Chapter twenty seven: the vampire's home

Malthe paced the floor, he was worried about his daughter.
He worried so much for her.
He did not have as much time as she did as his mortality was realized, he may not live to see her get married.
He may not live longer enough to see her again period.
The man paced more and sat down on the couch when he was too tired to pace anymore.
Finland walked in and saw his stress, "Malthe. Did you sleep at all last night?"
"No.", The man answered.
"Malthe. Go to bed.", the blond Finn sighed, "You need to take care of yourself."
"I worry about her so much.", The man replied, "The only child that I was able to care for like a father should."
The Finn placed both hands on the Scandinavian's shoulders, "And you have done a great job. But you need to take care if yourself so you can see her at your best."

Finland helped Malthe up and get back to his room, the man fell asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
The blond Finn smiled and walked back down to the kitchen, Norway was waiting.
"He is not immortal anymore.", the Norwegian said.
Finland jumped then sighed, "No. He is not."
"That makes his quest to see her all the more desperate.", Norway said while looking down, "not much time left."
"He has about sixty years left.", The Finn replied.
Norway looked Finland in the eye, "That is still not long for us."
"I know.", Finland said and looked down.
The two were quiet as the coffee machine percolated.
The smell of bitter coffee and breakfast woke the rest of the house.

-

Nat got up and checked on the guest.
The albino was paler if that was even possible, she looked seriously ill.
"Wake up.", the Belarusian said and tapped the albino's cheek.
(Y/n) opened her eyes and yawned, She did not seemed to be bothered at all.
But Nat had to be sure.
"Are you okay?", She asked.
(Y/n) looked her dead in the eye with a tired look, she looked like something was seriously wrong with her.
"No.", the woman answered.
"Are you hungry?", the ash blonde asked.
"I can't eat. Poison is there.", The female said and pointed to the injection point in her leg, "No food. No movement."
That was not a way for anyone to live.

She helped the Scandinavian out of the handcuffs by picking the lock, she gave the albino one of her sister's old dresses.
"It's not as revealing as some of her other clothes. But it is a little skimpy.", Nat laughed a bit awkwardly.
The Scandinavian slowly put the dress on and zipped up the side of the dress.
Her cleavage was in full view, but it was nothing new. Her brothers gave her dresses like that.
The skirt was long thank goodness, save for the slit up the side.
"Thank you", (y/n) breathed out as Nat gave her a bag with the old dress in.
"It was nice to see someone other than my brother.", Nat said with her sweet smile, "I remember how kind you were to me at that party."
"You're a little sweetheart.", the albino smiled to her friend as heavy steps walked towards them.
It was Viktor again, he did not speak and roughly pulled (y/n) with him again.

(Y/n) winced as she was pulled and started to think about how she could be a little stronger I she was somehow able to sap some of his strength, his grip weakened as he put her in the car.
Again she was taken to that base.
Edman was there with a smug look on his face, the expression dropped a bit when he saw Viktor.
But he got it right back after seeing what (y/n) was wearing.
"I knew you could pull off cute mu kallis, but Sexy suits you too.", The Estonian chuckled, "What's wrong with you Viktor? You look tired."
"Shut up. Just a wave of fatigue.", The Russian said and pushed the female into the office chair in the corner again.

The four males there talked amongst themselves as she watched.
She felt sick.
Not from poison or their disgusting comments, something dark was coming.
She lifted her head when she saw a new presence. That Romanian, Dracul.
He handed Edman a case.
Edman opened the case then looked a little surprised at the Romanian, "I did not think you were serious."
"Can I go now?", The Romanian asked with a short temper.
"Fine.", The red haired Estonian said, "Take her."
The Romanian walked to the seated female and gripped the chair she was in, he was careful to to come into contact with her.

