special: What if Magnus met her first (part three)

After a night's sleep, (y/n) woke from her usual nightmares. They have recently seemed to have increased in intensity. She got up and made her bed before washing her face and going down to the kitchen to make a quick breakfast before getting ready to go to school. She heard a solid knock at the door and peeked through the glass to see who it was. A black button up dirt covered by a vest and a heavy jacket stood out against the Grey background. The girl saw a red tie and blond stubble. Magnus kept his word to come back. The albino opened the door to let him in. The tall man walked in and looked down at the girl. His eyebrow raised at her being in her nightclothes.
"Cats?," the man asked.
"Cats are very cute.," (y/n) responded.
"I would have thought you'd choose rabbits.," Magnus said and looked around, "Already making something? I'll finish it. Go get ready."
"What about uou? Do you need something?," the girl asked.
"I'll get a bit of coffee. Go get ready for school.," the Dane repeated his order to her.
The albino girl obeyed and ran up to her room to get ready. She brushed her hair out and decided to tie it back and up. She put on her uniform shirt first before some black leggings to go under her skirt. Over the shirt she put on her jacket and tied it together with her bow tie that had her school's colors. She slipped on her socks and her house shoes before grabbing her school bag and walking downstairs.

Magnus had already finished the breakfast and made himself coffee.
"Isn't that skirt a bit short?," he commented.
"Yeah. Both winter and summer uniforms have pretty short skirts. I put on shorts or leggings under them.," the albino girl replied and set her bag on the Ottoman beside the couch.
(Y/n) sat down at the dining table where the man placed the breakfast plate. He finished cooking what she had been making. How he was able to make it look good was impressive. The girl ate silently as Magnus walked over to the table, Coffee in hand.
"I may not be able to walk you home this afternoon, but I arranged for someone to do so in my place.," the Danish man said as he sat down in front of (y/n).
"Who?," (y/n) asked.
"Loki. You'll be meeting him after school.," Magnus explained.
The girl nodded and finished her plate. She took it to the kitchen and cleaned it in the sink before she placed it in the drying rack next to the sink. She heard the chair Magnus was in move before his steps going to the door.
"Ready to go?," Magnus inquired.
"I am.," the young woman replied and retrieved her bag.
"Wait. I need a picture of you to give Loki so he can find you.," the Dane spoke and took out his phone, "May I?"

(Y/n) stood still and nodded, giving him nonverbal permission to take her picture. She gave him a warm smile to take a picture of. He quickly snapped a picture and sent the picture to Loki. The burned man quickly responded with how cute she was. The albino was pretty excited about meeting the man later. Perhaps she and he could go do something fun after school. Magnus let her lock the door as they left and walked together. He pulled his fur lined coat closer to his body as he felt the freezing cold air of the wintery morning, his eyes looked down to the girl beside him and saw her shiver a little. His large hand pulled her closer to him as he let her under his coat.
The pale girl felt the soft fur of the coat press against her cheek and the warmth of the much larger man as she was pulled under the coat. Once again, he was being kind to her. Was this from his promise to her mother or from him truly wanting to make sure she was okay? (Y/n) felt her companion's muscles under his clothes. He had a lot of muscle. Just how muscular and strong was this man? The albino tripped a bit and steadied herself by holding onto the clothing of the muscular Dane. Magnus looked down at her again after stopping to let her regain her balance.
"Your face is pink.," the tall man commented, "Do you feel alright?"
"I'm fine. Thank you.," the teen girl replied and held onto the large man for both warmth and comfort.
She felt gazes of her schoolmates burn into her and Magnus, the man sensed her unease and held her hand. Those schoolmates meant nothing in the long run. As soon as he got her to trust him, she would no longer need to care about what they thought.

