You and Cole entered the ballroom and could already feel the fun energy coming from the students around the room. "Wow! You guys did a great job decorating the place!" Cole compliments. "Thanks!" You said and looked around the room, seeing some bits and pieces of the work you did.

When you turned around you accidentally bumped into someone. "I'm so sorry! Wait....Gia?!" You said as you looked at the girl you bumped into. "Lauryn! You look amazing!!" She says and you smile and give her a hug. "You too!"

"Where's Marco? Wasn't he your date?" You ask her but you asked too soon because he came to her. "Lauryn!! You came!" He greeted you and you smiled at him, even though it hurt inside. "Yup...here I am! Hehe." "Who's your date laur?!" Gia asks you and you looked up and Cole and he smiled at them.

"Gia, Marco, this is my friend Cole!" You introduced and your friends shook hands with Cole. "Nice to meet you guys! Lauryn's told me all about you!" Cole says. "Cool! Hey wait, aren't you that black ninja from Ninjago or something?!" Gia asks.

You looked at Cole and he looked at you and back at your friends. "Ninja who? Nope never heard of him." Cole says and gives you a wink. You start laughing at how clueless your friends could be. "Oh ok. Well you two enjoy the dance! We'll see you around. Bye laur! Nice meeting you Cole!" Marco said and walked away with Gia through the crowd.

"Hahaha! You got them really good!" You said, slowing down your laughter. "Sure did! Haha!" "And uh about them, Marco was the guy I was kinda hoping would ask me but instead he asked Gia. And uh see those two over there? That's my other crush, I was also hoping he'd ask me if Marco didn't but instead he asked out my other friend right there. It's just...sad I guess, I thought he liked me back. It...still hurts I guess." You explained, losing the smile on your face. You've told Cole about all your friends here and he knows about the guys you've had crushes on, except himself.

You hug yourself and look down. "Hey, those two aren't worth crushing on if they went out with your friends instead. They don't see how great of a girl you are and I'm a really lucky guy to be the one to be here with you. And c'mon, what kind of friends would those girls be if they knew that you liked those two!" He tells you and you look up at Cole and smile.

He was right, those boys really weren't worth crushing on if they made you feel hurt or cry on the inside. And you knew that your real life friends weren't as caring as your friends on kik, or as Cole and the ninja. You smiled at Cole and gave him a hug. "I'm glad you're here." You told him. "Me too." He says and rubs your back.
