"Is this really the right amount of vegetable oil to put in..?"
"I assume so, she's the one who poured it into the measuring cup."
Smiling innocently over to the two idols, I continued mixing my bowl of chocolate brownie mix. "Have either of you ever made a cake before? I mean, the box has instructions on it and you both are pretty smart." I mused. "I don't get why you guys are having so much trouble with this." I then laughed.
Tokiya scoffed at that. "I'll have you know, I'm a great cook."
"As am I." Masato tacked on.
I glanced to the two of them from over my shoulder before turning back to my large bowl filled with the slowly coming together brownie mix. "I'm sure you both are amazing in the kitchen." I teased.
It's Natsuki and Syo's birthday's today and while those two along with the other ST☆RISH members are off completing some last minute schedules, Masato, Tokiya, and I have been tasked with baking them a cake and other desserts as well as setting up the dining room with decorations for our small little birthday party! Cecil would have stayed behind to help out actually, but him and Camus had to head off to a photo shoot together so he'll be showing up to the party around the same time as everyone else, leaving me alone with the two stoic members.
Back at Saotome, these two were so quiet and standoffish and just, wow, they've come a long way. They're still stoic, kinda awkward too, but it's cute. The two of them have grown so much since our school days and it's amazing to be able to stay by their sides as they evolve into amazing idols with the potential to even surpass their seniors! Though, I must admit that no matter how cool and collected they seem, there's no getting around the fact that they're absolutely hopeless when it comes to baking a two simple cakes.
"That's not how you crack an egg."
"Says who?"
"Says me. Here, let me do it-"
"Those are my eggs, Masato."
"Yes, but you're about to break all of them, Tokiya."
Sparing the two idols another glance over my shoulder, I couldn't help but laugh as they somehow managed to drop not one, not two, but four eggs right out of the carton! The poor little eggs fell to the floor and splattered at the feet of those "cool" idols, both Masato and Tokiya looking down at the broken eggs with blank expressions. "Do you two need help?" I asked, continuing to finish mixing up the brownie mix as I walked over to the two idols. "Or do you want to continue holding onto your pride and ruining these cakes?"
Masato sighed as he looked to me with a defeated slouch to his posture. "Can I please be in charge of the brownies? Neither of us are fit for this job."
Tokiya walked over to the sink to grab some paper towels, quickly cleaning up the cracked and splattered eggs before any of us manage to slip and truly hurt ourselves. "For as much as I cook, I've never really had to do this much cooking on my own..." The navy haired idol muttered dejectedly.
"It's okay, I'll help you guys after that mess you both made is cleaned up." I said, handing Masato the fully mixed brownie mix. "All you gotta do is pour this batter into the brownie pan. I already buttered it and everything so really, all you have to do is pour it."
With a new look of determination, Masato set off to do just that. And thankfully he didn't spill any of the brownie batter in the process...
These two are hopeless on their own.
After a few more hours had passed, Masato, Tokiya, and I finally managed to finish off all of our deserts for today's birthday boys. For as lost as these two idols are in actually cooking, they're surprisingly great at decorating desserts. The two of them had full control on adding icing to the two cakes we baked as well as to the cupcakes and even went ahead and added sprinkles, different colored icing to make intricate designs, and arranged the candles on the cakes to make musical notes! They really kicked it up a notch to make up for them not helping much in the cooking phase and I'm more than impressed with them. And it's even cuter how they keep showing me their creations, looking for praise as well as trying to out do one another.
"So, who do you think did the better job?" Masato asked, glancing between Tokiya and myself before offering me a small smile.
I leaned against the dining room table as Tokiya finished bringing out the last of the cupcakes, setting them down on the already pretty filled table. We had to bake a lot of sweets considering all of ST☆RISH can eat enough for thirty people I swear...
"She's clearly going to choose me." Tokiya said with a confident smile. "I don't see why you'd even ask something we all know the answer to."
"Someone's competitive." I mused. It's been a while since I last saw Tokiya this fired up about anything, let alone baking desserts.
The navy haired idol looked to me as his confident smile softened into something much more warming. "Am I wrong?" He asked sweetly.
I looked between the two cakes, Masato decorating Syo's while Tokiya took on Natsuki's, and pretended to ponder over his question. But I already have my answer so really, there little competition was all for nothing.
"You both did really well." I decided on saying, my smile widening. "But I think the real winner here is me for having to keep you two from destroying everything in the kitchen."
Tokiya stared at me for a moment before shaking his head. "Of course you'd say that."
Masato turned away from myself, shoulders once again slouching as he mumbles something under his breath. I couldn't help but to laugh at the desolate blue haired idol, walking over to him and forcing him into a hug even though everyone knows Masato absolutely despises hugs with a burning passion. "It's okay Masa, you did great decorating Syo's cake."
I could hear the blue haired idols heart beginning to race and thump harshly against his chest where I have my head resting. "I, um- t-thank you, ___..." Masato managed to stutter out, his brain shutting down as he stands stiff as a board, not making any move to return my hug.
Pulling away from the poor stunned-into-stone idol, I glanced over to Tokiya only to see him looking away looking a little jealous. "Do you want a hug too Toki?" I asked with a laugh as I made my way over to him, Masato still too stunned to do much of anything right now other than place a hand over his chest, most probably in a vain attempt at making his heart slow down before he gives himself a heart attack.
"I do not need a hug." Tokiya said as he refused to look at me. "I know you liked my cake better so I'm not hurt."
"Of course you aren't." I mused, wrapping my arms around the tall navy haired idol from behind, his body going stiff as I happily hug this cold idol. Tokiya on the other hand didn't say anything as he awkwardly stood there like a stone statue, not moving an inch while I hug him.
Sparing these two awkward idols, I pulled back from Tokiya and walked back into the kitchen. "Snap out of it you two! We still have to put up the decorations before everyone comes back.~" I sang.
From the dining room, I could hear both Masato and Tokiya stumbling around, most definitely blushing up a storm as they hurry to grab the streamers and balloons and whatnot while I get to work on cleaning up in the kitchen. Though when I heard a chair crash to the ground and Tokiya cursing, I couldn't help but laugh as Masato came walking into the kitchen to ask me where he should hang up the streamers, his mind clearly still fried from my hug.
These two are too much and honestly, they make it too obvious that they have a crush on myself. I can't help but to tease them for their cute lil crushes.~

As always, thank you so much for the request love! I hope you liked this as much as I loved writing it.~ And to anyone else wanting to request, go back to the info chapter and request there <3 thanks for reading this lil oneshot. <3
