Seventy-four: For the Future.
(Y/n) opened some portals to peer into to check for the children. She had to close a few since her brothers were in those rooms. The only child she saw at the house was Aske. The ember haired boy looked healthy and happy as he played with Drage's shed scales.
The woman moved the portal down a little ways and waved a the little boy, Aske stood up and reached through the portal to hug her. The albino woman opened the portal to be larger and pulled the boy through to hug him.
"Lady (Y/n)! I missed you.," the boy said happily.
"I missed you too Aske.," the young woman replied and held the child, "Are you okay? You had a bad illness when I last checked on you."
"I'm okay now!," the little boy said and grinned, "You healed me."
The albino heard the footsteps of her father coming, Aske turned his head to see the blond man.
"Grandpa!," the little boy exclaimed.
"Hello Aske.," the man said and kneeled down for the boy to run over and hug him, "You've grown since last year."
The little boy was happy to talk about his time with the man he called a grandfather. Malthe sat next to his daughter as his grandson told him about what they did for class and his year.
(Y/n) went back to checking for the other children. She found the two females in a clothing store and got their attention before telling them to go to a certain park where she would bring them to her to talk. She found the two boys in a store buying some first aid kits for Craig since he seemed to be going through some tough symptoms.
She told them to go to the same park and that she would get them.
The children agreed and bought their items.
(Y/n) closed the portals and waited for them to get to the park, "honestly, this was not a good day to let them leave the house, all schools are out for an international holiday."
Malthe chuckled, "I never said that your brothers followed the world's logic."
"Grandpa Malthe, Why does papa have so many scars?," Aske asked with big amber eyes. The blond Scandinavian smiled to his adoptive grandson, "Because he likes to play with fire."
"But we're not supposed to play with fire.," the little boy said.
"Exactly, but Loki did and now he has scars all over him.," Malthe replied, "He never listened to me or Eiden."
(Y/n) smiled, "I don't think you ever told me about Eiden or Kell."
"In time. I will.," Malthe said and placed the boy down as he heard the scampering of paws, "Aske, someone is coming to see you."
The little boy got scared until he saw a little white dog running up to him with her tongue hanging out of her mouth, the puppy jumped up and put her front paws on him while wagging her little tail. Small squeaking barks came out of the dog's muzzle.
"It's a puppy!," the little boy squealed as Hana bounced excitedly for a new friend. Aske and Hana began to play as Malthe watched. Soon Pelutze trotted in and Aske got to hug an even bigger fluffy dog. The little boy looked so happy to be playing with both dogs, he looked up when he heard another set of footsteps and saw the man from over a year ago looking down at him. The man had a friendly and warm smile.
"Hello, you are Aske, correct?," the man asked the little boy and the child nodded, "My name is Luxembourg, you may call me Noah."
"Noah?," the little boy asked and petted the dogs.
Luxembourg nodded, "yes. That's my human name." The little boy looked up at the country then to the albino woman.
"Lady (y/n), why are you here and not at home?," the boy asked, "Mister Thurston misses you."
"I don't really want to be with my brothers or Thurston, I love Noah.," the woman explained, "He is who I want to marry."
Aske looked confused and hugged Pelutze, "You don't want to marry Mister Thurston?"
(Y/n) shook her head, "No, I do not love him like I love Luxembourg."
Aske looked like he was about to cry. He equated her not wanting to live at the castle manor with him and the others to her not loving him. The tears formed in his eyes. "B-But you said you loved us, Lady (y/n).," the little boy cried, "Do you not love us?"
(Y/n) looked away from her portals and to the crying child, "Aske, I never said I did not love you or the others." She sat on her knees and hugged the child to her. The little boy hugged her neck and some tears fell from his eyes while the albino picked him up.
"I do love you.," the woman said and patted the soft warm hair, "I love you since we met."
The little boy held tight to the albino female, "I wish you were my mama! You love me, like papa Loki loves me."
The silvery-white haired Scandinavian woman's stomach did a flip, just the mention of her brother made her stomach feel weird.
She looked to an open portal and saw the other kids grouped up in the park.
Aske still clung to her like a baby monkey, she knew she had to take those kids home. The albino smiled at her father and fiancé, "I will be back after this."
(Y/n) stepped through the portal and into the park to the children, she was glad she had quickly changed her dress before she got Aske and the others. She did not want to scare the children.
"Hej, everyone.," she greeted with the small boy still clinging to her and asking her to be his mom. The other children looked over to her. Craig was by her immediately, begging for some relief from the severe withdrawal he had before. She was happy to give him the freedom from his pain.