It was a flash and they were no longer in that foul smelling base, a large hallway was before the female.
Dracul took his hand off of the chair and walked to a door.
He opened it and stopped, "Use whatever room you want. I need sleep now."
He went into the room that was presumably his bedroom and shut the door.
(Y/n) looked around at the surroundings, she felt safer here than at that base those wicked men were keeping her.
She got up and slowly walked around, it was beautiful Gothic castle or manor.
The albino looked into different rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen, a huge gorgeous library.
She finally found a spare bedroom.
The bed was so big and inviting that she went and laid down on it, the sheets were soft and the mattress cradled her comfortably.

She woke up later that day happier for some reason, she was in no danger and this man did not seem to have any ill will to her.
(Y/n) got up and carefully walked to the kitchen, she looked around and found some tea.
Would he mind if she made some? Or did he prefer coffee?
The silver-white haired female put some water on to heat up, she readied some cups and snacks.
The female waited for the water to be warm enough to put the tea into, she then waited for the tea to steep.
The young woman looked outside, the world outside of the castle was gorgeous.
Gardens and woodland, what seemed to be ruins loomed in the gardens.
Was this a magically hidden area? How did explorers not find this place?
The albino smiled as she watched the outside world from the window, it was lovely.
She then frowned, she wanted to share this view with someone, her father, Luxembourg, somebody.

She watched the sun set, her tea had been sipped away from her cup.
The poured some more tea into her cup.
(Y/n) heard a groan as she took a sip from her tea.
The Romanian had joined her, "You made tea?"
"I could make you coffee if that is what you prefer.", The albino said.
"Nu. This will be okay.", the man said and sat down, "You made quite a appealing spread."
"Thank you.", the albino said and looked as the moon glowed over the grounds.
"Why have you not left yet?", The man asked.
"Poisoned.", the female answered.
"Do you mind giving me a sample of your blood?", he inquired, "so I know what to give as an antidote."
(Y/n) felt a little uneasy about giving him her blood.
And she did not like needles in the least.

But she needed to get over the poison.
So she agreed.
He walked away for a bit then came back with a small blood drawing kit, he walked her through the process of drawing blood and she got what he needed.
She felt even more terrible after her blood was drawn.
"Stay here and eat something. I'll get the antidote.", The man said and walked away.
The female took one of the snacks she made and nibbling, the female waited for the male to come back.
He took a while but came back with a small bottle of liquid and a shot needle.
"Here is the antidote.", Dracul said and placed the bottle near her.
she took the antidote and gave herself a dose of it.
The Romanian man watched her.
Like he did the other times.
"Why are you always watching me?", The female asked, "More importantly, why did you buy me? I thought that we can't be together."
"I watch you because you are interesting. As the only one of your kind, you are interesting.", the man answered, "As for the reason I bought you, it was to learn."
"There is nothing of interest to learn.", The woman responded, "You can learn everything about me by asking my family. Either side. Or just by asking Far."

"There is always something to learn.", Dracul said, "You might be surprised about what you can learn."
The female continued to nibble and be watched by the man who seemed to be taking notes of her habits.
"I have a project that I am working on.", the man said, "You might be interested in it."
(Y/n) looked at him as she was taking a sip from her tea.
"It is a clothing item or accessory that blocks opposite magic type infections.", the man spoke, "At the cost of the wearer's ability to use magic."
The albino woman nodded.
Dracul was quiet as he was trying to translate her answer, he was not able to.
"What is your opinion on the idea?", He asked.
"It sounds like a good idea.", The female said and took a last sip of her drink, "What are you planning to do to me?"
"I cannot lie. I do not honestly have a plan for you.", Dracul answered, "Other than for observation and companionship. "
"You are lonely?", the female asked.
"Yes.", the male replied, "my siblings rarely visit."

The two were quiet.
"Are you going to stop me from leaving?", (y/n) asked.
"Nu. I don't own you as the ones I bought you from believe.", Dracul replied, "But I will follow you."
"For observation?", she inquired.
"Da.", Dracul answered.
"You are not going to kill me or use me for experiments?", The albino asked.
"Nu. I will not harm someone as unique and rare as you.", The Romanian answered, "Although I have great potential for cruelty, I will not show that to you."
(Y/n) got up and washed her cup and plate once she was done with her food, Dracul watched her as usual.
She dried and put the dishes away before walking back to look out of the window, "we both slept all day."
"I admit that I made you sleep with a spell.", The Man said, "but I am nocturnal. I sleep during The day because the sun hurts.".

