It took some time considering they had to avoid attracting unwanted attention but at long last Daisy and Hu could see the apartment building in the distance. Sitting atop of the white tiger's shoulders, Daisy wagged her tail and barked, "Look Hu! We're almost home!" Hu purred in delight.

Sighing softly, Daisy closed her eyes and embraced the moment. It had been a long day full of constant running and the nagging feeling that you were being watched. But it was all coming to an end. Opening her eyes, she spotted some of the gang already outside the building. Looks like she wasn't the first one back but that didn't matter. She was just happy to see her friends.

"Daisy! You're back!" Leonard woofed, the first one to see the Shih Tzu riding the tiger. Everyone else looked up and greeted her. Hu sat down, allowing Daisy to slide down his back. Landing on the sidewalk gracefully, the small dog barked, "It's so good to see you guys!"

"I see you managed to find the tiger on your travels, Tulip," Pops remarked, strolling forward. Taking a seat next to Hu, Daisy replied, "Actually, Hu found me. I think he's been looking for me all day." Peering around the elderly basset hound, the Shih Tzu commented, "It seems you got Chloe and company out of the sewers."

"Ah yes, they are all safe and sound now. Right Rhonda?" Pops quipped, turning to face Chloe. Disgust was plastered all over the fat tabby's face as she groaned, "Get away from me you absolute weirdo." Without another word, the cat stalked off. Watching with love sparkling in his eyes, Pops mumbled, "So beautiful..."

"Um..." Daisy murmured, suddenly feeling like an uncomfortable third wheel, "Am I in last place?" Shaking his head, Buddy answered, "Not exactly. You are in second place."

"Really?!"

"Yeah. Mel, Chloe, Tiberius and I quit."

"Wait. We could quit?"

"That's exactly what I said!" Duke chimed in. His words were muffled by the sausage links he was consuming. Daisy was happy to see that the Newfoundland mix had finally gotten some food into his system. Looking around, she noticed that not everyone was there. "So," she began her question, "Where's Snowball, Max and Gidget?"
