Chapter Thirty- Home

Diana's POV

My fingers twitched a bit and I groaned feeling a burning sensation arising in my torso. My blurry vision cleared showing our bedroom. I tried to sit up failing miserably letting a hiss slip its way out of my plump lips. Someone shuffled on the bed next to me and I saw Luca sleeping peacefully with his mouth slightly open. He had nothing but pants on, a large hole taking place of where his scars were from Theo.

A loud snore made me wince in fear especially since it wasn't Luca or me...what the f*ck? I raised my head a tiny bit seeing bodies scattered all over our bedroom floor, all of them sleeping next to each other. I squinted a little bit to get a better look through the darkroom to see who it was.

"Diana?" A hushed voice spoke.

I blinked at least a dozen times trying to make an attempt to see who it was. Jade came into full view of her hand over her heart. She tiptoed her way to me engulfing me into a hug.

"Oh my goodness you're okay. You woke up," Her voice was strained from crying so much.

I put one arm around her patting her lower back.

"What's going on? What happened?"

I couldn't remember anything, my memories were so fuzzy and every time I tried to think of something my head felt like a bomb exploded in my brain, it hurt so much. Jade only spoke in a hushed tone so no one else would wake up,

"You almost died. You and Luca almost died!" She squeaked.

It was loud enough to have a few bodies jolt up and off of the floor also known as Blake, Hayden, James, and Matt. Woah, wait...when did Hayden and Matt get here...When did Jade get here? A small memory unlocked reminding me that they weren't supposed to be here. They were ordered to go back to Utah.

"Jade? What's wron-Diana!" Hayden rushed to see me. Matt, James, and Blake all followed behind him.

James went to turn on our bedroom lights which nearly blinded me as I felt nothing but stinging in my irises. Everyone who was sleeping soon awoke from the sudden light hitting them. Luca groaned next to me rubbing his eyes before waking up.

"Luca? Oh, Luca!" Jade went to the other side of the bed helping him sit up a tiny bit. Luca saw me and he teared up slowly reaching out for me. He was taken aback seeing me awake. Luca put his head on my bum scooting closer so she was clinging onto me.

"You're alive, you woke up." He said through silent cries.

Everyone was now awake watching Luca hug me not letting go for a second as if I would have vanished as soon as he would have. I wrap my arms around him letting him sulk in his thoughts for a little bit. He pulled me into his lap leaving lingering kisses all over my neck and chest. His wet cheeks stuck to my toffee skin as he rested his head between my collarbone and jaw right where my mark was. I felt a pair of arms wrap around us, then another pair, and another until every single person in the room came to create a large group hug.

Jade and Hayden were the first to hold us, then it was the Betas (Yes, even Matt), Aiden and Alex followed after. Daniel shoved the Gammas out of the way wanting to get in the middle of the love session. Then it was Brady and Mia. My entire family was here.

When they pulled apart I shivered at the breeze from being exposed. Luca seemed to take notice as he wrapped the duvet sheets around us making sure to warm me up as much as possible. I smiled at his concern kissing his cheek with my crusty lips. Gross.

"You're here, you made it home. I can't believe I almost lost you...I don't know what I would have done if you didn't wake up I would have died from heartbreak. Diana, I am so sorry for everything. It's all my fault," Luca blamed himself letting the tears pour out freely. I wiped them with my thumbs resting my forehead against his. He hiccupped a tiny bit of his warm breath touching my dry lips. God, I needed chapstick.

He closed his eyes leaning in slowly. His soft lips melted onto mine making my knees go weak and the blood rushing to areas. My body felt a surge of energy when he kissed me. When he pulled away he gasped for air,

"I love you too,"

I raised an eyebrow.

"When you were bleeding in the forest, the last words you told me were 'I love you,' and I never got to say it back because you-you," I shushed him knowing it was hard for him to relive the memory, "that was two weeks ago," he said.

Two weeks ago? I had been asleep for two weeks? No wonder he was worried, it concerned me, even more, knowing that he probably didn't leave the room to eat or drink anything.

"It's not your fault, whatever happened was NOT your fault. Look, I'm here now and I am not going anywhere alright? I will be by your side now and forevermore. Without you, I have no place to go, no home. You complete me, okay?" I turned to stare at the group bordering our king-sized bed, "I am not leaving any of you. Besides, what would the Alpha King do without his Luna Queen?"

Luca shook his head pushing me up off of his lap so he could adjust the covers around us, "His heart would ache for the rest of his days' alive mourning over the love of his life, he would die."

It physically pained me when he said that.

