Chapter fifty-one: Sickness and health

Luxembourg drummed his fingers on his desk, He had already finished his work. He had lunch. He fed his dog. What was left for him to do?
He could go out for a walk, yet he really did not want to go.
He decided to visit his older sister. The Belgian should have some comforting words to ease his pain.
He took Pelutze with him on the walk to Belgium's house so the pooch could get some exercise.

The Luxembourgish man walked right up to his sister's house and knocked on the door, she responded and gladly let him in.
"What a pleasant surprise!," she said happily, "I was curious about how you were doing."
the brunet man smiled in return, "I am doing well, thank you."
His blonde sister did not seem so convinced, "You do not seem to be telling the whole truth."
"Alright, I am worried about (y/n).", Luxembourg admitted, "I love her and am worried for her safety after I had to let her go yesterday."
Belgium nodded with a smile, "you really do love her. All you do is talk about her anymore."
"I-i do?," Luxembourg asked, "I'm sorry."

Belgium laughed a little, "Don't apologize, you are happy and that is good."
Luxembourg looked down at Pelutze and sat down on a couch.
"Shall I get us something to drink?," the blonde asked, "Or should we just talk?"
"Talk please.," the brunet said and petted his dog, "I am in need of telling someone how I feel and (y/n) is not here."
"Then where is she?," she asked, "I was wondering where she was."
The blue-green eyed male looked down, "I had to give her to someone who could protect her better than I. I can't withstand her brothers and Thurston, I have already failed once against Thurston on his own."
Belgium looked worried for her little brother, "So that is what happened to you."
He nodded sadly, "I could not protect myself, how can I protect the woman I love?"
"What if it not you protecting her, but inspiring her to use her power?," the blonde inquired her brother, "From what you told me, Norway sees great potential in her magic."

"Mäi léift does not remember ever having magic. She has forgotten about almost everything.," Luxembourg said as tears began to fill his eyes and he shook, "I can't... Believe she was hurt so bad..."
He wiped his tears and gripped his shirt right above his heart, "I was tortured by Thurston because I love her, I was killed because I love her."
"Little brother.," Belgium said and reached her hand out to him, "What is wrong?"
"I... feel so sick around her yet I want to be with her.," Luxembourg said as his shoulders moved with a few hiccups, "I feel like I have failed her."
The blonde sat by her brother and gave him an embrace, "You have not failed her, this just shows how much you love her. You want to be with her even when you are in pain."

(Y/n) was still asleep as Dracul continued to read. Her head resting gently on his shoulder as she warmed him up.
The Romanian felt quite happy with how they were, he could get used to doing this with her on a regular basis.
He stopped thinking that once he remembered Luxembourg, the one who was deeply in love with this woman and she with him.
It would not be right to take her from him, yet Dracul could.
He felt that she was still sick, she was not as resilient to disease as he was.
The Romanian felt something else. A presence was in his house, a familiar and welcomed presence.

A pinkish haired man peeked into the library, "Oh dear, is she okay?"
"She is just resting to heal from the illness.," Dracul answered.
Oliver nodded and walked into the library, "I brought Allen and Matt along if you don't mind."
"Make sure they behave.," Dracul replied and looked down at the albino woman.
Oliver nodded and walked to the kitchen, letting the two be alone.
The vampiric Romanian heard Oliver talking to the two, telling them that they should behave.
It was not long before he heard the patter of shoes on his floors and two head peek into the library.
"Hey Drac.," Allen said and walked in, "You taking care of her?"
"Da," Dracul replied.
Matthieu nodded, "She looks like she is more comfortable here than where we last saw her.

Dracul felt the young woman moving and sit up, his chest was suddenly cold.
(Y/n) yawned and rubbed her eyes endearingly before looking up to Dracul's watchful gaze, his red eyes did not waver.
"How long was I asleep?," the albino asked and soon saw he two other mles watching her, "I remember you two from Luciano's place. You were yelling at him."
The tanned man nodded, "That was us, mostly me though. Are you doing better now?"
The pale female nodded, "I am, thank you."
"That's great. And what I said before to Luciano, I meant it.," Allen said, "I would have fought him to get you somewhere safe."
(Y/n) gave him a smile before violently coughing into her sleeve, she shivered afterwards.
"You don't look like you are feeling too well, doll.," Allen said, "Did you catch what Drac had?"
She nodded and got up, "I should do something for you guests."

"Doll, sit down. You're sick.," Allen said and caught the female as she tried to walk past him, "Don't strain yourself too much."
Matthieu looked back to Dracul before turning to (y/n), "You don't have to do anything for us, you are a guest yourself."
"Lumina lunii is more durable than a human.," Dracul spoke up and rose from his seat, "I will make some tea for our guests."
The two brothers were a bit surprised.
"You're going to suddenly be a good host?," Allen asked.
Dracul nodded, "Call it a good mood."
The Romanian man walked past the two and went to the kitchen to make the tea for his guests as he talked with the British man.
The Canadian and the American helped the albino Scandinavian follow him on her unsteady feet.

Allen picked the female up and carried her to the kitchen, Matthieu followed and watched to make sure he did not try anything stupid. The American set her down carefully and helped her over to where Oliver and Dracul were.
The Romanian looked down at the female watching him, "Do you want some tea as well?"
(Y/n) nodded a little in defeat as she would not be allowed to make food for the guests due to her illness.
"Dearie, how about you for talk to Allen and Matthieu while we talk here?," the pastel brit offered, "I'm sure the boys will enjoy speaking to you."
The albino nodded, "Okay."
She turned and walked back to the two north American brothers, they sat down a the dining table to talk.

