Special: What if Magnus met her first? (Part Seven)

Magnus woke from sleep. He had not even realized he was sleeping. He looked down to the girl sleeping on his chest. The Dane reached to pat her and saw his hand no longer bore wounds or bruises. In fact, he was no longer sore. The shimmering hair of his little sister on his chest. Her shimmering hair and skin seemed to glow. Her sweet face was so peaceful. The blond man carefully picked up the girl and looked at the time. He realized that it was early in the morning. It was another school day for the girl. The teen in his arms leaned against his shoulder, his stubble poked at her face, irritating her skin. She opened her eyes and looked around.
"Magnus?," (y/n) asked in a sleepy voice.
"Godmorgen.," the Dane greeted quietly, "You should get ready to go to school today."
The albino girl snuggled closer, "There's not going to be classes for my classes today, it's a field trip day."
"Field trip?," Magnus asked.
"Ja. We're going to museums and historical sites today.," the albino yawned, "And stay at a hotel overnight."
The Dane set her down and let her go take a shower. He walked to the kitchen and looked at the paper pinned to the fridge with a cute flower print magnet. The paper was a school newsletter confirming (y/n)'s words. There was a day trip to museums and a historical site. To Magnus's surprise, it was a few miles from his family home. From the palace they lived in. This had him hatch a small plan. The palace had much historical value and many artifacts. Artifacts from wars and civilizations past. The way they kept the home was the similar to a museum anyway. He could offer the children access to his home.

The sweet scent of soap met his nose. His little sister was finishing up her shower. A thought hit his mind. Where was Bernard? A scream from upstairs answered his question. He saw Bernard stumble down the stairs with a red hand mark on his cheek. Magnus gave the swede a sharp glare.
"What did you do?," the Dane inquired.
"I used her room to sleep in, she did not see me sleeping.," the swede replied and rubbed his reddened cheek.
The Dane pointed to the paper on the fridge as he picked up his phone, Bernard went to read the flyer as Magnus dialed his phone.
"Loki. I have an idea.," the Dane said.
"I'm listening, especially if it has to do with getting Kanin home.," Loki replied with a snicker.
The Dane explained his idea to Loki as the burned man listened. Loki happily agreed to Magnus's plan. He will call the others back to the palace and explain the plan to them. Bernard listened to the plan and agreed with a wide and toothy grin. The reddish brown haired swede left to follow the plan. The Dane got breakfast ready after reading that the lunch would be provided. He could not relax, however. He needed to get his sister ready for their trip. The smokey blue eyed man walked through the house to clean up a little. He heard the albino girl's footsteps coming down the stairs. He looked up to see her in a cute casual outfit. Boots with slight heels, leggings, a skirt that fell to mid thigh, a black top with a red sweater over top, and a jacket over that. Her purse and overnight bag was slung over her shoulder. Her parasol was strapped to the overnight bag.

Her eyes looked sleepy still and she covered her mouth to make a cute yawn. Magnus could not help but think of how she yawned like that when she was a baby. He pu his hand out and helped her down the stairs when she took it. The young woman took a cup of coffee and took a drink. Her phone rang and she picked it up.
"Godmorgen.," She said sleepily before waking up, "Oh, far."
Magnus pretended to not pay attention, but silently listened.
"Ja, I'm going on the trip. No you cannot stop me this time.," the albino said, "I'll be fine. I'll stay with the group."
Magnus could hear the voice of his father on the other side of the line. He made sure to not make any noise to alert his father.
"I promise I won't talk to strangers. I'll stay with my friends.," (y/n) told her father to keep him from worrying.
She stayed on the phone a little longer before hanging up. She put her phone away and cleaned her dishes up. Magnus took her hand and led her outside, where she saw Thurston standing. The military man was standing in casual clothes, looking just as handsome as he did in his military ones. Thurston held out his hand to her. The albino teen took the man's hand. His leather gloves were soft and made the young woman pleased to feel them. The strong and kind hands under the gloves held hers with great kindness. The brunet turned to walk with (y/n), only turning back to look at Magnus. The blond man gave Thurston a nod and locked the door with the keys he got from (y/n) before he caught up with the pair.

