~Emma's POV~

I backed away a bit before looking at the boy's door then back at the blood. But I heard a crunching noise coming from the room I slowly peaked inside to see a bunch of empty and half eaten ramen bags. 'She's been eating them uncooked.' My thought bubble was interrupted by something thrown across the room. I looked at it I little more to see...

It was a cat's collar covered in blood! I felt a cold sweat running down my cheek. 'What kind of sick freak would do that?' Almost like my question had been heard a shriveled up arm reached for the blood soaked collar. 'What the hell?!' I started to slowly walk back out of the room without making a sound.

Just as took another step back, My back hit something firm. I turned my head around to see that it was the boy I met a week ago. I look to see that what my back hit was his chest. My started to flush and apparently so did the boy's, we took a step away from each other but he accidentally stepped on one of the ramen packs. "A..Ah..Som..thing..to..E-Eat...?" a weary voice cricked from the room.

My heart started to pound I looked at the boy to see that his face was no longer red but white as a sheet. I didn't know want to do so I grabbed the boy's arm and ran into my room. As soon as I close the door I locked it and ran to my desktop for my ice gun. I quickly grabbed it and told the boy to hide under the bed. My heart was beating so loud I could hardly hear the faint foot steps coming towards my door.

*Ding-Dong*

My arms started to shake I don't know what to do I'm so scared right now. 'That thing I saw...it wasn't even human.' I remember the shriveled up arm, the inhuman voice and the blood in the room​​​​​​. I suddenly heard teeth chattering behind me as I turned my gaze to the boy who was trembling and looked horrified. As soon as our eyes met for some reason my fear started to wash away. Before I even knew what I was doing I mouthed to his 'Don't worry it's gonna be okay.' And turned to the door.

"Hello,is someone there?" I recognized the voice it was from the bratty girl. "My cat is missing and...someone broke into my place." I looked at the video screen to see that is was the girl and she looked normal. "Please...You have to help me!" The girl said with tears in her eyes. Something about this didn't add up why that thing was coming towards my apartment and if she knew that someone or something thing broke into her apartment why is she asking me for help and not the police? Unless...

I walked up to the video screen and press a button on the side of it. "Excuse me but why do you want my help?" I said as calm as I could be. "Please...please help me!!" The girl pleaded. "How do you want me to help." I asked. "Please call the police for me. I, can't remember but when I woke up my door was wide open and my cat was gone...and there were blood and empty ramen bags lying around everywhere." The girl explained but that's when everything started to piece together.

"Please call the police!" The girl begged. "Hey just a quick question how come you're asking me to call the police instead of the security?" I asked confidently. That's when the girl had the 'got busted' look. "Please just open the door." My eyes widened to hear her voice was changing Not only that her appearance was also changing, she seemed to be morphing. "OPEN THE FUCK UP!!! YOU FUCKEN BITCH!!!!" the girl's eyes are turning into bloodshot and her nose started to bleeding large amounts of blood.

"I'M STARVING TO DEATH!!!" The girl shouted as I charged up my gun a loud guitar sound came above us. Oh no!! It's Jisu!

~Flashback~

"Man I can't believe that this place has thin walls! At least no one will be bothered if I make my inventions on the roof." I said to my self as I waited for the elevator carrying my brand new invention. A robotic dog 

that has the intelligence of a human and the capabilities to transform Into a bike and a weapon. All I need to do is finish up the program for him and little Max will be born.

"Woah what's that!?" I turned around to see a girl with a bobbed short hair wearing a white shirt that was lose on her shoulders and a pair of workout shorts. She was carrying a guitar bag over her shoulders. "Oh this is my new invention. His name is Max." I answered showing Max. "Wow that's freakin' awesome! So is he low on power or what?" The brunette asked as she pokes Max's snout. "No he's not finished yet. I still have to finish his programming." I answered.

"My names Emma Matthews I live One floor down." I said. "You can call me Jisu. So what are you some sort of mad scientist or something?" Jisu asked. "no I'm just a college student in the robotics program." I said with a giggle. "So you play the guitar?" I asked. "It's a bass. Right now I'm taking it to a music store to get it fixed." Jisu said with a smile. "Well if you want I can take a look at it I'm pretty good at these things." I said with pride. "Really! Whats the catch?" Jisu said with a smirk. "My price is that you teach me how to play it." I said with a smirk of my own. "Deal." Jisu said before we shook on own agreement.

