Louis is up early the next morning to get ready, he sends work a text letting them know he's caught a bug and won't be in. Jax isn't happy but Louis hasn't taken one sick day since he started so Jax really can't complain.

Louis dresses in his black slacks and shoes, a white button up that he rolls to his elbows and decides to not wear a tie. He tucks his shirt in and heads to the bathroom to try to cover up the ungodly bruise on the side of his face.

It looks as bad as it feels and is quite big and purple, going along his cheek bone. Louis has some makeup in his bathroom drawer that Vanessa, Drew's girlfriend, left last time they came to visit. It's not really his colour but it will have to do.

When he's ready to head out he grabs his drawings and orders his uber, the office is about 20 minutes from where Louis lives. When the uber pulls up Louis is gobsmacked at the building, it's incredible. It's made of stone, glass and wood panels but looks like it fits in the London countryside. It's like nothing he's ever seen before.

He gets out and can't help but stare as he makes his way to reception.

The receptionist greets him and tells him to head up to level 5, Louis gets in the expensive lift and tries to hold off his nerves as he reaches level 5. The doors open to a huge reception area, it's beautiful. The office is empty apart from someone sitting behind the reception desk.

He move towards the desk and the woman behind the desk smiles at him, she looks about 45 with blonde hair, she seems lovely.

"Hi there, you must be Louis" she says kindly.

"Um, I am " Louis says with a smile.

"It's great to meet you, I'm Lisa, take a seat and I'll go grab Noah for you, he will be doing your interview" Lisa says.

"Thank you so much" Louis replies and goes to sit down in the fancy chair.

He looks around and can't believe how gorgeous the office space is. It's no wonder HS & Wolf is one of the most prestigious companies in London.

Louis hears Lisa's heals click on the floor and he turns to face her, she smiles at him and then he sees a male come out from the corridor,  following along after her. He's mid 20's with blonde hair and brown eyes, he looks kind thankfully. He's wearing a black suit and tie and smiles widely at Louis.

"Louis, it's lovely to meet you, I'm Noah" the man says as he holds out his hand for Louis to shake.

Louis stands up and accepts Noah's hand.

"It's lovely to meet you" Louis says.

Noah then leads Louis to a board room for the interview. Louis is a little surprised by the interview, it's not really very formal and Noah doesn't ask Louis about his current company or anything. They talk about his drawings and what he would love to create and what he loves about architecture.

Louis really likes Noah, if he wasn't interviewing him, Louis would consider Noah someone he could be friends with. He seems fun and genuine, someone who you could have a laugh with but turn around and tell your secrets to. Louis doesn't know how he knows that, but it's the feeling he gets from Noah.

Noah doesn't realise how long they have actually been talking for, if he's being honest, he thinks Louis is great and could sit here talking with him for hours.

"I'll take you downstairs to reception" Noah says as he escorts Louis out of the office after the interview.

"You don't have to do that" Louis says hoping he isn't being to much of a burden.

Noah smiles widely,

"I want to" he replies

Louis smiles in return and they make it to the lift.

Louis is surprised at how well the interview went, Noah didn't ask him anything he couldn't answer, if Louis is honest it's like he already had the job and they were just going through the formality of an interview. Noah didn't mention his bruised cheek either which is a win, he must have done a good job at covering the bruise up.

"So, how long have you worked here for?" Louis asks Noah as the lift descends.

"Close to four years now, I love it, it's a fantastic place to work" Noah says smiling.

"Do you draw?" Louis asks.

"Nothing like you, that's for sure. I'm Harry and Scott's personal assistant, they've been teaching me a few things but I don't have a degree in architecture or anything" Noah says smiling.

Louis mouth hangs open for a second before he tries to compose himself, Harry and Scott?

"I'm sorry, did you say Harry and Scott?" Louis confirms.

Noah smiles

"Yes, Harry Styles and Scott Wolf, I work directly for the owners of the company" Noah tells him.

Louis tries to control his breathing, he can't believe this, he's made a huge dick of himself in front of Noah and Harry and Scott. He remembers back to the conversation he had with Harry and Scott in the car on the way to Holmes Chapel, they must think he's a douche for not knowing they own the company he's been dreaming of working at.

"Well Louis, it was wonderful to meet you, I'll be in touch" Noah says as they exit the foyer.

"Thanks so much Noah, it was great to meet you" Louis tells him.

They say their goodbyes and Louis walks out into the London streets feeling like he completely fucked up and the only reason he even got a call up was because he slept with Harry and Scott. He feels useless and used and just wants to hurry home and never speak to Harry and Scott again.

"How did the interview go?" Harry asks as Noah walks back up into Harry and Scott's office.

"Great, he is super talented and a really nice guy" Noah tells them.

"You were in their a while" Harry says.

"Yeah, we actually got along great, he was great to talk to" Noah tells them.

"So he would be an asset to the team?" Scott asks.

"He would give some of your senior designers a run for their money, his ideas are brilliant and his creativity is next level" Noah says.

Harry and Scott smile brightly.

"Send him the offer in about an hour?" Harry says.

"Sure" Noah tells them smiling.

He goes to leave but before he reaches the door he turns around.

"One more thing, I don't know if it's anything and I don't want to spread any false narratives or anything like that, especially before Louis even starts here. But," Noah says uneasily.

Harry and Scott look towards one another warily, before looking back at Noah.

"But?" Scott asks.

"But, he had a massive bruise on his cheek, it was full on purple. He tried to hide it with makeup but it was to big. I didn't mention it or ask about it or anything, I Didn't want to make him uncomfortable. But it was pretty fresh and I just thought I should mention it" Noah tells them.

Harry and Scott's stomachs sink,

"Thanks Noah, we will definitely keep an eye on that" Harry tells him.

Noah leaves the office and Harry and Scott look towards each other.

"Something's definitely not sitting right with me" Scott tells Harry.

"My gut is telling me something is wrong for sure, I know he doesn't want to see us, but maybe we should call him or something" Harry says.

Scott's thinks about Harry's words before he's speaking.

"Let's just wait until he accepts the job and then we can call him, maybe ask him out for dinner. We are going to have to tell him we own the company before he starts work" Scott says.

"You're right, let's aim to call him when we get home tonight then" Harry says.

Scott agrees and they go back to work, excited at the possibility of being close to Louis again. As much as they have both tried over the last few weeks. They just can't get Louis out of their mind, the need to be close to him grows everyday and sometimes they can't even concentrate on work, their mind consumed with thoughts of Louis. 

The night they spent with him was so special to them both and the fact Louis opened up as much as he did to them has to mean something. They both want Louis in their life and their relationship, they want to give him the space he's asked for however they also want to show him they are serious about him and want to pursue something with him.

Scott and Harry vow to be there for Louis and to get to the bottom of the bruise, there is definitely something within their guts that tells them it wasn't an accident and they haven't even seen it yet. They also know they will hurt anyone who even thinks about putting their hands on Louis. The protection they feel for him is not something they have ever experienced before and they won't let him get hurt ever again.