"Are you excited for today?," Thurston asked.
"Very much so.," (y/n) answered with a smile, "Far wouldn't let me go anywhere except school without him. This is a new experience."
Magnus listened to the happy chatter from the young woman. Her bright personality lit up the dark morning. The trio walked to the school together and found the bus waiting for the kids. It looked to be a tourist charter bus. A teacher stopped the two men who was with the girl before mistaking Magnus for Malthe. Magnus decided to play along, as much as it annoyed him. That teacher was not going to go on the trip anyways. The Dane was able to get Thurston a pass to go with (y/n) after telling the administrators that he was her hired bodyguard.
Thurston was allowed to stay with the albino teen from him being a hired man. The Finnish military man sat on the bus next to the albino girl, aware of the stares and looks they were getting from the other children. Magnus was allowed to stay up front with the teachers as a chaperone. The bus began to drive and they began the trip. The albino girl held her bodyguard's hand. She looked outside the window beside her seat, watching the landscape passing by. Thurston watched the albino's face. His observation was cut short by students in front of them looking back at him and asking questions.

Thurston was annoyed by the sudden invasion of his privacy, but knew he could not do anything about it. (Y/n) looked to her bodyguard and saw he was getting annoyed. She told her nosy classmates to leave her bodyguard alone. The teens sneered and turned back forward.
"I'm sorry, Thurston.," the albino girl apologized.
"It is not your fault.," Thurston replied.
He smiled slightly from feeling her hand touch his. He looked out of the window as well. The two were silent the ride, just watching the scenery. Until (y/n) noticed something in the distance. A large flying object. They way it moved made it look like it was alive. Her red-violet eyes looked to the object, only for Thurston to hold his hand over her eyes and pull her away from the window.
"Limit your sun exposure. We should switch our seats.," the brunet man said.
He and the albino swapped seats. The man saw what the girl was watching and silently cursed. He did not know what those idiots were thinking. Thurston would just have to keep (y/n) safe. The pale girl leaned onto her guard's shoulder as she decided to rest. Before long, they came to their destination. Magnus disembarked and waited for his little sister and the guard.

Magnus held the parasol up to make shade as (y/n) came out if the bus, assisted by Thurston. The young woman looked around with the two men with her. The museum in front of them was huge. They looked to the teachers as the adults announced that they needed to find a hotel to put their things away before the group could explore. This seemed to annoy Magnus.
"Magnus, is something wrong?," (y/n) asked.
"I don't like the hotels in this area.," the man replied and handed the young woman her parasol, "stay with Thurston. I'll take your things to a safe place."
The blond Dane took the girl's bag and walked away, leaving her with the group and her bodyguard. A teacher asked her what was wrong. She gave the answer that Magnus did not like the hotels and was going to find somewhere safe for them to stay. The man had disappeared into the streets before the teachers could talk to him.
Thurston spoke up, "He will be back."
(Y/n) looked around, this was a nice looking area. She was excited. She was in Scandinavia! This was a new experience. Her skin shimmered in the sunlight.
After deciding on a course of action, the group of students went to a place to stay before they went to a museum. The history and paintings were interesting.

The school group continued on their day, looking around and looking for their museums. Only, one of the museums was shut down. It apparently was damaged and needed renovations. This caused the teachers to be upset. This museum had important pieces that the group was supposed to be seeing.
The teacher gave the announcement to the group, "Unfortunately, it looks like we cannot finish our day trip. We may have to go home early."
"Not necessarily.," the voice of Magnus spoke up.
The group turned to the blond man.
"There's a palace nearby. It has many historical artifacts and was the home of a powerful person.," the Dane continued, "I offer that palace for you."
This made (y/n) to the man. She was interested in this palace. The teachers were interested as well. And asked Magnus to show them where the historical building was. The man nodded and told them to get their luggage, he would be taking them to a safe place to sleep in as well. The group got their luggage from the bus and followed the man. They wound through back roads and to a forested area with a field.

After walking through the forest, they found a magnificent palace, hidden from normal people and public knowledge. The palace had a large garden with fruiting trees, flowers and a gorgeous sitting area. There were some water fountains and a sweet scent on the breeze. The palace itself was a large and beautiful building. The architecture was so ancient, nobody could place exactly what time period it was from. Ornate carvings on the sides with facades to protect it from weather damage. Magnus walked forward silently motioning for the group to follow.
"Don't damage the flowers. It took a long time for these to look this good.," the blond Dane said to the group.
Thurston looked proud. He was a little puffed up. The Danish man walked to the door and opened it. The scent of the palace hit (y/n). She smelled it a long time ago. She had been there before. The teachers questioned the man if it was really okay to explore the place. Magnus waved his hand.
"It's perfectly fine. This is a family property.," the blond man replied, "Come, I'll give you the tour."
Thurston walked with (y/n) in the group. He never left her side. Through the rooms with the artifacts. Through the massive library that had several floors all filled with books. Through the hallways lined with paintings and windows that looked outside. It was a beautiful property. Magnus kept talking through all of it.

