13:25 - Gym, Mr. Lucks/Mrs. Clentus

15:20 - Dismissal

I could not believe it! First, Percy gets a girlfriend and doesn't even tell me... well, okay, he did tell me, but I didn't believe him... BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!

After I heard him talking to his mum in his apartment, I had been avoiding him. But then, I saw them at school. It was like torture. I was so upset that I didn't even go to the party at Charlotte Pretsy's house.

The morning after her party, I woke up with puffy eyes.

"Honey, are you okay?" Asked my mum as I trudged into the kitchen. I nodded glumly as she placed a plate of waffles in front of me. Percy's favorite - except they weren't blue. My mum's eyes narrowed. She smirked and took a seat next to me.

"How's Percy?" She asked slowly. My scowl became more pronounced at his name. My mum grinned triumphantly, "So this is about him! My suspicions are confirmed... you like him,"

I didn't even try to deny it.

"He's got a girlfriend," I scoffed. My mother grimaced.

"That's often the case," She agreed.

"What do you mean?" I asked, curiously. She flashed me a cunning smile,

"You have to win him back," She said encouragingly.

"What do you mean?" I inquired.

"Jade, you have to make him realise you're better than this girl! Now I have to leave for work," She said and swiftly got up and left me at the table.

Maths was one of the few lessons I still enjoyed. I got to sit next to Percy and Annabeth wasn't there.

"So how was the party?" I asked him. He looked at me,

"Good to know you're speaking to me again," I blushed a little and he laughed, "It was okay," He added. I gave him a small smile before Morgan came over,

"So, are you trying out for the swim team again this year?" He asked. Percy shrugged, "Go on!" Insisted Morgan, "It would be nice to see you make captain instead of Aiden again,"

Percy blushed a little and mumbled something about not wanting to cheat before he changed the subject. Thankfully, the 'Annabeth conversation' didn't come up before Miss Matalan told us to (and I quote)

"Shut up or get out of my classroom," She was strict a lot of the time, but I guess that's 'cause she's used to teaching AP classes and they were better behaved than us.

When maths was over we headed to English. Uhh, now I have to see Annabeth again (cue eye roll)

"Hey," Said Annabeth as she saw us. Today, she wore simple leggings and a bright orange t-shirt, with Percy's jersey over the top of it. Percy's face lit up when he saw her, and he snaked his arm around her waist.

"Morning guys," Said Mr. Blowfish as we walked into the classroom.

"Hi Paul- I mean... Mr. Blofis," Percy grinned in response,

"Hi Annabeth. You two try to keep the PDA to a minimum in here, yeah?" He laughed as they both blushed a deep shade of red.

Annoyingly, we had two to a table in English and no seating plan, so they sat together, while me and Morgan took seats behind them and the rest of the class filed in.

Today, we were doing Shakespeare's, 'a midsummer's night's dream'. Luckily, today we only had to watch the film, so that we knew the story.

I wish love were as easy as squirting a flower in someone's eyes. Percy would be mine in a second, although I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one trying for him.

When I looked down at Percy. He was asleep on the table and a puddle of drool surrounded his face.

I remembered last year, when we had been in Maths. Percy had fallen asleep on the desk - per usual - and his head had rolled onto my hand. I swear, I had to clamp my free one over my mouth to keep from screaming.

Anyway, we were about five minutes into the lesson when I felt something cold start to seep its way onto my hand. I had looked down and realised that he was drooling!

"Percy!" I hissed, "Wake up! Your drooling on my hand," Percy had just laughed and stared into the distance fondly.

I assumed that it had become an inside joke to us, since it happened almost everyday after that - the drooling in his sleep, not the resting on my hand part.

Annabeth was watching the film intently now, but looked over at Percy. She smiled fondly at him and then noticed the puddle of saliva. Gently, she nudged his arm. His eyes fluttered open and he sat up - his hair messier than before.

Annabeth stifled a laugh and I had to refrain from slapping her in her stupid face.

"You're drooling in your sleep again," She told him. Again?  What did she do, watch him sleep?!

"Psst! Jade!" hissed Morgan. I looked at him questioningly.

"What?" I whispered back angrily,

"Stop staring at Percy," He replied. I scowled,

"Why should I?" I snapped back.

"Jade, he has a girlfriend. It was all fine when you didn't know, but you do know now, so you have to stop. You'll just hurt yourself more," He said, his voice less harsh now and more sympathetic. I glared at him and turned around, determined not to speak to him for the rest of the day.

The rest of the day was awful, despite having every class with Percy.