Magnus took her to school and gave her the small lunch bag he picked up from her home. He had filled it with a healthy and delicious meal for her.
"Loki will try to be here when you get out. If he is not, go to a nearby store and wait for him. He will find you.." the blond man said and walked away.
He wanted to give her a kiss on the head, but it was a little too soon. (Y/n) held the lunch bag and shivered a little before walking into the schoolhouse. She went to her first class of the day and sat down. She was hopeful about the day. She was not lonely and isolated. Her red violet eyes closed as she inhaled the scent of the older male silently. She felt like she knew him already. Like they had met long ago. Like she had met him and others before.
She heard cruel comments from nearby and sneers from her classmates. That did not matter to her as she held her lunch. She heard footsteps approach her desk and looked up to the incoming classmates.

--

Snow crunched underfoot as a man walked through town. His hot breath cause clouds of smoke like vapor to firm around him. His dark amethyst eyes scanned around the area, searching for the one he was supposed to meet.
"Dammit. I should have paid more attention to the directions he gave me. Where's that school?," he hissed out, releasing a stream of even more vapor.
He checked his watch and clicked his tounge, it was past time he was supposed to be there. He was late. He hated being late. The man's fiery hair blew in the cold breeze as he walked.
"Now what did Magnus say to do if I was late?," he thought aloud and finally remembered, "That's right! Check local shops that are near her school!"
The man chuckled to himself and fixed his coat. He saw people looking at him quickly before looking away in either panic or disgust. He was used to it. His appearance was not the most pleasant to normal people with his scarring. The large burn that took up half his face was a testament to that. He brushed his gloved hand over his scar that covered over his eye and cheek. He felt the texture through his glove. It healed in a strange way, looking more like scales than regular burns. Perhaps because of his friend helping him in his time of need.

The burned man walked through the streets and found the road where the shool was and looked around, he saw several shops. Including a bookstore next to the coffee shop that Magnus told him about. He might as well check the coffee shop. There were private booths he could talk to the girl in. His deep blue coat blew in the wind, the soft lining kept him insulated. He felt like he was overheating but he had to keep it on, otherwise people would see even more scarring. The man walked into the coffee shop and looked around. He did not see who he was supposed to meet.
"Excuse me.," he spoke to a waiter, "I am looking for someone, have you seen an albino young woman?"
The waiter looked a little disgusted by the man's appearance, but directed him back to the booth the girl was in. The pale scarred man walked back there and looked into the booth with a smile before it fell into a scowl. (Y/n) was soaked and shivering.  Her white school shirt and jacket were stained with a mix of brightly colored liquids. She had to walk to the coffee shop soaked in freezing weather. He bit back his rage and made himself smile again.
"Hej, (y/n)?," He greeted and saw big red violet eyes look up at him.
He saw she was holding a towel that one of the service staff must have given her to help dry her off. Seeing her face in person made him even more mad that someone could have been so cruel to her.
"Loki?," the young woman shivered as she spoke and moved when he motioned her to let him sit beside her instead of across from her.
The burned man took the towel from her and began to help her dry off.

"Who did this to you?," he asked.
"Fellow students. They saw me with Magnus and began to say awful things to me and about me.," the albino girl shivered as Loki dried her long silvery hair off.
Loki kept drying her off and helped her out of her soaked School jacket. He hung it on the back of a chair to dry as he got another towel from the waitstaff to dry her off. The staff gladly gave it to him after seeing he was helping the shivering girl.
The fiery haired man took off his gloves, revealing his scarred hands and wiped the cold liquid from her arms and face. Both were quiet as she was being dried.
"I'm sorry. I wish we met with better circumstances.," (y/n) apologized in a soft voice.
"Don't apologize for this, this is not your fault.," Loki replied and placed a warm hand on her head.
He felt how much her temperature had dropped because of the cruel act her schoolmates inflicted. He needed to warm her up. A warm meal and a hot drink would help. He was about to get up to see a menu when he heard (y/n)'s stomach growl. He then realized that she did not have her lunch bag or normal school bag with her. Loki felt his rage burn and build even greater inside of him. But, he knew he could not act on it. He had to keep being charming and kind.
"(Y/n), do you feel hungry? I can get you something to eat.," the burned man offered in a warm voice, "I'll pay. Don't worry."
His offer was acknowledged by his young company as she raised her head to listen to him. Loki give her a menu to pick out what she wanted and noticed that she picked a meal that was not as expensive. She must have done that to not be a burden on his wallet. Loki could not help but be in awe of her thoughtfulness.

