10:00 p.m. No one was around. I had a baseball bat in my hand, ready for action. My three friends were not aware of what I was doing. I was going solo. The blue Porsche stood in the driveway. I took the bat and smashed it into pieces. I smashed the windshield, headlights and every part of the car.

"Hey! Hey! Stop what you are doing!" a man shouted, chasing after me.

I quickly took my bag and run as fast as my legs could carry me.

Why was I called to the principal's office? What had I done now? I saw Heather and Aaron seated as well. Oh no. I was going to be in so much trouble.

"Courtney, please take a seat", the principal said.

"Courtney, you have been called to this office many times but that is not my focus today. You are suspected to have vandalized a teacher's car. Is this yours?" he asked me, showing me a red ribbon.

"No", I replied.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

I only nodded.

"Courtney, all the evidence points to you that you committed this act. Was there anyone with you?"

"No."

"Okay. You are dismissed."

I walked out of the office feeling angry with myself. When did I become so rebellious and troublesome? Why had I chosen bad friends? What had happened to the girl who just wanted to be on her own?
