You were in the car as your mom was driving you to the school. Your nervous system was making you go crazy inside, walking inside the school alone. You leaned your head on the car window and looked at whatever you drove by.

"You'll be fine honey, Homecoming dances are fun!" Your mom says. "I know, I know...." You said. "Then cheer up! Who knows what will happen when you go in!" You give a small smile and nod. Just then you got a text, but what the message had said was a bit peculiar.

Cole: Have fun at the dance! 😊 There's a big surprise waiting just for you. 😉

"What the?" You asked yourself. But before you could respond back, your mom had pulled up at your school and gave you a hug and goodbye. "Bye mom! See you later!" You said and closed the car door. She waved back and you watched as she drove off. You turned around and faced the doors of your school and you took deep breaths before walking inside your school.

As you walked through the long hallway to the ballroom, you could already hear the sounds of party music coming from the ballroom and the sounds of students talking or walking through the hallway and the ballroom. You glanced through the hallway and saw the work you and your art club did. Long black banners swooping on the ceiling and 7 canvas decorations to represent all 7 continents of the world. The theme for the dance was Around the World and to be honest, you were pretty proud of the work you did to help.

As you entered the loud ballroom you could see students talking with their friends or dates, dancing on the dance floor, or having a snack break by the snack table. Just as you were looking around, trying to see if you could find anyone you knew, you got a call from Cole! You turned back around and went into the hallway so you could answer his call.

"Hello?" You answered. "Hey laur!" Cole said and you were surprised when you heard party music on his side of the line. "Cole where are you?" You asked. "Turn around laur." He says and you get curious and turn around. When you turned around you saw Cole! He was here in person!

You hung up and laughed as you ran to him and gave him a hug. "What are you doing here!?" You asked him and saw the big smile on his face. "I came here to surprise you! I'll be your date." He says and you blush again at how sweet Cole could be.

"Well this is a surprise! Haha thank you. But wait, how'd you get in? They look for tickets as soon as you walk in the building!" "I'm a ninja remember! Sneaking into places I'm not invited to is what I do!"

"Haha well you're the bestest friend I ever had! Thanks." You said but inside, you just really wish you could be more than friends. "I'd do anything for you laur! Your welcome. Oh and by the way you look beautiful!" He says and you chuckle and twirl in your dress.

"Thanks! You look handsome yourself!" You complimented him in his black tux with a brown vest and a brown tie. "Haha thanks, I wasn't fitting a Gi I was actually fitting this suit and since I didn't know how to tie a tie, I asked Sensei to tie it for me..." Cole explained and you smiled at how cute he was. "How old are you again?" You teased and he chuckled and pushed you playfully.

"Oh! Before I forget!" Cole says and pulls out a beautiful corsage for you with pink flowers with purple bows. He slips it on your wrist and you gasp at its beauty. "It's beautiful Cole! Thank you!" You say and give him a hug. "No problem! I was told you needed a corsage and of course I didn't know what one was but the guys had me covered so there ya have it!" He explains and you smile. "C'mon! Let's party!" Cole said and brings you inside the ballroom.