The burned man took off his coat after some deliberation and gave it to the shivering albino girl. The Scandinavian teen was surprised by the sudden weight on her shoulders and the feeling of warmth.
"Here, you need it more than I do.," the burned man said with a friendly smile.
Loki waited for a waiter and gave their orders to the waitstaff member as well as thanking the employee for helping them. The employee seemed to relax after Loki spoke, the burned man had used his charm to calm the anxiety ridden waiter down. After the young waiter left, Loki turned his charming smile right back to the albino teen beside him.
(Y/n) was able to see his scars even better now he removed his gloves and coat, she could observe how he looked even better than in the photo he sent before. The man was scarred over a large portion of his body. His hair was a fiery color, what seemed to be a strange mix of both blond and red. His eyes were a dark amethyst color. Those eyes seemed to absorb all light, not shining at all. Eyes that should not be on a man as kind as Loki. Loki was muscular, not as muscular as Magnus, but still above average. His voice was not as deep as Magnus's. It was deep, bit it had it's own light playfulness to it.
"Hey now, you're staring.," Loki teased lightly, "See something you like?"
The albino girl turned away after she realized her staring.
"What? Did you suddenly get shy?," the burned man chuckled.

He certainly was friendly and gentle, just as Magnus told her he was. Loki asked her about her day and listened to the young woman explain all that happened to her after Magnus escorted her to school. How school troublemakers took her lunch and threatened her. Threatened to make her out to be a degenerate who sleeps with muh older men by showing the pictures of her and Magnus they took. Loki had to bite back his rage again. Nobody did that to this girl and got away with it. He had to think of a way to get silent revenge instead of outright killing them. He needed to get (y/n)'s things back.
"I have a question. It's been bugging me since yesterday.," the albino spoke and turned back to the man, "How do you know my mother? Why did she make you promise to look after me?"
"I guess Maggie didn't tell you huh?," Loki smiled awkwardly and scratched at his cheek scars with a finger, "Well, Your mor was a very important and powerful person. Since you are her child, you're set to inherit her estate. But..."
The burned man paused and let out a breath, "You were hidden away as a baby since there were people after your mother's power. If those people find out about you, you will be in grave danger."
(Y/n)'s eyes got wide as she was given this revelation. Her head began to spin. If she was the daughter of someone so powerful, why wouldn't her father tell her? Or perhaps that was his intent, to keep her safe by keeping her in the dark. And having secret guards that protect her from a distance also made sense. Perhaps that's why they did not reveal themselves until recently. The Albino's mind spun as she thought of what was happening.

She did not notice Loki get up and walk to another table after he noticed something. She did get pulled back from her thoughts as Loki gave her previously stolen schoolboy back to her.
"Look what I found.," the burned man said with a large grin on his face, "Some nice young ladies gave this to me to return."
(Y/n) saw the students who had previously tormented her shivering at their table. Her red violet eyes looked back up to dark amethyst ones. She opened the bag to check on her things. Her workbooks were slightly water damaged, her phone was okay thankfully from the waterproof pouch her father thought of sewing into the bag. Her wallet was fine as well, no money was removed from it. The albino girl was so overwhelmed by relief from having her things returned that she hugged Loki.
The silvery white haired teen realized how warm Loki was after hugging him. Like a hot water bottle. He was so comfortable. The burned man's arms returned her hug.
"There's a smile! I was worried I was not going to see it!," Loki laughed out loud.
The scent of this man filled (y/n)'s nose, a gentle smokey scent with a hint of wood and a herbal mixture. Like burning incense. Again she felt like she knew this scent already. As if it was from a sweet memory deep in the past.
A small thought passed through her mind. Loki holding her with someone else beside him, although, (y/n) felt smaller in this thought. She returned to the present as Loki sat her back down and sat beside her to eat the meal that was brought to them. They chatted about topics of both school and of animals over dinner. As well as learning about a few of Loki's scars.

