Final ROH Match Part 1

~With Marc~

Saturday before I wrestle for AEW, I gotta wrestle my last match in Ring of Honor. I asked Hikaru if she was interested in seeing what I can do, even though I'm gonna put over Eli Isom, a young up-and-coming talent in ROH. She said sure and we were in Madison Square Garden for that particular event.

When we got to MSG, it was magical, because not only will it be my last match in Ring of Honor, it's also the last time I'll be in the greatest sports arena in the world.

In the men's locker room, a lot of my friends, Jay Lethal, Marty Scurll, Flip Gordon, Jonathan Gresham, and Jeff Cobb, they were a bit emotional because I won't be back to ROH for the time being.

Jeff: Can't believe you're leaving.

Me: I know, but I'll be back. I don't know when, but I hope someday AEW and Ring of Honor can a negotiation and we get to work together.

Jay: Man, I agree. I want to work for AEW, but with ROH in a frenzy, I don't know.

Me: Well, we just need to have some faith that'll happen.

Eli came over to see me and I gotta say, he's the nicest kid ever. He always makes every match he's in almost an action-packed movie, whether it's a twenty minute match or a thirty minute match, he always steals the show no matter what. Not to mention he's in his mid-twenties, which is pretty incredible considering that Eli's athletic and carries a lot of charisma to the ring.

Eli: You ready for tonight?

Me: . I will miss Ring of Honor, but I will thrive in AEW.

Eli: What are the plans for tonight's match?

Me: I put you over in my last match.

Eli: That's the plan. See you out there?

Me: Absolutely.

As he was walking away, I asked Eli to come here once more.

Me: Eli.

He looked back at me and I had to say the most passionate line I've ever said.

Me: It will be an honor to put you over, signor.

He smirked and offered a fist bump. I had to connect because this is my last match in ROH.

Shida came in the locker room to check on me, and some of the guys were a little jealous because she came to see me before the match.

Hikaru: Are you doing okay? You seem a bit emotional.

Me: I am. My stint in ROH is coming to an end, I have to be emotional.

Hikaru: I can't blame you. Listen, I have no problem driving you back home once it's over. As your friend, I'm happy to do it.

Me: Really? Then what was that kiss on my cheek the other day about? I thought we agreed not to express our feelings until we know for sure we're having a relationship?

Hikaru: That's true, but I can't hold myself any longer. Marc, I like you.

She likes me? As in "like" like?"

Me: What?

Hikaru: Marc, I like you too much to the point I can't hold it in any longer.

Me: I like you too, but can't we do this another time? I don't mean it in a rude way, I just don't feel comfortable doing it here.

Hikaru seemed offended, but she knew I didn't mean to be rude.

Hikaru: I understand, Marc. We can talk about it later. Right now, I'll let you be ready.

Me: Thanks Hikaru. See you after the match?

Hikaru: Yep. Also...

Me: Yeah?

Hikaru kissed my cheek again and I blushed hard. When she walked away, with a wink, from the locker room, some of the guys were "oohing" at me.

Jeff: I thought you said she was a friend, bro?

Me: She is. I just don't know if there's feelings for her. The last girlfriend I've had, she only wanted the spotlight instead of me. She was like the WWE's Bella Twins, always looking for attention and adoration, which is a joke!

Jeff: You not wrong, fam.

Me: Yeah, but you know what? AJ Lee was right when she called them out. She said that talent isn't sexually transmitted, and she proved it so many times that the Bellas didn't give a fuck! The point I'm making is that I don't want a relationship until I'm retired. And I'm pretty sure Hikaru knew about that while she helped me unpack some boxes in my house in upstate New York.

Jeff: What would you think of your ex-girlfriend now? How would your dad react if he heard about that?

Me: He would've been asking the Don for permission to hurt her. And I'm glad that my padré was a made man for the mob, because when he beat the shit out of anyone, I would tell everyone how much of a tough guy my dad was. And if he were still alive, he'd do it again to prove a point.

Marty came in overhearing everything and had to join in the confrontation.

Marty: You think your father would've wanted you to have kids in your future when your new girlfriend doesn't take the spotlight from you, like Shida?

Me: I just told Jeff I don't want a relationship until my career's over. And if I want kids, I'd be glad if they're proud of me. And that's the bind I'm gonna be in someday 'cause if I were in the mob at the moment and I have kids, I wouldn't want them to be like me because I want them to be smart and make their choices wisely on what they wanna do.

(A/N: When you think about that, that dialogue is right on there. I'm thinking to myself, that's how I want kids with disabilities who look up to me as to not be like me: a cold hearted rebel who's planning a rebellion against my country, please don't take it the wrong way when I say this, since BidenVille is coming at any moment. I just want those kids to be educated and live a good life. It's realistic when you think about what Marc is saying.)

Me: If it's being a mechanic, they can do that, I don't fucking care, I'll support them, but if they wanna join the mob, I'd be disappointed because that's a violent life and once you join, you're a part of it until you die. You are born into it, but it's not a genetic thing where you have to follow your padré's footsteps!

Marty: Calm down, mate. Calm down.

I started to calm my nerves as I drank a shot of whiskey.

Me: I'm sorry, guys. It's been almost a month since my padré was murdered. He and I were really close, y'know?

Marty: Yeah, we understand. Well, the reason I came here is because your match is the main event, and some fans know about your signing with AEW.

Me: More like all of them.

We had a laugh and it was good really.

When I got to gorilla, I was ready to hear my music play as I dressed in my regular wrestling gear.

As it was almost time for the main event, I was becoming more nervous. Once Eli went first, I had to be ready to come out. The theme played as I was greeted to a standing ovation from the fans. I was getting a bit emotional, to say the least.

When I walked down the aisle, I had to give out fist bumps to show my gratitude to them. I even took off my chapeau and put it on a 10 year old boy's head while giving him a fist bump as well.

When I entered the ring, lots of ribbons were thrown and I couldn't get enough of the fans' support and love.

Eli stuck out his hand and wanted me to shake it. I had to because this is the last handshake I'll do in Ring of Honor.

Todd Sinclair was the official for this match. I asked him if he would do my last match, he said he'd be honored to do it.

The bell rang there was no turning back.

Let's dance Eli.