(Y/n) looked over to Dracul then to the moonlit garden.
"You can go outside to look around.", Dracul spoke, "It would be better for you until I can make a stable magic cancelling garmet."
"Thank you.", the albino said to the vampiric looking man.
He nodded and got up, "I am going to continue working on it."
The Romanian man left her alone, he was polite and honest.
But very solemn.
He seemed to be extremely lonely and wanted someone to be a companion.
The female got up and walked out to the garden.
She smiled a little, he had a sense of humor.
Albeit hidden.
He had a collection of gorgeous flowers with beautiful fruit on display in the middle of the garden, a poisonous display.
He put out the most beautiful and poisonous flowers out in the middle of the garden.
The albino smiled at that.

She walked to the non-poisonous plants and looked at their beautiful flowers.
These plants seemed healthy.
Every plant seemed oddly healthy and happy.
(Y/n) smiled and sat on a stone bench, she felt the cool night air blow over her and wash the floral scent of the garden over her.
The albino woman smiled as she smelled the flowers.
The moonlight shone over her and lit the picturesque garden, its beauty was incredible.
She began to feel lonely again.
The silver-white haired female wanted to talk to someone, almost anyone.
"(Y/n)"
She jumped from the sudden voice pulling her from her thoughts, the albino looked behind her to the Romanian.
"What is it Dracul?", The female asked.
"You have been out here for over two hours.", He replied as his black hair was blown by the night breeze, "It is probably time for you to come in and be warmed up."
"The cold will not make me sick.", (y/n) said and looked back to the flowers.

A weight dropped onto her, she smelled his scent on the cloth around her shoulders.
He had given his cape to her.
"Be careful with your health. I am limited with what I can do for you.", Dracul spoke and sat on the bench next to her.
The man was careful with how close he was, "You looked deep in thought. May I ask about what you were thinking of?"
"My father. I miss him.", The female stated, "I wanted to see him again."
The Romanian seemed to think a little before he held the collar of the cape gently, "I will take you to see him."
A dark mist swirled around them as Dracul took her to the home her father was at, the blond man was sitting at the dining table with a cup in front of him.
His golden hair stuck up like a mountain peak.
"Far?", (y/n) called out to him quietly.

Malthe lifted his head up and slowly turned around, his eyes widened a little.
"(Y/n)?", the blond father got up and faced his daughter before embracing her, "I missed you. I'm sorry I was not able to protect you."
The albino hugged him back, "Far, I'm sorry. I was too weak."
Her father looked at her face with a smile then looked up to see who was behind her, his face fell.
"(Y/n). Why is Dracul here?", The man asked his daughter.
"He helped me get away from Edman.", the silver-white haired female replied.
"And you trust him?", Malthe inquired.
"I have to.", (y/n) responded.
"(Y/n). It is time to return.", Dracul spoke softly.
The albino nodded and let go of her father, Malthe's eyes went blank as if he was in a trance.
"What are you doing?", The female asked the vampiric man.
"He cannot remember us here. For protection reasons.", Dracul replied.
"Can you let him remember one thing?", (y/n) asked.
"Speak it now.", The Romanian said.

"I love you far, I'll be safe. I promise.", (y/n) spoke to her father before the black haired Romanian took her back to his home.
"I apologize.", the pale man spoke, "But it is better if you remain here and if few people know where you are."
"Why? Why can I not go back?", The female asked, "I miss my father. I miss Sweden and the others."
"You and those around you are at risk if you return.", the man explained, "If you stay with me, you'll have the protection of my purchase of you. If you return, that will no longer be so."
His words made sense, his expression told her that he was tired.
"If suppose you will want to stay awake as long as possible.", Dracul spoke, "That is fine, but I need to go to sleep."
The Romanian walked to his room and shut the door. Leaving (y/n) to herself.
She knew he was dangerous.
But he also seemed to care about what happened to her.
She could trust him for a while.
