07 | utapri | syo + nagi
The cute smol children have united for a oneshot! I don't know why but I really love Nagi like it's a problem how much this lil asshat of an idol has been growing on me ;-; It's probably because of his cute interaction with Shion in the anime- but either way I'm losing my sanity xD And then there's Syo LUL This came in as a request from a dear friend of mine so I hope you like it hun ^^ Also sorry for the week late update? School has been killer, depression hit me like a brick wall crashing down, and then health issues popped up too so writing was kinda put on a backburner for the last week or so lol but I should be back to updating weekly so all is well now.~

White Day brings plenty of surprises as does Valentine's Day; confessions, chocolate, awkward first dates, and much more. It's the perfect time for guys to confess and propose to the girls and guys of their dreams for a chance at having their feelings reciprocated- or at the very least accepted or possibly rejected if it's bad enough but that's beyond the point here! White Day is a wonderful day, especially if you're someone who just so happens to work with many famous idols.
"____-chan!"
I didn't get a chance to even look up at the tall blonde before I was scooped up into a tight embrace, being spun around and everything and really, this is just Natsuki's usual way of greeting me nowadays.
"Natsuki! How many times have I told you not to pick me up?" I asked with a laugh, the tall blonde gently placing me back down onto the ground.
Offering me a sheepish smile, Natsuki rubbed the back of his neck as he chuckled. "I'm sorry, you're just too cute to resist ___-chan." He responded honestly. "Actually, I came to ask you if maybe you'd want to go out to dinner with me tonight?"
My eyes widened some at that. "I'm actually meeting up with Nagi tonight to discuss his new solo song together. I'm sorry Natsuki, maybe another night."
The tall blonde's smile never faltered despite my soft rejection. "Ah it's no problem! Will you be with Nagi all night though?" He asked. "We could always go out for a late dinner or just a walk. I really wanted to talk to you today..."
"Maybe another night. Nagi and I usually spend quite a while discussing his song concepts since he's so young and all. By the time I'm done with Nagi, it'll be late and all I'll want to do is sleep before I wake up for work tomorrow morning." I said with a laugh. "I actually need to head off to Raging Entertainment. I'll see you around, Natsuki."
"A-Alright. Good luck with your song ___!" He said, smile looking a little forced as his shoulders slouch.
Hugging my journal close to my chest, I made my way down the street, feeling slightly bad for rejecting one of my idols so quickly. Actually, that's just one of the many rejections I've had to make today in total! Everyone came seemingly out of the woodworks and bam I had idols coming left and right to offer me chocolate, candy, roses, promises of fun dates, and even a couple teddy bears (one of them coming from Kira and another from Eiichi which was quite the surprise earlier). I don't know what it is about White Day, but all of these idols seem to be quite determined to get their feelings across even though the idea of a composer and their idol falling in love is nothing less of a taboo in this industry.
They must be crazy to truly be pursuing me like this...
Continuing down the street, I stopped at a stop light and waited for the green light to turn red so I could walk again.
I mean, it's not that I'm not flattered by all this because I am; truly, I am! It's so nice to see my idols showing their appreciation for my work and kindness and holding our individual relationships so closely to their hearts, but it's not like we can do anything about our feelings if I did return those feelings of love for any of them. It's almost saddening to see them so determined to win me over when I either don't like them or I simply accept the fact we can never be together- or both!
Raging entertainment was surprisingly lively tonight as I walked in, the time nearing eight in the afternoon now. Plenty of staff members came rushing by, saying something about Raging Ootori wanting for HE☆VENS to have a comeback even though they're currently working on solo projects and whatnot. Sounds like things are only going to be getting more hectic from here on out for these boys from the looks of it.
Unsurprisingly, HE☆VENS was found in their large practice room which has its walls made out of a thick, very nearly fully soundproof glass. They didn't notice me as they focused on their rehearsal while I quietly opened the door and slipped inside, standing off to the side in order to not get in the way of their practice. Though when Shion caught sight of me in the reflection of the large mirror, said practice came to a quick halt and Eiichi announced for a much needed ten-minute break.
"It's nice to see you again ___." Eiji said, the first to walk up with a sweet smile gracing his lips, the other members grabbing water bottles and hand towels before coming over to greet me as well.
"Likewise, it feels like centuries have passed since I've last seen you all here together at Raging Entertainment." I mused, Eiichi naturally coming to stand beside me as the rest of his bandmates stand in front of us. "I usually only ever see you seven together on music and variety shows nowadays."
"We'd do more if Raging would let us!" Nagi said with an exaggerated pout, my heart warming at the cute and childish action. "But he doesn't take us seriously at all! We're working so hard and for what? To never get the freedom to really show our fans what we're capapble of? The nerve of some people."
Shion gently patted the thirteen-year-olds head while Van laughed at his outburst, trying to calm their youngest member some. "It's alright Nagi, we'll get our turn in the spot light soon enough."
I nodded in agreement. "Of course you guys will! I'll fight for each of you if I have to in order to make Raging give you all a real chance at standing on stage with ST☆RISH and Quartet Night again. Anything I can do to help you seven reach your dreams, I'll do without a second of hesitation."
"This is why you're my favorite person ___!" Nagi said, throwing his arms around my waist and burying his face into the crook of my neck and everything.
Laughing, I hugged this young idol back. "That reminds me," I paused as I glanced up to Eiichi, "Nagi and I need to go and finalize his solo song concept, you don't mind if I steal him for the rest of the night do you?"
The makeshift leader of this boy band pushed up his glasses with a single finger as he looked down at me, a smirk dancing across his lips. "Only if you promise me you'll rethink my date offer."