~End Flashback~

I looked back at the video screen to see the girl looking up at the ceiling smiling. "F-FOOD?" She said in glee before disappearing. She's going after Jisu!!! "Hey kid!" I turn to the boy who was crawling out of the bed looking at me. "I need you to stay here and don't come out till I come back." I said as I went to get Max's switch and put it in my pocket. "Are you seriously going after that thing!" The boy asked as if I went crazy.

"That thing is going after my friend so yeah I'm going after that thing." I argued as I went straight to the door. I was about to open the door when I suddenly felt hands on my shoulders. "Don't you realize how dangerous this is?" The boy said looking me straight in the eye.

I smirked slightly. "Nothing's Fun Without A Little Danger Sprinkled Into The Adventure." I spoke proudly. I opened the door, peaking a bit to see if she was there. Nothing. She was going after Jisu. I gripped into my ice gun before slowly walking towards the stairs. I heard steps as I got closer, before it completely stopped and the lights turned on. The steps soon started again.

I trembled as it got closer. I raised my freeze ray towards the door. "Damn, the elevator's not working again. One damn thing after another!" He shouted. A tall muscular man walked out. I left my guard down before bringing it back up. "Huh? What the hell are you doing?"

"Well-" I noticed he knew who I was. "Did Mr. Kim send you? I've said this over and over again but I'll say it again. I don't work with thugs" I stared at him weirdly. "What? No I-" He chuckled. "Ha ha- I'm just fooling around, you're that new kid from apartment 1409, right?"

I nodded hesitantly. "What are you doing out here? Someone trying to rob you and you're going after them or what?" He joked around. His eyes widen before he stared at what was behind me. The blood stains. "Blood stains?" He mumbled. I flinched back before he stared at Hyun's door and the snobby girl's room. I had forgotten there were empty ramen bags there.

"What the Fuck is this?" He glared at me. "Well! It's not what you think! You see- Well-...." He stepped forward. "What the hell did you do? Huh?" I flinched back and tried to get away. "You see...what happen was-" "Quit Mumbling and speak up!" I tried to speak but the words seemed to get stuck in my throat. He stared at me before noticing my ice gun.

His eyes widen as he tried to hit me. I backed away before falling to the ground, accidentally pressing Max's button. Out of nowhere Max burst out of my room with his eyes glowing red. uh oh that means Max is in his attack mode! Max pounced the man to the ground and started to ripe the sleeve of his long sleeve shirt. I stood up as Max kept attacking him. "Sorry Sir, but you asked for this" I crouched down before punching him.

Soon enough he was knocked out. "Max, take him to our room and don't let him out no matter what. I'll be right back with Jisu" I said. Max's eyes turned yellow and bite the back of the mans collar and then drags him into the room. As I quickly ran up the stairs I heard loud banging noises coming from the floor above. I hid behind a corner with my ice gun ready to fire. But the sound suddenly stopped. I stepped out and saw the blood stains. The window was broken and Jisu's door was almost taken down. I kept my Ice gun up before Jisu opened her door. "Huh-....Uh, Huh? Emma?"

"Are you okay? Where the morphed go?" I asked before describing the bloody snobby brat. "Uh? Blood!?" She looked startled as she looked at the ground before carefully exiting her room. "What the heck is happening? Hey, have you seen the young lady who was just banging into my door? There was blood all over her face...."

"Look! She isn't a young lady, she is a monster, a morphed. Somehow she became this killing machine that only looking for anything she can eat. But don't worry I'm here to keep you safe. Come on, let's go back to my room." I said grabbing her hand before slowly walking back down to my room. We got in the room before I locked it and sighed. "Wow, I'm still thinking your a mad scientist." Jisu looked around my room. All my designs in the paper and machines, inventions and creations where scattered around.

"Hey, who's that?" Jisu asked as I looked at who she was pointing at. I suddenly notice a wallet by my feet I guess it must be the boy's. I picked it up and look what the contents were. I saw his high school ID with was a picture of him smiling in a Korean uniform. I saw what his name was "Hyun?" I whispered before walking towards him. He was in my bed, blood was coming down his nose. He was knocked out for sure. I looked at the guy who I had knocked out. He was sitting in the corner with Max growling at him. The man also had a red spot on his cheek where I had punched him. "Mr. Mobster?"

"Don't calling me that...I'm a good fella..." He said. "What in the world happened to him?" I mumbled as I looked at Hyun. He had a nosebleed. "Well..." Mr. Mobster started.
