Chapter thirty-one: Emotions

The castle was dark when the Scandinavian returned.
She had a full belly and was happy from her talk with Luxembourg, she still felt the kiss he gave her.
The young woman quickly got changed and ready for bed, she was walking back to the room she chose to sleep in when she saw Dracul standing in the hallway.
"Dracul, why are you still up?", she asked.
"You were out. I did not know where you were.", Dracul answered, "I was... concerned, is that the word?"
(Y/n) nodded, "I believe it is, but you do not have to stay up for me."
The silver-white haired woman put on her gloves as he got closer, just in case.

"Time for us to go to bed.", Dracul said.
"I was just returning to the room you graciously allowed me to stay in.", (y/n) replied.
Dracul looked at her quietly before turning to return to his room, "As you wish."
The albino female watched him, 'Did he want to share a bed again?'
She shook her head and walked back to 'her' room, she laid in the bed and got comfortable.
She smiled as she thought about Luxembourg, that sweet man made her heart flutter when they spoke together.
(Y/n) smiled one last time before she fell into sleep.

-

Luxembourg worked happily after (y/n) visited, he was glad that she was safe after that kidnapping.
He soon began to wonder why she was so tired.
What had she been up to?
His thoughts were interrupted by the phone ringing, his sister had called.
He sighed and picked it up.
Belgium asked the same types of questions as she always did, his sister was sweet and cared.
Just like (y/n).
"You sound pretty happy this morning Luxembourg.", Belgium commented, "May I ask what it was?"

"I had breakfast with (y/n).", The brunet man replied with a smile, "It was nice to see her again."
"(Y/n)?", Belgium asked, "You mean Malthe's daughter?"
"Jo.", The blue-green eyed male said with a smile.
"She was at your house this morning?", The Belgian asked.
"Jo.", the Luxembourgish man replied, "It was a very pleasant experience."
"Sounds like you like her.", Belgium laughed, "Does my little brother have a crush?"
"Perhaps sister, perhaps.", Luxembourg smiled, "I just might be falling in love with her."
The two siblings had a light chuckle from that, "So is she coming back to visit you?"
"I hope so.", Luxembourg said with a smile.

Thurston cleaned up his hands after finishing his torture of Edman.
The Estonian man was splattered everywhere in the chamber, it was a pure bloodbath.
The Finnish man looked at what he had done again.
Edman was torn limb from limb, entrails scattered throughout the room, the body was slowly regenerating in the corner as the blood and brains smeared the walls.
A loud squishy sound was made when Thurston stomped the reforming head into bits, "disgusting."
Clapping got his attention as he turned back to see Taris, "What the hell do you want?"
"If you are done torturing my comrade, I have some news.", The black haired Lithuanian said.
"And what the hell is that?", Thurston snapped.

"We've bugged a few phones as you may know and one has picked up on a conversation about that woman you are looking for.", Taris said and turned to leave the torture room, "I'd lock him in there to stew for a while if I were you."
"Hm.", The Finn acknowledged. He shut and bolted the door shut, "So who mentioned my fiancée?"
"Luxembourg.", Taris replied.
"Of fucking course.", Thurston hissed, "It had to be him."
"We actually took her from him.", The Lithuanian explained, "It looked like they were on a date."
He did not flinch when Thurston punched a wall out if anger.
"You have payment?", The Lithuanian asked.
"Joo.", the Finn answered, "Do I have to pay you for this?"
"Not the full amount.", the black haired man answered, "How about a fourth of the money?"
"That is still a significant amount.", The scarlet eyed Finn said.

"Fine.", Taris sighed, "Fix my handgun and we're even."
"Deal.", Thurston replied, "Give me the weapon, I can fix it here."
The raven haired Lithuanian gave him the weapon and followed him to the storage closet where the tools were.
"How my times have I fixed this for you now?", The brunet haired male asked.
"I lost count.", The yellowish orange eyed man replied.
Thurston began to work on the gun, "This is a simple fix, you could do it yourself."
"Maybe I just wanted to talk weapons with you.", Taris spoke, "Or listen to you talk about that girl you wanted. You mentioned something about her being your fiancee?"
"Joo. She is my fiancee.", The Finn answered.
The black haired Lithuanian was quiet for a bit as he watched the brunet finn.
"It looked like she was in love with Luxembourg when I was watching them.", Taris said, knowing that he was making the finn angry, "I think they kissed once. It looked like a date."

Thurston looked like he was about to blow an artery, he was incredibly angry.
The man gave Taris his gun back.
The Lithuanian put the firearm in its holster after examining it.
"You have good taste in women.", The black haired Lithuanian said, "She is very pretty."
Scarlet eyes glared at him and he put his hands up, "I will not take her from you."
The finn seemed to be satisfied with that answer sonewhat.
"Want a drink?", Taris asked.
"No. I don't want to be drugged.", Thurston responded, "I am going home. I have to plan a hunt."
"What is your quarry?", The raven haired Lithuanian asked.
"Luxembourg.", The finn replied and walled out of the base.