(Y/n) felt a tug on her hand and Thurston pulled her away from the group, "Follow."
The man took her through a doorway and walked to a connecting hall. The wood tiled floor below her creaked slightly. She looked at the beautiful walls and decor. She was led to a grand marble staircase. Up and up. The top of the stairs held a lovely painting of a woman who looked like (y/n), but had Platinum blond hair and violet eyes. The young albino looked at the woman.
"Mom?," the girl asked and looked to Thurston, "Is this place..?"
Thurston gave a nod and pulled the girl to a room with a crib in it. A large bed covered in pillows and luxurious sheets was the centerpiece of the room. A large hardwood vanity with a beautiful mirror sat near the bed, a wardrobe was set on the other side of the room. The room was beautiful in decoration and smelled good. The smell in that room was familiar. It was a scent she had not smelled in many years. The smell of a woman. (Y/n) walked to the crib and looked inside. This is what she saw in her dreams.
"This was where I used to sleep.," (y/n) said as Thurston watched her touch the soft mattress in the crib.
The scarlet eyes of her bodyguard lit up as he knew she was realizing where she was. He stood beside her, taking her hand. Thurston was slow and gentle with his movements.

"Welcome home.," The Finnish man smiled.
The bodyguard took her hand and began to show her the rooms in the palace meant for the inhabitants. Magnus's room was large and clean. Everything was neatly put away. His closet was organized in a way to easily find whatever was needed. The desk was filled with papers, writing utensils, and a single picture of (y/n)'s mother with Magnus beside her.
Loki's room was also large, but it was also very unique in the fact it had decorations relating to dragons and magic in it. There was a blue flame in a lantern on the desk. The closet had mostly blue clothes in it, with some black or a few red items. In the corner however, were wild clothing. Black metal band shirts, viking outfits and what looked to be a roll of scaly material.
Bernard's room was a little messy, but it had some organization. The bed seemed large and comfy. The bookshelf seemed to be loaded with colorful books of many varieties. The closet was packed with a number of clothes in different styles, as if the man could not stick to a style he was most fond of.
Egil's room was the most opulent. He seemed to have the most luxurious items decorating his room. The bed had sheets that were way above (y/n)'s living expenses, the pillows were very soft and comfortable, a sweet scent hung in the air. The scent seemed to be coming from the desk that held dried plants and some tools that had a powder lightly dusted on them.
Thurston finally showed her to his room, it was simple yet elegant. He had display cases for his weapons. His closet was neatly organized. His bed looked to be comfortable. His desk was set up with repair tools and metalworking equipment.
The Finnish man watched as (y/n) explored the rooms. She was so cute with her curiosity. But, he knew he needed to get her back to the group.

The two walked to find the group and found them in the ballroom.
"Where did you two go?," Magnus asked.
Thurston did not flinch under the sharp gaze of the blond dane, "Showing her our rooms."
This answer sent some of the students and teachers into a small shock.
"You live here?," One of the teachers asked with surprise.
"Ja, this has been our family home for a long time.," Magnus stated plainly, "Come. I have more to show you."
"We should be going, or we'll miss dinner.," the lead teacher of the group said.
"If you leave, you'll miss dinner.," A bright voice chimed as the group turned to see a burned man walking up, "He called ahead to tell us we had guests. It'd be rude to put all my hard work to waste."
(Y/n) recognized the fiery hair and burned face, "Loki!"
The burned man grinned, "Hej Kanin."
The teachers were a bit confused before Magnus explained that he was opening his home to be a place to stay for them. They had dinner and facilities ready for their guests now as well. The group seemed to become very excited. Loki seemed pleased with himself, he must have been working hard with cooking to make a good dinner.
"If our guests would follow me, I'll take them to their rooms.," Another voice called out.

The platinum haired small man who appeared out of nowhere bowed, "I am Egil, Loki's younger brother. Please follow me~"
His sweet and charming demenor seemed to make him an instant favorite with the young ladies of the group. He led the group to another part of the house, past a gallery of windows that looked out to the expansive gardens. The albino icelander answered questions about the home and family that lived there. Before a single question was raised.
"I heard you call (y/n) 'litla systir' at lunch last week, does that mean you two are related?," It was one of the nosy girl classmates.
Egil only made a smile and put a black satin gloved finger to his lips. He was refusing to answer the question. He went back to leading the group and finally stopped before a line of doors.
"Welcome to the old workers quarters. We kept them up and renovated them for guests and family members.," the charming icelander said, "I'll have to split up your group a bit to fit all of you into the rooms."
The young man separated the group into different rooms and let the children choose what beds they wanted to use. The rooms were comfortable with multiple beds and a few bunk beds in them. Vanities and windows that overlooked the garden also was present. (Y/n) was about to go choose a bed when her arm was taken by a gloved hand, she looked back to a smiling Egil. His single visible violet-red eye glimmered.
"We have a special room meant for you.," the young man whispered to the girl, "It's with our rooms."

