Jake looked at Catherine
"Well did you?"
Catherine sighed and explained what happened the day before. Jake tensed up and was quite for a few seconds before saying
"We need to tell him."
Natalie tried to say something, but her parents were to caught up with their own conversation to notice. So Natalie walked to her sisters room and grabbed her phone. When she turned it on she saw her sister had multiple missed calls and texts from Taylor and Luke. After a few seconds Natalie decided to call Taylor first. After two rings Taylor picked up.
"Girl, thank goodness, you scared me! Are you ok?"
Natalie sighed before saying,
"Taylor this isn't Katelyn. We were in a really bad car accident yesterday. Katelyn is still in the hospital."
The other side was quite for a few seconds then Taylor asked
"Is she ok? Are you ok? Do you know if anyone has told Luke?"
Before Taylor could ask another question Natalie interrupts,
"I don't know, I wasn't allowed to see her. I'm ok I just have a broken arm, and I was going to tell him after I told you."
"You don't need to tell him sweetheart. I will, you take care of yourself and go rest. I'll go see Katelyn tomorrow, ok?"
Taylor said as she remembered that Natalie is only eleven and shouldn't have to tell anyone what happened. Natalie said ok as she hung up the phone and walked down stairs to ask her mother for pain meds. Since her arm had started hurting again. When she got down stairs her parents were still talking.
"Mommy, I know you and daddy are talking, but my arm hurts really bad."
She said as tears were forming in her eyes. Catherine nodded her head,
"Come here princess, the doctor said you would need more medicine after a few hours."

She said as she handed Natalie a couple of pain pills and some juice.

"Thanks mom, I'm going to go take a nap. Love you."

She said as she walked to her room.

"I swear she grew up over night."

Jake said as they watched their daughter walk away.

"She's the one that called for help, since Katelyn was knocked unconscious on impact."

 Jake sighs before he asks, 

"should I go talk to her?"

Catherine smiles sadly before she says,

"Wait an hour or two. She barely slept at the hospital."

 Jake nodded his head then hugged his wife. Then kissed her forehead.

"I'm going to the hospital to see Katelyn."

He said as he grabbed his keys. Catherine nods her head as Jake walks out the door.

At the hospital Jake walks to Katelyn's room and slowly opens the door. When the door opens he sees Luke sitting next  to the bed talking to her. Jake clears his throat and Luke looks up.
