Chapter fifty-eight: Goddess's Garden

Thurston sat in the garden he made for (y/n). He remembered how he decorated her with the gentle blooms as she slept, she was so beautiful.
She was a goddess, his goddess.
Magnus was gone, the Dane was probably the only one he could talk to besides (y/n) who did not piss him off. It had been a month or so since they found his body, why was Magnus taking so long?
The Finn played with the petals of one of the flowers he picked, it was a delicate bloom that he specially bred for his beloved.
Loki helped him make it as it was a magic plant, he bred it to look a certain way so it would compliment his goddess.
The brunet man felt his adopted mother's love as he sat in the garden, surrounded by the blooms that were fed her essence and ashes. The garden that dedicated to the two goddesses, the original and her offspring.
The brunet fell back onto the soft grass and watched the sky and plants around him, he was acting rather calm compared to how others would expect him to act.
He was praying to his goddess to come home, to come to his arms, to accept his love, to marry him and to be his.

The scarlet eyed brunet closed his eyes as he lay there peacefully, he had not been able to sleep well since his beloved was lost. He needed her back and this was the way he felt closest to her, being in the place he made specifically for her.
The others were busy trying to do their jobs or getting support from the families of their old cult members.
He felt the warm breeze blow over him as he put his arm over his eyes to block out the sunlight.
The man felt the warmth of the sun and breeze, he felt it to be the warm love that his fiancee would give him once she was home.
A sigh escaped his lips. No, no, that was not it.
Her love was much more warm and powerful than just a simple breeze, she was more like the sun. So bright and warm, gentle and powerful.
Her soft and warm body that cuddled right up to him.
Porcelain skin, soft and supple rose lips, eyes more beautiful than jewels and innocent, hair that was softer and more smooth than silk, a voice that was clear as pure ice and softer than the wool of a lamb. Her supple body is what he wanted to hold. To love.
He remembered how her soft hands held his, how they would run across his chest. Her lips teased him and dared him to kiss them, and the sweet honey to taste when he did. Her innocent and large eyes begged for him to hold her close and love her forever, those lovely eyes had more appeal for him than any jewels or gemstones.

Thurston felt himself drifting off into sleep in the afternoon sun, he had a smile on his face. A smile that could only be made in an area and for someone he loved.
He let himself fall asleep in the warm air.
The others saw him and did not bother him as they knew his need for a long and peaceful rest.
They were more happy about the fact he had a smile on his face for the first time since he lost his beloved.
His peaceful breathing was slow and deep, something that was so peaceful that he did not store from some wild birds and butterflies land on him.
His brothers smiled as they came out to check on him, they were quiet and left him alone after seeing he was okay.
The Finn lay there for a few hours before waking up to the setting sun and voices of people who were not his brothers, it seems like Loki was able to rally a few people from their old members' families.
The Finn got up and walked inside to see some young humans following Loki about as the Pyromancer explained some things and played about with his magic to wow the followers.

"Hey, firefucker.," Thurston said and the group of about eight teenagers turned to look behind them to see who insulted their teacher, "The fuck are you doing?"
"Oh, you're awake Thurston. Did you have a nice nap in the goddess's garden?," Loki asked and the teens seemed to get excited at the mention of the goddess.
"Yes, but I still want to go see if I can find her.," the red eyed Finn said as he shooed some of the kids off of him, "Why the hell are there humans here?"
"Oh, I found a few of our old friends' grandchildren who were interested in our power.," the Norwegian male answered with a smile, "I'm just showing them around and telling them about mother's power and how little sister has inherited those said powers."
The brunet looked a the kids, they definitely looked as brainwashed as their ancestors were.
The brunet man turned before he heard the kids chattering to Loki, who was explaining that they just met the fiancé of the goddess.
The kids seemed to lose their minds after learning this.
Thurston looked for the kitchen with his groggy mind to get some coffee, he found it and made the bitter liquid.
He took a long drink of it and set the cup down once done.

-

It was cold, cold.
Distant voice of a woman sounded, "Go back. Go back, live again."
Blue eyes opened to the orange and purple skies, pale skin with scars moved as the muscles underneath rippled with movement.
A man lifted himself from a grassy field, his blond hair waved in the breeze and looked around. He lifted his hand to his head and felt for a scar, he found none.
"Old body was destroyed, huh?," the man asked and took a breath, "Time to go."
The voice of the woman sounded again, "Find her. Find your sister."
This was the only magic he had, his ability to see ghosts and things that humans usually can't.
His first directive would be to get clothing. He walked over the hills and found the beautiful gardens that were made for his sister.
The magic garden glowed beautifully as the sun went down. It was enough that the man was able to smile.
We walked into the house and found Thurston in the kitchen, the Finn placed the cup down.

"Thurston.," the Dane said and the Finn turned around to see the blond dane.
The Finn's eyes widened and he gave the taller male a hug, "Magnus!"
The tall Dane pushed the male off, "Can I please have some clothes to put on?"
The Finn nodded and let the blond man go to his room to change.
Thurston walked to the office to wait for Magnus to arrive, Magnus did return and sat down at the desk. He found a cup of coffee sitting on the desk.
"I though you'd like to have one after being gone for a log time.," the Finn said.
Magnus took the cup up into his large hand and brought it up to his mouth to drink, it was wonderful to finally have it again.
He placed it down and sighed, Thurston looked at his face.
"Did she tell you a directive this time again?," Thurston asked.
"Yes. Mor told me to find her, I have to find her.," Magnus answered and got up again, "Where is the axe?"

