Special: What if Magnus met her first? (part eight) end

(y/n) woke in a very comfortable room. The mattress and pillows felt unlike anything she ever had before. So soft and light, it was hard to describe exactly what made it feel so special. The luxury of the sheets she slept on was incredible as well. A high thread count that gave it a smooth and silky feel, and did not leave wrinkle marks on her skin. The sheets smelled so good as well. The albino did not want to get up, but got up anyway. She looked for her bag Tha had her clothes, but did not find it. She looked in the closet and found it had some outfits in her size. The teen wondered how those outfits got there. Did her older brothers go buy some clothes for her to keep in the family home if she wanted to stay over?
She put on one of the beautiful dresses and the accompanying shawl that went with it. She found shoes that matched it and some socks. After dressing, she brushed out her hair and left the room. Her footsteps tapped on the ground. She saw from the first floor windows that it was still dark. (Y/n) descended the stairs and walked to the front door. She reached out and felt a buzzing energy. It felt like she could not go past the door. A sound made her look up, a large skeleton was hung above her. It looked like a dinosaur, except it had a sixth pair of limbs. She wondered what kind of joke that was. The sound echoed again, making her follow it. The noise sounded long and drawn out, raising and lowering in pitch, as if it was a song. Her shoes tapped on the floor. She followed the sound down a log corridor, ending in a dead end. In the floor was a sloping chasm. Warm air was seeping from the chasm.

The sound was louder now. The song seemed to become more and more beautiful as she listened. (Y/n)'s long and shimmering hair blew in the warm wind coming from the chasm. The smell of warm wood and incense blew with it. The song was familiar. She heard it before. The albino began to sing with the strange sound, the longer and drawn out song stopped as she sang with it. The chasm lit up with an eerie light, a burst of hot air escaped from the hole. The sudden hot wind smelled like seasoned and cooking meat, mixed with ocean air. She put her arms up to protect her face. She peeked down into the chasm, seeing a set of stairs on the side and large claw marks on the side of the chasm. It was a den for a massive creature. The sound howled out again, this time the song was more directed to the opening. The red-violet eyed girl answered with the rest of the song. A Rumble made her move her arms, she felt a warm breeze on her with a low huff.
Her eyes widened when she was face to face with a great beast. It was carnivorous from it's teeth. The rusty orange red hide sparkled with polished scales. Great bloodstained horns protruded from the head that was covered in scars. A horn on the nose looked clean. Peridot eyes gazed at the albino as the beast huffed a blast of warm air at her from its nostrils. The jaws opened and the girl ran back. The beast howled the song again. The albino teen stopped at a safe distance and replied to the song with her chorus of it. The beast's eyes lit up, it's face and eyebrow ridges moved to make it more expressive. It looked like it was friendly as it sniffed (y/n)'s previous position. The beast climbed more out of the hole and reached a clawed hand like paw out, wrapping behind (y/n) and bringing her towards him. She could tell it was a male.

The beast's head lay on the ground and it sniffed and looked at her cautiously. The teen swallowed a lump in her throat before reaching out to touch the creature. Its scales were warm. The massive animal closed its eyes and felt the touch of the girl. She noticed that there were wounds on the massive creature that were closing visibly. She was feeling a bit drained. The large clawed hand behind her was moved and (y/n) fell back. She fell into warm arms, her eyes looked up to see Loki standing behind her. He was looking down at her with his dark amethyst eyes.
"You're up early.," Loki mused as he smiled warmly down to his younger sister, "I hope you liked meeting Drage."
"Drage?," (y/n) asked, echoing Loki's word.
The burned man helped her to stand then brought her before the large scaled beast. The green eyes looked down upon her, never leaving her body. The fiery haired man touched the scaly hide before him, also making the teen touch the animal.
"This is Drage, he is a Bull dragon. He has been my friend and companion for many years, ever since we both were kids.," Loki explained and rubbed the scales under his hand, "Did you enjoy meeting her, Drage? This is (y/n). She is visiting with human schoolmates."
(Y/n)'s eyes were on the massive dragon before her, the wounds of wich were healing before her eyes. She was feeling more and more tired, the shimmer of her skin faded and the glow of her hair lessened until it stopped. She could hardly stand and fell forward, onto Drage's large body. Loki stepped forward and stood behind (y/n), placing both of her hands on the grand dragon. She was having trouble keeping her eyes open from this sudden exhaustion.
"We're happy that you are helping us, Kanin. Drage was feeling bad before he met you.," the burned man said with a smile.