"Loki, something else has been bothering me.," (y/n) said after taking one last bite of her meal.
Loki's eyes rose to look at her, he was a little tense after hearing her tone.
"What's bothering you?," the fiery haired man asked.
"I feel like I knew you and Magnus already.," the girl explained, "It may sound weird but, I feel like I know your scent."
Silence was between them before Loki chuckled, his grin was wide. His chuckles broke into light laughter.
I sure hope so!," he laughed, "You kept wanting to be held by me when you were a little one!"
(Y/n) was surprised by this, "You held me as a baby?"
"I sure did. In fact Maggie and the others held you as well a few times before you were taken. We knew you for about two years before your father took you away.," Loki grinned, his eyes had a little light from his joy and playfulness.
The burned man reached into his pocket and took out a small booklet, "I like to carry memories with me, so I have the best ones to look back on at all times."
The fiery haired man opened the booklet and flipped through the pages before settling on one, "There you are, you liked to be carried."
(Y/n) looked at the photo and sure enough, it was her as a baby being held by Loki. A platinum haired young man was beside him and holding a small rattle toy to her. Both of them had smiles on their faces as they looked at the albino baby in Loki's arms.
"Who is that?," (y/n) asked as she pointed to the platinum haired young man.
Loki sighed, "Egil."

His tone was annoyed. As if he did not want to talk about or acknowledge the presence of the pale young man that was beside him. (Y/n) was curious about more of the pictures, perhaps this man could show her more of her mother and the others.
"Do you have any more?," the albino teen asked the burned man who seemed to become more excited about sharing.
The scar covered man set the booklet down on the table and puched it in front of the girl to let her look. He would tell her about whoever she was curious about in there. Her eyes seemed to get larger and sparkle. Loki felt his heart grow and warm. This was why he protects her, to see that smile and protect that innocence. He could already feel the changes in her. She was getting closer to being ready to return home with him. If all goes to Magnus's plans, they would have her right where they could keep her protected and have the same, if not greater, protection and edge they had with her mother. Their mother.
'You're too precious. Cute like a baby bunny and hold so much potential.,' Loki thought to himself as he watched her scan over the pictures.
She pointed to a picture with Magnus asleep at his desk, the tiny albino baby propped up against him also asleep. Loki smiled at that picture. His dark eyes filled with a small bit of light that showed his joy of seeing the image.
"I remember that. You were crying early in the morning and would not let anyone sleep, even after your mother took care of you.," Loki smiled, "Magnus was the only one who could calm you. Poor girl, you must have had a terrible little nightmare."

(Y/n) smiled at the picture and flipped the page, seeing a picture of her sitting up by herself in what looked to be a garden. Her tiny hands reaching up towards something or someone just out of frame.
"That garden was your Mor's idea. She wanted a place for you to play in while you grew up.," Loki explained and took the book, "You saw something that interested you that day. I think it was my dragon."
The silvery white haired girl watched as Loki put the book away. She felt a bit better about talking to him and spending time with him. She felt better after talking to him. She was so stressed after being so badly harassed that day. Exhaustion was catching up with her. Loki was making it easy for her to relax. The burned man paid for the meal and food. He returned to a dozing albino. He gathered her things and picked her up, giving her a piggyback ride.
Loki walked  with the girl on his back, a smile was on his face as the cold air bit at his skin. His dark eyes spotted a mane of golden hair and a dark red coat, so dark it looked black and the black fur that trimmed it. The warm man sped up as he felt the girl drop farther into sleep.
"Maggie, good to see you.," Loki greeted the blond man.
Magnus looked down to his burned man and the albino who was on his back. The girl had the burned man's jacket on. She was asleep on the warm man. The blond Dane smiled slightly and motioned Loki to follow him. The two men walked together. Magnus showed Loki to the house and he let then in with the key that Loki took from the girl's bag.