The Finnish man nodded and motioned for the dane to follow, "I went back to get it for you. I even fixed the broken structures and sharpened the blade."
Magnus knew it would not be the last time that Thurston would fix his favorite axe, and the axe was fixed many times before. The only original thing left was the metal head.
Thurston walked him out to the garden and to the workshop, he gave the axe to the dane with a smile.
Magnus felt the weight of the axe in his hand, it was well balanced. Perfect as it should be.
The blond took the axe in his hand and walked back to the house where he saw Loki and the kid parade.
"Loki, What the hell is this?," the dane asked and the Norwegian had a big smile on his face.
"MAGGIE! You're back!," the Norwegian jumped up to his older brother and gave him a hug, "These are the new members. I was just show in them around."
The blond dane set the burned male down, "I'm going to look for her, Like Mor told me to."
"You spoke to Mor again.," Loki said, "What did she say?"
"To find (y/n).," Magnus said, "And I was able to pin her down better thanks to Mor's connection."
The smoky blue eyes of the dane scanned over the fresh young faces that looked up at him before he walked out of the house again.

-

Bernard saw his eldest brother leave the house.
Out again to find their sister, Bernard was not allowed to go find her due to his tendacy to want to bite her.
The swede walked to the garden to eat his meal and watch the flowers shed their petals.
His bloody red eyes ran over the garden after he sat down and watched the petals fly on the breeze.
It was like watching the dancing in the festivals of the old days.
The dancing of the ladies in their dresses swirling as they moved around.
He longed for those old days of festivities, where he could choose what human he wanted to eat and they would willingly set themselves out to let him.

Longing for his sister to come home as well, they could rebuild those old days. Not with the self-sacrifice anymore as he could just go to prisons that were overstocked and get meals like that.
His sharp toothed grin widened as he continued to think and dream, the glow of the magic flowers made this whole time feel like a dream. The magic that surrounded the garden made it feel even more so.
Bernard closed his eyes and felt the air and magic around him, he let the smell of the flowers engulf him in the purity of the one they were planted for.
He fell back into the grass under the eternally blooming and fruiting tree, it's golden trunk and silver roots made it look absolutely heavenly. Exactly what one would expect for a garden devoted to a goddess.

-

Egil finished setting up the receiving room where the visitors would be brought to give gifts to and meet the new goddess.
The ma,e was extremely happy with how perfectly he set it up, flowers from the garden, the best throne for his darling sister to sit in, curtains and windows that would light her up perfectly.
He heard his older brother coming and talking to the newbies. The platinum haired icelander turned in time to see the kids and the tall Norwegian walk through the doors.
"Hello, welcome to where she will greet you once she comes.," the Icelandic man said with a smile. His red-violet eye glowed with an eerie light.
The puffin flew around him and settled on his shoulder, "have all of you seen the Dragon yet?"
The kids replied that they have not and looked to Loki, the Norwegian had a proud smile on his face.
"That is the next stop on our tour.," the burned man said and led the kids away, "Now like I was saying, we have been around since before the Viking era. We have seen pretty much every war and magic imaginable."

The icelander stretched and smiled.
He thought that Thurston had the right idea earlier and decided to visit the garden to bask in its magnificent glory. The same glory that his sister held.
The Icelandic man's boots tapped on the polished floor as he made his way to the garden, he found it was glowing with the same light his sister did. The magic that he had been secretly gathering from the areas she frequented ad paid off, the whole garden had the magic and feeling of the beautiful woman's magic. They were protected from dark magic because of this and had a wonderful garden.
Now if only she was there with him.
He laid down next to the cannibal swede and closed his eye to sleep in the warm night air of the goddess's garden.

-

Loki brought the kids up from meeting the dragon and brought them to the garden.
It was something that took the kids' breath away with the insane beauty.
"This garden is almost as wonderful as she is.," the Norwegian said with a smile, "Come, it is late. You will need to return home, but I can be reached with the same ritual your grandparents told you about."
The Norwegian was about to take all of them home when one small child told him that he did not want to go home. Loki kneeled by this single small child, "Why not child?"
"Dad and mom do not like me, they say I was a mistake.," the young child cried as Loki saw the bruises on the kid's skin.
The Norwegian patted the kid's hair, "You can stay with me for a bit. Who else just summoned me because they knew we would take care of them?"
Four of the other seven kids raised their hands, some looked malnourished some had malformed bodies, some looked like they were force fed drugs.

"In the spirit of my dear sister, I will take care of you.," the Norwegian said, "(y/n) will heal your wounds and other ailments once she returns."
He took them deeper into the gardens and let them sit in the grasses of the garden by the glowing flowers.
The children one by one fell asleep.
The five that raised their hands slightly resembled the brothers, enough that Loki got a bit of a sudden urge to protect the kids.
He laid in the grass beside the smallest kid who was clinging to him.
Loki curled his arm around the small skinny kid, he went to sleep knowing his sister would love to see these children when she returned.