"Alright, we will let you two catch up for a little bit, why don't we all go back to our rooms and get some good rest on beds? I'm sure the two weeks of sleeping on the wooden floor wasn't the best idea," said Aiden.

He scratched the back of his right hand that had a bandage wrapped around it neatly. He headed toward the door and everyone followed him like a stampede all hoping to fit through the door at once. Luca never let go of me, not once. He laid his back onto the bed and I laid on top of him avoiding to rest my head on his chest as best I could due to the hole in his chest.

"What happened?" I whispered, feathering my finger all over the hole. It didn't seem to hurt him one bit. It was healing quickly.

"Gunshot." It was all he said.

The morning quickly came and the Packhouse was louder than ever. I heard multiple voices outside of our room talking about all sorts of stuff. I reached out for Luca not feeling him in bed next to me. It was like the universe heard me, he walked out of the bathroom aggressively rubbing his head with a white towel to dry it as much as possible.

I let out a small yawn stretching what I could in the easiest way possible so I wouldn't hurt myself. My hands went to the hems of my plain shirt attempting to pull it over my head. There was no way I could. Luca dropped the towel and dashed to help me easily taking the shirt off without hurting me.

I saw that I was in his boxers and decided to keep them on leaving my entire top half completely exposed to him. He hummed in appreciation causing me to roll my eyes at his horniness. I could barely walk, did he really think I was able to do anything else? He went to his drawer taking out a black t-shirt bringing it back to me. Luca put it on for me, feathering a light peck on my shoulder.

"Are you ready to go downstairs and get something to eat? It's been a while since you had anything to eat,"

I nodded in agreement swinging my legs to the side of the bed standing up but falling as soon as I tried. Luca caught me before I slammed my body into the floor. He hooked his arm under my legs, picking me up and walking to the door. He struggled to open the doorknob and I giggled opening it for him. His face was elongated showing that he was thinking about something.

"Huh,"

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing just got a feeling of Deja Vu." He replied.

We headed downstairs and the first thing I witnessed was Brady, Mia, Frankie, and Daniel sitting in the living room holding up both of their hands. Mia's lips were puckered as she made an effort to come up with a question.

"Hmm, never have I ever broke something expensive in the Packhouse,"

Almost all of their fingers went down except for Brady who shrugged his shoulders convincing himself that he had never destroyed anything in our house. I scoffed shaking my head at him.

"You liar!" Mia shouted, "There has to be SOMETHING you've destroyed in the Packhouse! What about when you and Matt were fighting?"

He frowned shaking his head disagreeing once again, "Nope, I just slammed him into the wall, but nothing was broken."

Their voices faded when Luca carried me into the kitchen to see the dining table full of dishes and towers of unhealthy breakfast. My stomach rumbled when I saw all of the food. He put me down in a chair then took a seat next to me.

I licked my lips getting ready to eat. Luca took a pancake folding it in fours and shoving it all into his mouth at once. I took a bit a piece of bacon biting into it moaning at the taste that touched my tongue. I was about to take another bite when someone threw some eggs at me. I gasped glaring at the person who did it. Aiden and Blake gulped with fear pointing at one another,

"He did it!" They blamed one another.

Luca was about to take a bite of another pancake but I took it from his hand throwing in Blake's face. Monica walked in bursting out in fits of laughter seeing the syrup dripping off of her mate's face. I grabbed a clean plate from the table piling up as much food as I could.

"Honey, can we please eat outside? It's a little crowded in here," I requested.

Luca picked me up again without hesitation taking me out into the backyard where Hayden, Matt, Alex, and James were tossing a football to one another having a deep conversation. Matt threw the ball into James'...balls making him let out a roar of pain.

"Do you want to go out to the front?" Luca asked me when he saw the four.

I sway my head letting him know I was okay with being out here. He sat me down on the soft ground taking a seat next to me stealing some food off of my plate. Luca looked up at the sky just watching the clouds move.

Lena and Jade were doing yoga a few feet away from the boys having a conversation of their own. I chuckled to myself laying my head on Luca's stomach. His hands twirled pieces of my hair as I took another piece of bacon eating it watching the clouds with him.

I let out a laugh pointing to a cloud that looked like a wolf,

"Look it's Jay!"

Luca snorted making stupid remarks about how it was too small. I dosed off cutting out his rants just thinking about how great everything was going. Even through all of the bad, we were able to fight our way out to find the silver lining.

Here I was with my mate watching the clouds as our family was here with us making memories. It all finally felt right. We had gone through all the shit in the world to get to all of the good. As I said, everything happens for a reason.