I either couldn't sit with him, or I did and Annabeth was there too. I used to be the second best student in Greek, right next to Percy, but then she came along, and now I'm third because 'little miss perfect' is the best at everything.

And now I have to do PE against her? As if I need my self esteem lowered any more.

"Alright ladies, into the changing room," Barked Mrs. Clentus who was, as always, waiting for us outside the gymnasium.

When I got in there, I saw that Annabeth was already changing, and that she had some very noticeable scars on her body. What were they from? I put my bag down on the bench next to Charlotte Pretsy's and started to get changed.

"Who does she think she is?" I heard Charlotte say, obviously about Annabeth.

"I know right! Percy's yours," Agreed her friend (and dim-witted sidekick) Lauren. As much as I wanted to, I knew better than to join in on their conversations.

"I bet she's lying," Said Lauren reassuringly,

"Don't be an idiot, Lawren. She's got his swim jersey," Snapped back Charlotte.

"That could just be her last name," suggested Lauren.

"No, you retard! It's his," I almost felt bad for Lauren - she was, after all, just trying to be helpful.

"Ladies, lest hustle," Yelled Mrs. Clentus into the changing rooms. Charlotte huffed and rolled her eyes as we walked into the gymnasium. The boys were already in there, and so was Annabeth. They were all crowded around her and Percy. I joined them,

"Seriously dude, how did you get a girlfriend so hot?" Asked on guy,

"Hey!" protested Annabeth and Percy in unison.

"I wouldn't say that, man, she'll punch you," Percy warned. Annabeth shrugged as if to say yeah, he's right. I rolled my eyes. Seriously? This whole 'new-intelligent-modest-girl-with-a-fiery-side act' was getting kinda old.

"Okay, come on over, everyone, you can try your luck with the new girl some other time," Yelled Mr. Lucks from across the hall. All of the boys blushed a deep shade of red, and Percy clenched his jaw.

Everyone wondered over to the teachers and took a seat. I managed to snag on next to Percy, and Morgan was on the other side of him, leaving Annabeth to sit in front of. I smirked at the fact that she wasn't sitting next to him, until he started to play with her hair.

"Alright everybody! Today we will be learning sword fighting!" Mrs Clentus was never one to build suspense. Annabeth and Percy seemed to sit up a little straighter at this.

Huh.

Ah well.

"Now, does anyone here know how to sword fight already?" Mrs. Clentus asked smugly. Apparently she didn't think anyone would, because she looked as sour as a lemon when Percy and Annabeth raised their hands.

"Okay, why don't you give us a demonstration?" Asked Mr. Lucks, clearly less phased then Mrs. Clentus. Annabeth and Percy stood up and made their way to the front.

"No, Percy," Said Annabeth as he reached for his pocket. He wrinkled his nose and picked up a wooden sword from the floor, mumbling some rude words, and Annabeth following pursuit. I watched as they got into a perfect position.

After a while, Percy lunged forward and struck. Annabeth deflected it easily. For the next ten minutes, I gazed on in awe as they struck, dodged, sparred and deflected. Eventually, Percy managed to flip Annabeth's sword over her head. She caught it behind her back, but Percy already had his sword at her throat.

"Wacha gonna do now, wise girl?" He smirked. Annabeth raised an eyebrow as if to say 'are you sure you want to ask that question?'. She pulled her sword from behind her back, knocked Percy's arm out of the way momentarily, lunged forward and kissed him, full on the mouth.

Percy dropped his sword and put his hands around her waist. Annabeth, however, had other ideas. She grabbed his arm and flipped him over her shoulder. He landed with a thud on the floor. She knelt on his chest, both swords in hand,

"I win," She said, smiling. She got up and offered her hand. Slowly, everyone began to applaud. The two seemed to realise that they weren't alone and blushed a deep red,

"Very well done," Said Mr. Lucks, "Of course that doesn't always work, but it did this time," He chuckled, referring to their make-out session. This just made them blush more. After that, we were put in partners, and I was with Percy, but he kept beating me so they put him back with Annabeth. Uhh! Life is so unfair. After an hour of excruciating pain, we were finally allowed to go and change.

"Annabeth! Percy! Stay back a minute will you?" Asked Mr. Lucks as we all left. I walked into the changing rooms and went over to my things. Just then, something caught my eye. In the corner of the room, was a Goode swim team jersey.

Quickly, I walked over to it. No one was looking at me, and no one seemed to care, so I toolkit off the hook. It smelt like the ocean - Percy's signature smell. Hurriedly, I took it back to my bag and stuffed it inside.