Malthe's paintbrush had just lifted off the canvas of the portrait he was painting when the phone rang, he set the brush and palette down to answer the phone.
He picked the receiver up, "Hallo."
"Hello Malthe.", the charming Luxembourgish male said to the male.
"Oh, Noah. It is good to hear you up again.", The blond man smiled.
"It is good to hear your voice sounding happy again.", Luxembourg answered, "I wanted to let you know that I saw your daughter this morning, we had breakfast together."
It seemed like he world slowed down for Malthe after he heard that.
He was happy that she was safe, yet he was worried for what might happen to her.
"Did she seem happy?", The blond father asked.

"She was very happy.", Luxembourg answered, "We talked for a long time and She is doing very well."
"That is good to hear.", Malthe smiled then faltered, "Luxembourg, I want you to be careful my friend. My sons, as you know, are after her. You could be a target if you have been talking to her."
The brunet man sighed, "I am aware malthe. But I thank you for your concern."
"Take care. My friend.", The blond man said.
"I will.", The blue-green eyed male said, "But before you go, Do you think that I would be a good fit for your daughter?"
There was silence on the line, Luxembourg was waiting for the answer.

"Most likely.", Malthe said, "Noah, if you two do become a couple... this old man would be happy."
Luxembourg laughed from the answer.
"And asking when you will have grandchildren for me.", Malthe continued.
The brunet male chuckled, "good to know Malthe, take care."
"Goodbye.", The blond responded and hung the receiver up.

Dracul woke up, he was not supposed to be awake at this time.
It was the middle of the day, what woke him?
He looked around to find anything that could remind him of why he woke so easily.
The pale man sighed and lay back down in his bed, the soft mattress supported him as he did.
A sigh escaped his thin and chapped lips, what scared him? What made him wake? What was different?
A different thought came onto his head, was (y/n) okay?

He begrudgingly got up and walked to her room to check on her, she was whining in her sleep as she always has.
The never-ending nightmares torment her and strain her mind, what evil sights did she see as a child to stain her brain so badly?
What horrible tragedy befell her? How could he help her?
One thought led to another as Dracul closed distance on the sleeping female, she was helpless like this.
She could not resist. No fight.
It would be easy to take advantage of her like this.
But he would not, sure he was deplorable in other regards. Yet he would not stoop so low as to take advantage of a helpless woman, he was not that kind of monster.

Breathing evened out as he gently brushed her hair from her face, the contact with her skin made her feel better. Safer. Someone was there with her that she could trust.
The jet black haired male became tired again, he was too sleepy to return to his room and she was right here.
She was warm.
Dracul lay next to her before returning to slumber, his hand only resting on hers that lay by her side.
He did not want to touch her without her permission, he had standards after all.
Two of completely opposite forces, together in complete peace.
No conflict, no pain. Just peace.

-

Iceland again was scribbling in his journal, he was writing down his regret of not getting to know (y/n) better.
She was a sweet girl and did not deserve for him to treat her so coldly.
Perhaps if he was nicer to her, she would still be there to talk to him.
She was cute, she was nice, she had a nice smile, hell, the puffin liked her.
Iceland set his pen down, first she came and caught him off guard with how adorable she was. Then he was plagued by dreams of her, both pure and dirty.
Now he was regretting not being a better older brother to her, he now sort of understood how Norge felt.
Not completely, just a little.
The platinum haired male let out a sigh, his violet eyes cast down over the words he wrote.

He was getting used to calling malthe dad, was he really ready to be a big brother?
Or even an uncle if the time came where she had kids?
Pale cheeks turned pink as he pushed his impure thoughts away, being eternally stuck as a seventeen year old had its disadvantages.
His brothers were lucky, they were older and somewhat more mature than him.
Iceland thought back to the albino, what age would she be stuck as? Would she mature a little more or stay like a teenager with him?
He heard Malthe finish talking on the phone, no doubt it was Luxembourg again.
Malthe seemed to have a habit of talking to him and other germanic countries.

Footsteps approached his room, "Iceland, I am going to need another set of eyes on this painting."
The young man stood up and followed malthe to the canvas.
On the canvas was a lovely scene, almost like a photograph.
(Y/n) Sitting next to a woman who looked like her, both of them watching the skies as the sun sets.
A still and quiet moment that never happened, captured on a canvas.
"She looks familiar.", Iceland said and pointed to the blonde woman that had longer hair than (y/n), "Who is she?"
"That is- was my wife, Brunhilda.", Malthe answered, "She and (y/n)... are very much alike. But unlike her mother, (y/n) is stronger than the darkness that took her."
"You sound like you forgive her for what she did to you and the others.", The Icelandic male spoke, "Is that true?"

"It is.", Malthe answered, "I miss her, forgive her and love her. She is still my darling wife and mother to my children."