"I can see why you are a popular lady," Allen said with a little chuckle, "You are really gorgeous."
The blond gruff Canadian nodded, "Cute."
"Thank you.," (y/n) responded softly, "You two are rather handsome as well."
The tanned male chuckled a bit, "Don't get me too into you, Doll."
Matthieu looked away from her.
"So why are you two here with Oliver?," (y/n) asked the two men.
Allen sighed, "I'm in trouble again, Matt is just here because he has nothing else to do."
"Oliver is here to have a talk with Dracul.," Matthieu said and let out a large breath he was holding.
Allen had a little smile on his face, "So doll, you don't remember anything about us before you woke up?"

The silvery-white haired female shook her head, "Only the time at Luciano's home and here."
"That's too bad, you looked like an angel in that dress during the gala.," The American said and slid a picture of her in an old ball gown towards her.
He must have taken it on his phone in secret.
(Y/n) looked at him, "Why did you take it in secret?"
"You were under heavy guard. I would have been beaten to a pulp if they saw me.," the American said.
The Canadian looked at his brother, "I would have liked to see that."
Allen looked annoyed at his brother, "Yeah, you sure would."
The two had a sparking air of rivalry between them, the young female looked between them and let out a sigh.
"Is something wrong between you?," (y/n) asked.

"They don't really get along sometimes.," the voice of Oliver said as the cheery British man walked in and set a tray of tea snacks down.
Dracul followed and set down the the teapot and cups, he gave (y/n) a cup of tea he poured.
"Thank you.," the albino female said and took the cup before sipping the tea.
The Romanian sat down next to her as Oliver sat next to the two north American males, Matthieu took some of the snacks and ate them.
The albino female quietly sat next to the Romanian and listened to the males talk, the smell of the tea comforted her.
It smelled different than the tea that the others were drinking, they had an English afternoon tea while she had a lavender and chamomile. She leaned on Dracul's shoulder and rested some more.

Dracul knew she was asleep again, she needed the rest though.
"It has been nice to talk to you again old boy.," Oliver said cheerily, "But it looks like we should go."
Allen pointed to the lightly sleeping female on Dracul's arm, "At least she trusts you enough to be this comfortable."
The Romanian nodded slightly, "I am... happy to be her... friend."
Oliver's face lit up, "And I am ecstatic that you are using words like those to describe yourself. It shows that you are growing for the first time in a few hundred years."
The raven haired male smiled slightly, "I guess."
"I will come back tomorrow.," the pastel brit said with a large smile, "See you then.~"

"Oh wait!," Allen said then wrote something down for Dracul, "I heard from Edman that her brothers are searching everywhere again for her. They are playing for keeps this time, So they might come here to search."
The raven haired Romanian took the piece of paper from the American and looked at the words on the sheet, "Names?"
"Everyone they already hit in their crazed search.," Matthieu said, "We are next, then you. If you want to protect her, you better find a damn good safehouse."
The red eyed Romanian nodded and put the paper in his pocket, "Thank you. I will use this information well."

Oliver took his group home and left the two alone, Dracul picked his guest up gently.
"(Y/n), lumina lunii, come on.," he spoke gently, "I am taking you somewhere safe."
The young woman felt cold suddenly, the two were outside in a different area.
She cuddled closer to Dracul to try to get warm, it did not help. He wrapped his cape around her.
"Where?," (y/n) asked as she shivered.
Dracul continued to walk in the cool outdoors, the stars above them twinkled
The Romanian man stopped and let out a breath that turned into a puff of vapor, "Germany. Gilen and Lutz have already been hit.," Dracul said, "They will need your help, I can handle your brothers myself."

The Romanian brought the young woman to a wrecked home and set her down before heading to the door, the door opened and a gun was jammed into the Romanian's face.
It was a very shaken up Lutz, he was covered in bruises and blood.
"Dracul?," the German asked.
"Da. And (y/n).," the Romanian replied and the German backed away.
"Ve can't. Please, go avay.," the blond man said with violent shaking in his voice.
Lutz was panting a little, his brother was hiding behind the destroyed couch.
The albino female peeked out from behind Dracul and the German man jumped back, then sighed.
"Gilen?," (y/n) asked the German man.
The blond looked behind him at his brother then put his gun down, "Sorry, Ve... Ve vere attacked recently."

(Y/n) nodded and looked down, "I am very sorry."
The German man stepped aside, "Nien, nien, I am sorry. Please. Come in."
the albino female walked in and kneeled by the crying Prussian, "Gilen."
Gilen turned and shook when he saw her, "(y/n)?"
"Are you okay?," she asked and placed her hand on his shoulder.
He shook his head, "Jour brüder are grausam."
the female rubbed his back gently, "It is okay to cry."
She smiled and let Gilen cry on her.

Lutz nodded to Dracul, "Danke. Ve vill look after her. But I have zhe feeling she will be taking care of us."
the Romanian nodded and disappeared.
(Y/n) took off the gloves that she had been made to wear near Dracul, she felt some sort of energy zap through her when she did.
The female hugged the Prussian and let him cry his troubles out.
He sniffed and let go of her, he was completely healed.
Lutz looked surprised but nodded, "Can jou give me a hug?"
The albino female did not hug him, but she held his hand. His wounds disappeared as she did, he let go and looked at the now smoothed skin.
"Now zhat is interesting. It did not hurt.," Lutz said and flopped onto a chair that fell out from under him. He sighed, "I am too tired for zhis scheiße."