"You know love is forbidden."
"Then I guess you and Nagi won't be discussing your song together."
Kira walked past us and over to the practice rooms door. Silently, he opened it and looked to me expectantly.
"See, Kira gets it." I mused as I gently untangled Nagi's arms from around my waist and made my way over to the door, thanking the tall black haired idol as I did so. "I'll be seeing you boys another time then. Work and practice hard!"
"Come back and visit any time, cutie!" Van called after myself, him bringing me an assortment of chocolates only a couple hours ago while I was working with Masato.
"Oi, don't be a stranger." Yamato then yelled, he too coming to crash one of my meetings that just so happened to be with his older brother (that wasn't the best of encounters...).
Nagi happily came skipping out of the practice room, Eiichi shooting him a warning glance as Kira closed the door behind the young idol and myself. The rest of HE☆VENS simply watched as the two of us disappeared around the corner to a nearby hallway, all of them secretly jealous of the fact their youngest member, a thirteen-year-old no less, get's the privilege of spending White Day with their beloved composer while they're all stuck practicing until some ungodly hour of the night...
Overall, working with Nagi in a quiet practice room deeper within Raging entertainment is a surprisingly enjoyable experience. You'd think what with him being so young that he wouldn't take being an idol seriously but that's quite the opposite actually. His age only serves to push him harder to prove himself to everyone that he is a serious idol and will work hard for not only his fans but for his bandmates as well. Nagi is one of the idols I love working with most in all honestly. His determination is nothing short of inspiring and the fact he can be so determined and yet hold onto his young childlike charm is refreshing.
Pulling on my coat before stepping outside the front doors to Raging Entertainment with my journal in hand, I couldn't help but smile some as the moon shone down brightly from between the clouds rolling by. Nagi followed my gaze as he also came out to say goodbye for tonight. "You know ___, if I didn't know any better, I'd totally confess to you right now." He said without an ounce of hesitation.
I couldn't help but laugh at his ability to say whatever happens to be on his mind. "Nagi, if you were a little older and not an idol I work for then maybe I would accept."
The young boy chuckled some at that as he pulled something out of his jackets deepset pockets. "I figured as much which is why I didn't go and do anything stupid like the rest of my bandmates did." He scoffed. "Instead, I thought this was more appropriate," he said as he held out a small black box, "here."
"A necklace?" I asked as I gently took the small box from his hands and opened it only to find a small diamond encrusted treble clef pendant necklace shimmering up at me, the gemstones catching the moonlight beautifully. Glancing back up to Nagi, I tilted my head to the side some. "I thought you just said you weren't going to do something stupid like your bandmates?"
With a shrug, Nagi looked to me with an innocent smile. "I'm not confessing anything. Take this as a token of my appreciation for all the hard work that you do-"
"___!"
My eyes widened some as I saw a short blonde running towards us from down the street, his fedora managing to just barely stay atop his head despite him running at full speed towards us. Nagi visibly grew annoyed with the sudden appearance of this other idol; an idol he considers to be his rival no less.
Syo came to a screeching halt just beside Nagi, hands placed on his knees as he struggled to catch his breath. "I thought, I missed you... again." He huffed out, flashing me a bright and giddy grin as he looked up. "But I finally caught up to you." The blonde then said as he managed to stand back up, already seemingly recovered from running all the way here from god knows where. "You just never stay in one place now do you ___?"
"It's been a busy day." I responded easily.
Nagi rolled his eyes as he didn't even bother sparing the ST☆RISH member a single glance. "And why are you here?" He asked with a huff.
"Because I want to give my composer a special gift for White Day." Syo responded, never once looking to the young idol as he focuses his attention solely on me.
Neither Nagi nor myself had a second to question this blonde idol before he quickly closed the distance between us and full on kissed me. The kiss was quick, short-lived, and yet still amazing. I have to give Syo some credit here because out of the twenty or so idols that have confessed and given me gifts today, none of them have had the confidence to straight up kiss me.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Nagi asked as he forcefully grabbed Syo's shoulder and pulled him off me, my eyes still widened as I carefully hold Nagi's necklace for myself in the palms of both my hands.
Syo chuckled as he took a step back and gave me some space. "Told you, I was giving her my special gift." He said as he offered me a bright smile. "I had the best gift, right ___?"
I blinked once, then twice, then a third time as I flicked my eyes between my two idols before shaking my head and turning around to start walking away towards the nearby bus stop. "It was definitely a gift to remember," I responded, "I'll be leaving first, goodnight you two."
"___, wait!"
"Just let her go. Don't you think you did enough for the night?"
"I thought she liked me back."
"Oh my god- you're blind."
Smiling, I looked down to Nagi's necklace before reaching up and gently tracing over my lips. The two best presents for sure go to Nagi and Syo. Though I expected as much. They're always so nice and caring and maybe a little pushy with their feelings and actions here and there, but they always mean well.
Then again, a kiss from Syo and such a thoughtful gift from Nagi were undoubtedly unexpected. Gosh, neither of them are making this decision any easier now are they?
How am I supposed to go figuring out which one of them I like more when they're both just so damn perfect?

Written while Listening to: "HIKARI" by Morikubo Showtaro (he voices Utapri Reiji, Dialovers Shin, Naruto's Shikamaru, Hakuoki's Souji, and many more amazing characters.~) I'm a huge fan of Morikubo's singing career lol his voice is just perfect whether it's for anime's, otome games, his own songs- anything really xD I'm trash for him and I accept my fate as such...
p.s this turned into my longest oneshot yet and i don't know how that happened omg now i gotta write long oneshots for like everyone from here on out- why did i do this to myself ahhhhhhhhhh