After everyone was settled in, Egil took them to the dining room beside the ballroom. The dining room was as beautiful as the ballroom. The tall ceiling had carvings and painted frescos on the ceiling, chandeliers gave off light in a beautiful manner. The table was set with dishware and silverware that looked to have been made for royalty. Magnus stood at the head of the table, he looked regal in his changed outfit of more formal wear. He looked like he was a king. The group was allowed to choose where they wanted to sit, except for (y/n), who was seated at the guest of honor's placement. It was an experience that felt like it would have been from a dream or fairytale. Sounds of unseen instruments played as dinner was served to the guests.
The teachers had to admit this was much better than any plans they had before. Dinner was delicious. Loki was proud of how good it turned out and how much the guests enjoyed it. (Y/n) noticed that there was someone missing from the table. A big and Sharp toothed someone. She looked around for him. This caught the notice of a few others.
"Is something wrong?," Thurston asked.
"Bernard is missing.," the albino girl answered, "Where is he?"
"He's making his own dinner.," Loki explained, "Bernard has a unique digestive system that needs particular food. He can't eat normal foods like this, so he makes his own."
The albino girl nodded and looked around at her surroundings more. It felt like home, yet something was off. There was some sort of odd energy, like there was someone else there. Egil and Thurston noticed her looking around and Egil poured her a drink.

She gratefully took the drink and sipped on it while she ate and talked with the others. This was fun. This was what she had been missing! This is what she remembered! After dinner, the guests were taken to the ballroom to dance and play before they went back to their rooms to get ready for bed. (Y/n) was escorted by Magnus away from the group. As she walked with the blond dane, she looked outside and saw Thurston in the garden. The brunet man was looking at the moon. She stopped, causing Magnus to stop as well.
"Is he okay? He has been rather quiet this whole time back, even more so than usual.," the albino asked the blond man.
Magnus looked out to the Finn, "He's contemplating life. More than likely rembering Mor."
"You are my older brother, right?," (y/n) asked, "Not just someone Mor hired."
The smokey blue eyes of the man looked down to the pale girl beside him, her eyes still fixated on Thurston. He knew that the secret could not be kept long.
"I am. Our family is not a normal one.," the Dane answered, "We still care for you as the chosen heiress."
The albino girl nodded, understanding her older brother's words. She felt a warmth in her heart while talking to her older brother, while looking at her bodyguard. She felt a greater warmth in her stomach that radiated to the rest of her body. (Y/n) felt at ease and sleepy. The silvery white haired teen stumbled a little, her movements prompting Thurston and Magnus to come to her aid.

Thurston picked her up, carrying her to the upper quarters to help her get ready for bed. He was so focused on the past, that he did not take notice of the present. He had what he wanted in his arms, but did not have the voice to talk to her. To tell her what he wanted or how he felt. He wanted to let her know what her mother wanted. But, now he had to wait until morning. She dozed in his hold as he helped her get ready for bed. The teen did not notice the kiss that Thurston placed on her forehead as he helped her. He took her to a room that had been furnished for her after Egil met her and placed her in the plush bed. Her hair glowed with a beautiful and ethereal light.
He smiled to himself, she was home now. He gave her one last kiss before he walked to his own room. Thurston had nothing to worry about now that (y/n) was in her rightful home. She was safe there, with them. He did not hear that someone was sneaking around as he went to bed.
One of the classmates was curious about this place and had began to walk around in the middle of the night. The only light leading her was the faint glow of the crystal lights on the walls. The girl climbed the staircase to the private quarters of the owners of this building. She saw the grand painting of Brunhilda. The girl quietly snapped a picture of it and the inscription on the frame, telling about the subject of the painting. The classmate carried on with exploration. The girl stopped in front of a door with faint light coming from it. Slowly, she opened the door and found her albino classmate. The albino's hair was glowing faintly.

The classmate felt a presence behind her and turned to see a large man standing behind her. A man she had not seen before. The other four men were nowhere to he found. The tall man leaned down with a mouth full of sharp teeth on display. His red eyes looked hypnotic.
"Are you lost?," his deep voice asked, intimidating the classmate.
"Who a-are you?," the girl asked.
"Bernard. The second eldest son of lady Brunhilda.," the swede responded, "I was a little busy with my own dinner to come to yours. I had an unruly dinner guest."
His smile was creepy to the girl, causing her to stumble back and run to her guest room. This disappointed the tall man as he wiped drool from the corner of his mouth, he wanted to play a little more. He closed the door to the Albino's room and walked to his own, humming an ancient lullaby his mother taught him.
