This past year was anything but easy for you.

Being shot by some random lady at the train station and then ending up in another world that is full of anthropomorphic animals, you believed your life couldn't get any stranger. But then you got attacked at school, only to fall in love with said Attacker over the course of a couple of months, whilst making all kinds of friends and enemies.

No worries though, your relationship with a carnivorous grey wolf is surprisingly healthy.

Then, you were kidnapped and had to be rescued by the wolf that would later confess his love for you, eventually making you his girlfriend. Only for him to break up with you not soon after to pursue a murderer, leaving you utterly shattered and in the perfect condition to make safe decisions for yourself.

Please note the sarcasm.

And being left behind by someone you liked to call one of your closest friends at the time certainly didn't help either. Indeed, you were not in any way shape or form of sound mind, leading you right into the dangerous arms of Doctor Masago, who greatly enjoyed using you for all kinds of experiments. Only when she tried to turn you into a human incubator did you fight back, losing your finger and killing a security guard. Having escaped, you were found and taken in by your ex-friend, who somehow became the leader of a lion mafia.

Days later, you set out to find answers, ending up in a car crash that almost killed you and your experiment-partner-turned-friend. But you barely evaded death, waking up in the hospital, only to flee from said hospital to support your boyfriend during his crazy fight to the death with a grizzly bear.

It's all good, they hugged it out, everything turned out fine.

And sure, all of this sounds pretty devastating if you tell it like that, however, you're coping. Somehow.

However, all of this has taught you one thing.

You don't want to live with any more regrets.

These past few months have shown you the darkest sides of life and you know that you will carry the marks time has left on you for the rest of your mortal days. It has shown you that no matter how sure you are, you can never estimate what fate throws in your path.

You don't want to regret the choices that you've made in life. So you have to take a leap of faith, if you will. Carpe diem, as they say. Seize the day. The world is full of opportunities. Life is full of chances, full of love and pain, all of which create the experience that confirms you're alive. It connects everyone, whether human or animal.

Your journey has just begun and you're ready to embrace everything life has to offer.

This is my leap of faith.

Dropping out of school and instead choosing to enter the big world of adults earlier than expected is a decision you never thought you'd make. Yet here you are, eager to take every challenge head on.

New adventures lie ahead. And I can't wait to see what they have in store for me!