Loki picked the young woman up and held her in one arm, while patting Drage with the other.
"Go back to sleep, buddy.," the burned man said before he heard the beast grumble back, "Having trouble sleeping? So you stayed up to sing."
(Y/n) listened to her elder brother speak as she leaned on him. The burned man led the dragon back to the den and told the beast to get some rest. Loki carried the girl with him as he walked. He was not taking her back to her room, but to a room she has not seen yet on the ground floor. The albino teen wondered what Loki was up to.
"I'm happy to finally have you home, Malthe has kept you from us for a long time.," The burned man hummed.
The dark eyed man rubbed his burned hand over (y/n)'s smooth skin. The room he took her to looked to be a throne room. The glass windows around the room let in the beautiful sight of the outside and the glow of the lovely moon. The room itself was decorated with curtains, ornate artifacts and a throne in the middle. The throne had meticulously carved wood, overlayed with gold and other precious metals, the seat and cushions on it seemed to be made of a silk fabric. Loki placed (y/n) on the throne and pulled the curtains back to let the light of the moon hit her.
"Mor loved the light of the moon in this room, she made it to be the throne for meeting guests and accepting tributes.," Loki said looking through the many artifacts, "She would have loved to see you where she once was, but she died before you turned one."
Loki came back and placed a small circlet onto the young woman's head, pushing down her spiked up hair.
"Now you look like a real prinsesse.," Loki smiled warmly.
He was warm in the cool air of the dark morning. The blue washed night fled from the orange and yellow as day broke. Loki's eyes looked to the horizon, as if he was looking for a long lost friend. The morning light washed over the man's scars, a slight pattern that looked like Drage's scales emerged as the light poured over the fiery haired man.

(Y/n) saw what looked like flames pour from her older brother's lips. She wondered if it was a hallucination, or was he really breathing fire? The silvery-white haired young woman heard the sound of footsteps as Bernard emerged from the dark hallway. His sharp toothed smile was wide.
"Loki, you're up early.," the swede greeted, "So are you, (y/n)."
"I heard Drage singing loudly and went to see what had him making so much noise so early in the morning, turns out Kanin and he were having a duet.," the Burned man grinned.
"Ah~ I wish I was up to hear that.," Bernard laughed and knelt by the seated young woman, "Lillasyster, would you sing for me when you feel better?"
(Y/n) looked over to the man as he took her hand, her silvery-white head nodded in response. The swede kissed her hand. He lingered on her hand, as if savoring the feeling. Loki yawned and walked away.
"Look after her for me, Ber, I'm going back to sleep.," the burned man said, "I know you're usually up around this time."
Bernard waved back and kept kissing the albino girl's hand, she felt saliva on her skin. He only stopped kissing to rub his cheek against her arm. The reddish-brown haired swede seemed to like being in physical contact with her. The albino girl felt tired but pulled her hand away from him, causing him to look up at her with questioning eyes. Those hypnotic eyes looked almost cute with how he looked at her. (Y/n) placed her hand on his fluffy hair.

Bernard enjoyed her rubbing his head for a bit before pulling her hand back down to his cheek. He stopped to sniff the air and stood behind (y/n), as if standing guard beside the throne. Thurston had come through the door, he looked upset. More upset than usual. The brunet was about to scold Bernard, but stopped at seeing (y/n). He immediately got quiet and walked in front of the albino teen. He knelt before the girl on the throne, his head down and his right arm over his heart.
"Good morning, (y/n). I hope you slept well last night.," the scarlet eyed man said, "The guests are beginning to awake."
The albino girl nodded. She did not have much energy for some reason. Her red-violet eyes looked down to Thurston. His head was still down. Like he was waiting for an order. The young woman reached out with a weakened arm and touched the brunet hair of the military man before her. She felt him flinch before relaxing.
"Good morning, Thurston.," (y/n) greeted kindly, "I did sleep well, but how did you sleep?"
Thurston stayed still as the albino patted him. His hair was pretty soft. The Finnish man came closer and let the girl rub his scalp more. He seemed a bit upset at the hand being removed from his hair. (Y/n) tried to stand, before she stumbled forward. Thurston quickly caught her and stood her up, using himself as a support. They heard Bernard chuckle as he lay his head in his palm, he had a wide grin on his face.
"Why aren't you two precious together?," the swede grinned, "You two make a good couple."