Markus shook his head and put the medical kit he bought back into his bag, the blond teen looked up to the woman then behind her.
"Who the hell is that?," he asked and pointed behind (y/n).
The albino turned and saw Luxembourg, "This is my fiancé, Luxembourg."
"Why the hell are you marrying him? Thurston can protect you better than he can.," Terri piped up, "This guy is scrawny."
"You're no better Terri.," Jess said and got a punch in the gut.
"I th-think it is-is up t-to her who sh-she wants to marry.," Craig stuttered with a painful smile, "B-But it would b-be n-nice if you di-did stay with us."
"You know how Magnus and the others will feel about this.," Markus said, "But it is you who makes the decisions as you are the Goddess."
Markus made a small smile when he said goddess, showing that he respected her wants. Aske continued to cry and beg for her to be his mother. Jess sighed, "Aske. She can't be your mother if your father is her brother."
Aske stopped begging but made an angry face at Jess. She shook her head, her dark brunet hair that looked almost black shook with her, "If your are going to let us go home, you might as well do it."
Luxembourg listened to the children talk then stopped the kids, "May I at least know your names first?"
Markus stood front and pointed to all from oldest to youngest, "I'm Markus, that's Jess, that's craig, her name is Terri and you Already know Aske."
"How old are all of you?," the brunet asked.
"16.," Markus replied.
Jess put her hands in her hoodie pockets, "fifteen."
"13.," craig said and twitched.
"12.," Terri answered and crossed her arms.
"Aske is five.," (y/n) said and motioned Luxembourg to go back through the portal, "Go. I have to close this one."
The blue-green eyed male nodded and walked back through the portal, (y/n) closed it and opened one to the manor her brothers lived in. To the garden.
She stepped through with the children and put Aske down, "Aske. You're home."
She kissed the head of the boy softly Aske looked up and cried again, he still did not want her to leave.
Something felt off. The air was surprisingly empty. She could not feel the aura of her brothers or Thurston anywhere in the house. Even Drage's life aura was missing.
She began to wonder if it was not a mistake that Loki let the children out when it was not a school day to make chaos as a distraction for what was really going to happen. She heard a flutter of wings and looked up to see Sir puffin flying overhead, his beady eyes locked right onto her. Egil was using him to spy on the house and her no doubt.
"Did they say that they had any plans today?," (y/n) asked the children and some shook their heads. Markus nodded.
"Magnus said that he and the others had a bit of business to attend in Luxembourg.," the teen male said, "they should not be long, Why?"
"I'm afraid I was the business they needed to attend to.," the female said and saw the sun in the distance set, "It seems they took every weapon at their disposal, just to kill the one I love and my father who kept me from them for seventeen years."
The albino gave Aske to Markus and pointed at the blond teen, "Watch over your family, I have something I need to do!"
She jumped through the shining portal as Aske cried for her to come back. It closed behind her.
She opened another to Luxembourg's manor, she jumped through and ran through the halls to find her fiancé and father. She found them and felt the distant energy of her brothers and the Dragon approaching.
"Far, luxxie, we have to go now!," the woman said and opened a portal to the Nordic house.
Luxembourg stood up as she did. He saw her push her father and the dogs through then he grabbed her hand, "What is the matter? Why are you rushing?"
"Please! We have to go now!," she pleaded and looked behind her to see her portal closed, "My brothers are coming!"
Luxembourg nodded and followed his fiancee through he halls. He felt her skin shiver, she no doubt felt everything that was coming through her magic.
They ran together and he saw red eyes flash in the corner of his. He wanted to slow down but knew he should not. They both were in incredible danger at this time.
"I'm going to open a portal, I don't know where it will lead but I can only hope it will be to safety!," (y/n) said with tears of fear in her eyes. She was afraid for her life and for her fiancé. Luxembourg leaned forward and kissed her, "No matter what. I love you."
Her violet-red eyes widened at his sudden display of affection. Her heart was pumping with both fear and love at that point.
"I-I I love you too.," the female said and got kissed by him again.
They could not do this forever but they wished they could, the love and need for each other burned so brightly and passionately.
The albino female had to open the portal she tore herself away from her beloved's embrace to make the portal, a bright flash and the portal opened in front of her.
They did not have long as the wings of the enormous dragon could be heard before an ear splitting roar echoed through the house and hallways.
(Y/n) held Luxembourg's hand tight and felt her body drain of power as a hot flash of and explosion blew over them and blew them away.
