Katelyn wasn't sure on what to do, so she decided to drive home. When she pulled into the driveway she called her mom. After explaining what happened her mom told her that she would pick up her sister. After ending the call Katelyn climbed out of the truck and walked inside. After stopping in the kitchen for some rocky road ice cream she walked to her room and crawled into bed.

An hour and one movie later Katelyn finally had enough courage to check her phone, and she had two missed calls from Taylor and five missed calls from Luke. She rolled her eyes and decided to call Taylor back first. After two rings Taylor answered the phone,
"Hey girl, what wrong? And don't say nothing because I saw Luke and he looks horrible."
Katelyn sighs then explains what happened.
"Boys are so dumb, but don't worry I'm sure Luke will come to his senses."
Taylor said as Katelyn smiled and then said,
"I hope so, we've never really had an argument like this before."
"I know girl, but I got to go do homework. So my parents don't yell again."
Taylor responded and ended the phone call.

Katelyn had just started another movie when she heard her mom and sister walk into the house. She heard some one start coming up the stairs, but she really didn't want to talk to anyone. A few seconds later her mom came into the room.
"Honey are you ok, wanna talk about it?"
She asks as she sat down next to her.
"Not really mom, but maybe after dinner?"
Katelyn asked in a questioning tone. Her  mom nods her head as she stood up.
"Ok sweetheart, I'm going to go start dinner and check on your sister. It should be done in an hour or so."
She says as she walks out the door. Katelyn snuggles back into her bed and continues the movie.

An hour later Katelyn slowly crawls out of bed and walks down stairs to the kitchen.
"Sis are you ok?"
Natalie asks as she runs over and hugs her.
"Yeah, I'm ok. Luke just made me really upset earlier."
Katelyn says as she sits down at the table.
"Boys are really dumb sometimes. Wanna go mudding after dinner? You always smile then."
Natalie says as she gives her sister the puppy dog eyes. Katelyn looks over a their mom who has been listening the entire time.
"Ok, just be home before ten."
Catherine says as she puts dinner on the table. Both of the girls say thank you before they start eating.

After dinner Natalie ran up stairs to grab her hat and boots.
"I wish I loved it here as much as her."
Katelyn said sadly as she put her boots on.
"Well you were born by the ocean, then we had to leave four years later when your dad got the job here."
Catherine said as Natalie came back into the kitchen.
"Mommy can we please stay out till eleven since it's Friday? I've also barely seen Katelyn all week."
Natalie asks while giving her the same look she gave Katelyn earlier. Catherine rolled her eyes and smiled knowing the girls have seen each other a lot this week.
"You can stay out till ten-thirty and that's final."
Catherine says as she hands Katelyn the truck keys.