"Where's her room?," Loki asked.
"Not sure. I never saw it.," Magnus replied and walked upstairs with Loki following him. The hall was lined with minimal decorative pictures. Simple light fixtures gave the hallway a dim glow. However, another glow was with them. Loki looked back to see that the silvery white hair was glowing.
"Looks like she's growing faster than we predicted.," Loki murmured to try and not wake the young woman who was sleeping peacefully on his back.
The burned man felt her arms around his neck, her smaller body leaned against him, how she was so relaxed with him. He was glad Magnus decided to share the task. Now they just had to get her trust enough for them to bring her home. Then she will be perfectly safe. Magnus found the teen's room and was a bit disappointed to find it mostly bare save for a desk with a shelf of books, a bed and a dresser. This had to be from Malthe's paranoia. To be ready to move if something happened. Magnus wanted to understand more about the young lady from seeing her tastes, but he did not get that luxury. He silently cursed Malthe.
Loki set (y/n) on the bed and sighed. He liked the warmth she had, but he had to leave her now. As soon as he set her down, her face looked like she was having nightmares. Loki was immediately interested and placed his hand on hers. She ceased with the nightmares.
"Similar to her torment as an infant. Except this time I can help stop it.," Loki looked back at magnus with a small grin.
Magnus made a small sigh and walked out of her room, he walked into one of the other rooms. He was looking for Malthe's room. He wondered if Malthe had more decoration in his room. Only he was disappointed again.
"Why must you make this harder for me, Far?," Magnus asked to nobody in particular and left the room.

He saw Loki carrying some stained clothes downstairs.
"What are you doing?," Magnus asked.
"Her clothes were stained and dirty. I'm going to clean them. Do you have the ingredients for my usual stain remover technique?," the burned man replied, "It won't be very good if she has stained schoolclothes."
The blond Dane nodded to confirm they had all they needed to remove the stains on the girl's clothes, "This should be easier than removing blood stains."
Loki made a small chuckle before going to wash the clothes. Magnus returned to the Albino's room and saw her struggling against terrible visions in her sleep. He took her hand and looked to the one thing that stood out in her room. The rabbit toy on the bed. No doubt Malthe made that for (y/n) to play with when she was small. The Dane took the toy and gave it to the sleeping teen, her nightmares seem to diminish after she held it.
"You must not get enough sleep from this torment you go through.," Magnus whispered to her, "I'll find a way to fix this for you."
He did not have long to get on (y/n)'s good side. He had to work fast along with the others. But he did not want to introduce her to the rest too fast. He also had to think of a way to introduce her to the fact that they were her sibling and half siblings. Plus have her know that she already had a fiancé. To give her this information too quickly would cause her to be overwhelmed. He needed to have time. Time was what they all had, but some of their group were too impatient for their own good.

Magnus left her room and went downstairs, he met Loki down there. The burned man was treating the stains with a mixture he made.
"How's she sleeping, Maggie?," Loki asked as his dark eyes did not leave the cloth before him.
"She's tormented. More than likely is from that.," Magnus replied and stopped himself from lighting a cigarette.
The fiery haired man beside the Dane finished his work and held it up to look at it, "You know that we can't keep her secret from the others for long, right?"
"Which others?," the smokey blue eyed man inquired.
"Good point. But I mean that icy cold little shit and the biting pervert.," the scarred man replied, "Egil and Bernard will find out. Whether from stealing my phone to play with it or from coming to look for us."
"I want her to meet Thurston soon. But we need him to be nice to her so he doesn't scare her.," the Dane said.
Loki shivered at the name. He knew how hard and cruel that man could be. How insensitive and blunt. What heir mother saw in him as potential was also what kept him from being a charming person.
Thurston was not going to be an easy man for (y/n) to get along with. Loki knew he would act more like a serious bodyguard or an overprotective attack dog once he met the girl. They would have to teach him how to be kind and gentle to her so he would not scare her away. Loki thought more to himself and looked through the booklets, searching doe a good picture of Thurston.