(Y/n) felt her cheeks warm up in utter surprise of the words spoken by her brother. The swede stood from his leaning position on the throne. He walked over and stood the two up. His smile was genuine, yet his eyes held mischief. The swede walked away after Thurston snapped at him to not have any ideas. Bernard did not seem to be upset by the anger of Thurston. The Finn huffed and held onto the young woman he was tasked with guarding. He felt her slump a little more.
"What happened? You're usually more energetic.," the man asked.
(Y/n) breathed a little hard, "I felt tired ever since Loki had me touch Drage."
"The dragon? I thought the big lizard was recovering from injuries.," Thurston asked, "Did something happen?"
"His wounds closed before my eyes when I touched him, then I felt tired.," the albino girl replied.
The scarlet eyed man nodded. He picked up the albino and carried her like a princess. He walked out of the throne room with her in his arms. The two moved through the home. A loud commotion was made as the two walked into the main hall. The school tour group saw Thurston carrying their schoolmate. The fact she had a high end dress and a circlet on made it even better for them. The girls pulled their phones out and took pictures of the albino and the brunet.
Clapping of hands made the group look to Egil, "That's enough. I don't think Litla systir or Thurston gave permission to be photographed."
The Icelandic albino young man had a friendly smile on. On his shoulder was an adorable puffin with a top hat and a monocle. Magnus descended the stairs. The attention was set on the blond Dane as he was dressed in a magnificent coat and fine clothes. (Y/n) noticed that most of her family was dressed in better clothes than usual. She wondered if it was to impress the guests or for a significant event.

Magnus finally hit the final step and stood before the group. He appeared to be a king with how beautifully he was dressed. His smokey blue eyes held an air of majesty.
"Your bus will be here soon to return you to the school. We hope you had a pleasant stay in our home.," the Dane said.
The teachers thanked Magnus for his hospitality. Thurston set (y/n) down and stood beside her, not letting go of her arm. The girl watched as her schoolmates left. She was not let onto the bus. Her eyes looked to her elder brother for answers.
"We will return you to your home later.," Magnus explained, "But now, I wish to ask you questions."
"Sure, go ahead.," (y/n) smiled with no fear towards the man.
Magnus motioned her to follow. She and Thurston both followed to Magnus's office that was beside the ballroom. The kingly man sat in his throne like chair, sat behind his magnificent desk. The albino girl and the brunet man sat on chairs on the other side of the desk. Thurston threw quick looks at the albino girl, he looked away everytime she looked to him. He had a strange expression on his face and pinkend cheeks. Magnus watched this little interaction between the two before speaking.
"Loki and I have spoken and reviewed Mor's will, we have decided to give you the option to stay here or stay with Far.," the man said, "You will have tutors to teach you and access to everything from Mor's estate if you choose to stay here or come live with us later."
"What about far? Is he not able to come?," (y/n) asked.
Magnus's eyes for a second held rage and pain in them. He massive man took a breath and let it out, he leaned back into his chair.

