
"Okay, let's just get the stuff and get out of here," You smiled at your sister. "This is a very important mission and we have twenty minutes to get it done. Can I trust you to take this list and find the first two things on it on your own?"
Your sister nodded and took the list from you, releasing your hand after having held it since the last time the two of you had to cross the road. You knew the two things on that part of the list were in the isle you were already in, but it would take her a while to find them. This gave you plenty of time to try and talk the trolls out of playing dodgem cars with shopping carts.
"Uh, hello there," You decided to speak to the most mature looking troll.
The girl lifted her white eyes from her phone and looked you up and down for a moment before she lent more against the wall she was leaning on.
"Hello+." She looked back down at her screen and continued to scroll.
"Are these guys your friends?"
The girl looked up from her phone again and looked where you were looking before chuckling.
"Yes they are, that is Latula and that is Meenah," The girl pointed out her friends to you. "And I am Po+rrim."
"Well, nice to meet you Porrim, I'm (Y/N)," You gave Porrim finger guns to avoid the awkward do I hug you do I shake your hand problem you always had to deal with. "I'm here with my younger sister, we had to avoid that speeding cart your friends Meenah and Latula are sitting in."
"O+h yeah, so+rry abo+ut that, I to+ld the idio+ts to+ sto+p befo+re they go+t us kicked o+ut, but tho+se bitches are crazy to+gether, they didn't listen," Porrim laughed. "If yo+u want any chance o+f getting them to+ sto+p, yo+u sho+uld talk to+ them yo+urself."
You nodded and thanked Porrim. Meenah was holding her braids up now while she walked to avoid getting them stuck under the wheels of the shopping cart Latula was sitting in. Latula was holding the large trident that Meenah had been pointing at frightened children earlier while rolling down the isle what was now her makeshift race car of sorts.
"Meenah?" You watched as Meenah turned away from Latula and stood with her arms crossed, dropping the long braids of black hair that was resting on them down to the floor.
"What the bloody s)(ell do you want?"
Latula turned around, annoyed that her ride down the isle had stopped. Her eyes met yours behind her rectangular red glasses, the trident in her hands now idly laying on the side of the shopping cart. She stared for a moment before a smile took over her features.
"H3y, you s33m pr3tty r4d1c4l, you w4nn4 jo1n us?"
You quirked an eyebrow at the troll girl who had now moved to hang her legs over the side of the shopping cart opposite to where the giant trident was poking out. She was smiling at you and winked through her glasses.
"Uh..." You blushed, completely stumped with no idea what to say.
"Oh com3 on b4b3, jo1n us," Latula smirked when your blush intensified. She didn't know your name so she got away with using a pet name. "Th3r3 ar3 only thr33 of us, w3 could us3 w1th mor3 trolls, or 1 gu3ss p3opl3. Sp34k1ng of wh1ch, wh4t's your n4m3?"
"It's (Y/N)."
Latula looked over at Meenah who shrugged her shoulders and began to walk over to where Porrim was standing. You could hear the sea dweller mumbling before both Porrim and Meenah returned.
"O+h, by the way (Y/N), did yo+u want so+meo+ne to+ watch yo+ur human wriggler descendant?"
"Uh... What?"
"I believe yo+u called it a 'little sister,'" Porrim thought. A look of worry crossed your face when you remembered you had left your sibling in an isle and almost completely forgotten about her. "Do+n't wo+rry, I'll watch the wriggler. Do+n't kill anyo+ne."
"H3r3 (Y/N), 1'll mov3 th1s tr1d3nt," Latula pointed the weapon at Meenah, nearly poking her in the nose with it's sharp ends. The troll swore before she huffed and lifted it out of the shopping cart. "Com3 s1t 1n h3r3 w1th m3, 1t's fun."
Before you could insist on walking beside them, Meenah had dropped the trident to the ground and hoisted you above her head. You shrieked as you avoided touching her horns with your back. She dropped you into the shopping cart beside Latula, who's legs were finally back in the shopping cart as Meenah leant the trident over the both of you and lifted her braids again. Everything else became a blur and all you could hear was excited screaming from the troll beside you.
You had just become one of the idiots doing stupid things In Walmart, and you were having fun doing it. It turns out speeding around the place in a shopping cart and risking getting kicked out permanently was fun. You looked over at Latula, who was the only thing you could see clearly right now. You laughed at the pure look of joy on her face. She looked over at you and shoved you lightly in the arm.
Suddenly Meenah turned around a corner a little two fast. It was almost like being on a rollercoaster without seatbelts. You slid across the shopping cart and shrieked, worried you were about to fall out, but instead you landed in a pair of warm arms.
You lifted your head to look up at Latula. She was smiling, arms wrapped around your torso. Everything seemed to be going so fast, including the moment her lips met yours. They tasted like lemonade, probably from the can you saw dropped on the ground beside the pool toys in the garden isle. You have no idea why either of those things were in that isle. You closed your eyes and melted into the kiss. Your brain must have left your skull a few isles ago, because here you were in a shopping cart kissing someone you barely knew. Latula pulled away as the two of you reached the isle filled with fishing gear. Meenah had stopped pushing the cart to stare at the fake bait.
"Wow b4b3, 1 d1dn't know you w3r3 so spont4n1ous!" Latula laughed. You pushed her face away with the palm of your hand and pouted when you heard her chuckling muffled by your hand.
"Says the girl who told me to join her and kissed me while flying through the book isle in a shopping cart being pushed by a troll with a trident," You smirked.
"Do humans reely think this s)(it will catc)( a sea dweller?"