"Far does not want to come back. After Mor died, he has no more connection to this palace. He is free to live outside in his own life.," Magnus answered.
Something about his tone felt off, like there was something being withheld. Plus something felt off about Magnus's statement. He claimed Malthe as his own father, while both looked to be the same age. (Y/n) knew she and her family aged gracefully, but this was a little too illogical. Perhaps she could learn more about that in conversation. Thurston's gaze was locked on her as she talked to her older brother. (Y/n) could feel his scarlet eyes looking at her, the predatory burning gaze scanning over her.
"Could you let me think about it a bit more? I am a little overwhelmed by everything here.," the albino young woman smiled with her red-violet eyes sparkling.
Thurston kept watching her, burning gaze locked on her. The silvery-white haired girl finally looked at him and met his gaze. His scarlet eyes were not as hard or angry as before. He looked happy. He had been watching her more and more lately.
"You have until this evening. We received word that Far is coming home a little early.," Magnus spoke, "You may enjoy your stay until then. Go on and spend time with our brothers."
(Y/n) nodded to her eldest brother and stood, leaving him to his paperwork he began to pay attention to. She walked weakly with Thurston following her. The Finnish man sped up and took her hand to keep her steady.
"Thurston, why are you staring?," the girl asked.
"I'm sorry. You are so beautiful, like your mother.," the man replied, "I feel happy to be able to stay by your side and protect you. I only want to protect what Brunhilda loves."

The brunet man helped to walk (y/n) to a sitting room that overlooked the garden. In the garden's flat grassy area, lay Drage. The massive dragon was enjoying the sunshine and the scrubbing from the brush Loki was running over his body.
"Drage is getting spoiled today. I guess he deserves it after surviving that attack.," Thurston mused.
The albino girl looked at the dragon, contentedly laying in the garden. The beast had a pleased look on his scaly face.
"How can Loki and Drage have been together since they were small?," she asked, "How can Magnus be Far's son when they look the same age?"
"Malthe kept a lot from you, but we are immortal. Your mother was a goddess, who died after giving birth to you.," Thurston replied, "You are the new goddess, and we are to protect you from those who want to use you for their own gain."
"Goddess?," the albino asked.
Thurston only nodded. He clutched something in his pocket. The man knew it was not the right time for it yet, but he wanted to at least have the chance while she was there. The Albino girl looked to him after seeing his face change from his kind expression towards her to something more serious one.
He presented a ring to her, a beautiful ornate ring. He took a knee.
"Please, let me have to honor of being with you for the rest of our existence. I will protect you and give you myself to you.," Thurston professed, "I beg of you. Please, I promised your mother I would."
Thurston looked to be in a mix of emotions. His eyes held a storm of joy, pleading, and more. His cheeks held a blush whose color could rival those of the blooms in the garden. A breeze blew in from the garden, bringing with it floating petals and the sweet scent of florals. The breeze blew the shining hair of the albino girl and her dress. Her eyes looked like jewels in the morning light. Her skin shimmered as the gentle light hit her. She seemed to glow like the soft light of the moon.

The Finnish man's eyes held a new emotion, adoration.
"Thurston?," (y/n)'s soft and clear voice brought new color to his face, "What is this?"
His words sounded like they were pledging either his loyalty as a knight to her, or a proposal for marriage. The brunet man took her hand.
"Me keeping my promise.," Thurston answered, "Your mother made me promise to protect you and be there for you. We are bound by covenant and her power. The changes to yourself started after we first had contact."
The albino thought back. The physical changes she undergone did occur after she came into contact with Thurston. Her skin and hair began to shine and she had more energy than before. She felt stronger. This was from her mother's power? The magic of a goddess? As she was lost in thought, Thurston slipped the ring on her finger. The man stood and held the smaller and soft hands of the young woman before him. Her pale cheeks were dusted with a light blush and her lips had a pink tint to them. He wanted so much, but he had to wait a little longer. The pale young woman snapped out of her thoughts and saw Thurston standing, holding both of her hands in his.
"You don't have to worry. I will make sure that you are happy and safe.," the man said.
The pale young woman knew he meant it and gave a small nod. Thurston leaned forward and left a small kiss on her cheek as he let go of her hands. He walked away, assured of her safety in the palace.

(Y/n) placed her hand on her cheek and looked at where Thurston was. She sat down in one of the chairs and looked outside, watching Loki and Drage. The dragon seemed to be more playful and was teasing Loki. The burned man teased the dragon right back and climbed onto the scaly beast. The grand bull dragon rose into the air with his wing beats. It was so beautiful to see the dragon fly. A weight next to (y/n) made her look over. It was Bernard. His strange eyes looked down at her with glee.
"Hej.," he greeted, "Are you thinking over Magnus's offer?"
"Ja.," the girl replied and was pulled closer to her older brother, basically on his lap.
He rested his chin on her shoulder and hugged her close. Both stayed quiet as they looked outside. Watching the garden. The girl felt a wetness on her exposed neck then a slight pokiness. The poking became a little more prominent as it hardened then lightened. It felt like sharp points pressing into her skin, only not trying to break the skin. (Y/n) raised her hand and felt where the pressure was coming from, only to find Bernard's head. She pushed on the man's head, effectively pushing him away from her skin. This made the reddish brown haired man huff and squeeze her tighter. He smelled like his own unique scent and the scent of roasted meat. She felt the place on her neck with her other hand and found some marks. Bite marks.
"Why. Why did you do that?," (y/n) asked as Bernard pushed back against her hand with his head.
The swede placed his lips back onto the lightly bitten skin, "I can't help it. Bad habit."
"I don't appreciate being used as a chew toy.," the pale girl said and pushed him again.
The red eyed man left a light kiss as an apology and kept his jaws off of her. Both watched the outside world.

"How does the garden stay warm for the flowers to bloom, even in the cold of winter?," the soft voice of the albino girl asked.
"Magic~," came the voice of Egil.
The albino icelander grinned and sat next to the two. His face was kind.
"Mamma wanted the garden to stay beautiful all year, so the made the continuous spell to keep it beautiful.," the violet red eyed young man replied, "Big brother and I have magic, so do you. Bernard has psudeo magic in his eyes and voice, but that doesn't count."
"It does! Mor said that even slight magic is magic.," Bernard argued back.
The two began to squabble in front of their younger sister, who was still processing everything. She was thinking over everything they said, everything Magnus said, everything Thurston said before. Her red-violet eyes looked down at the ring that was on her finger. She figured Thurston slipped it on quickly. She thought through everything. About all kinds of things for the future. She felt a cold hand against her neck and looked over to Egil placing his hand on her bite mark. He moved his hand to the base of her skull. It felt good. She thought a little more and made her decision.
(Y/n) got up and walked to her eldest brother's office, "I made my decision!"

~~~~~~
Loki picked up his cell phone. Magnus was on the other side. The blond Dane told Loki the final decision of their little sister. A smile creeped onto the burned man's face as he told Drage to alter his course. The fiery haired man told his brother thank you and hung up the phone. The dragon flew over the terrain before coming to a familiar city. Drage's eyes scanned over the sights and sniffed the air. Loki knew he wanted to roar and claim the land as part of his and his friends' territory. The burned man patted his scaly friend to get his attention.
"This territory belongs to someone else. But we have someone to see.," Loki said to the massive beast.
Following Loki's instructions, Drage flew to a house on the edge of the city. His large wings kicked up a flurry of snow and ice. With permission, Drage roared to announce his presence to those in the house. The peridot green eyed dragon set down in the snow and lay to let his rider off. Loki gingerly landed in the snow and made a relaxed smile to the house. Out of the front door came Malthe. The mere face of the man made Loki angry, but he brushed it aside. He knew that Malthe was not the only one there.
"Loki, I knew that you'd come one day.," the blond man hissed, "She's not here."
"Oh please. I know that.," Loki replied, "I'm not here to fight, stepfather. I just wish to extend an invitation to you."
The blond man was a bit incredulous about what Loki was saying. He knew what Loki was like. The fiery haired man leaned on his dragon with a smug posture.
"What is this invitation?," Malthe asked.
"You can come back to the palace, retain your old duties. We might be inclined to bring in a few more servants as well.," Loki chimed, "You won't be killed, just severely monitored."
"I refuse. And you will never get (y/n).," the turquoise eyed man replied.
Loki's kind smile morphed into one that was more malicious. One Malthe knew too well. The burned man stood up and laughed maniacally. The dragon stood as the others in the house made their presence known. People that Malthe must have called for emergency assistance. Perhaps to take his daughter away from there in a hurry when she returned home from school.
"Do you know why I know she is not here?," Loki asked and place a burned hand before his grinning lips, "It's not because it's the middle of a school day, oh no."
The burned man stalked closer to his stepfather, leaning in to give him the chilling message that made all of Malthe's fears come true.
"It's because she is safe and sound in the palace. The little goddess is finally home."
