S C A R L E T T

Today's the day, I finally going to do the audition for some small record labels. It's not like the huge record labels who produced many great star out there, it only has like some staff there when I came there for the first time.

I love to sing and I love to play my guitar, I also love to write songs from it. I always dreamt to be on Hollywood sometimes, I always looked up to my idol Adele and Taylor Swift. I love the both of them because the both of them are insanely talented.

I always adore Taylor's lyric especially the song's she wrote called 'Mean'. It helped me a lot through all of the bully that I got in school. People picking on me because I was a nerd in school and they think I'm weird.

By the way, my name's Scarlett Aubrey and I am an 18 years old girl who wanted to be a singer in Hollywood someday. Anyway, I currently seeing the outfit that I would like to wear for this audition. I went through all of the clothes in my closet, I picked my denim and my flannel shirt.

I know it's nothing too fancy but I comfortable with it and as long as I comfortable with it I will wear it. Suddenly, someone knocked on my door so I went to open it to reveal my Momma.

"Tell me that you are not going to be wearing that for audition?", She gasped as entering my room as I sighed.

I know this is going to happen.

"You absolutely not going to wear that for the audition, you have to look fancy and pretty for it.", She said as she grab some outfit from the closet, then she told me to wear it and I just sighed and nodded anyway.

I changed to the outfit that my mom told me to wear to, she looked so impressed by it.

"Oh my Lord, you are so beautiful honey.", She said as I look at the outfit that my mom wanted me to wear. I had to wear this for the audition.

"Now, c'mon let's have a breakfast then go to the audition.", She said to me, we made our way to the dining table as I saw that my father already there talking with my little brother. Henry.

My little brother is really adorable like he always got the attention of people whenever he do something and he always makes me laugh with his silliness. He's such a brat.

"Scar-Boo, did you know that daddy always fart when he talks to me?", He said while giggling like a brat he is as my dad just shook his head and laugh at that.

"Of course, he is.", I said as he giggling even more and I just chuckled at that. I'm so happy that I can have the family like this, they are all I wanted and more. They are caring, supporting, and always believing in me.

We talked about random things that happened on this past week, we laughed when Henry doing his silly things over and over again. Finally, after we settle the breakfast, my parents and brother drive me to the audition place.

I got so much nervous when we on the road towards it, like what if I suddenly forget the lyric of the songs that I will going to play, or what if I'm not good enough for them, or what if I sound bad when singing. All of my thoughts suddenly interrupted when my mom grab my hands and squeeze it with her hands.

"Don't worry honey, you will be doing great in there. Don't over think about something that not yet happened, okay?", She asked me as softly nodded with all of the doubt in my mind.

"Mom, what if I didn't get to do this?", I asked her letting her know the doubts I thought.

"Honey, we can't predict what the future holds for us but we can always dreamt and hope that it'll be the best for us. No matter what it is we have to accept it, okay?", She told me as I nodded and hugged her right there. She's like the best mom that I wanted to be. She always taught me to dream bigger and work harder, she always advice me, she always support me no matter what happens to me.

Shortly after that, we finally arrived in the front of the record labels that I will be auditioning to, we hop off the car as I took a really really deep breath when I was out of the car. It's probably one of the most nervous things that happened to me.

We made our way inside the record labels, it's doesn't look that fancy for a record label but knowing it wasn't that big is an understatement.

We greeted by the receptionist then we told the receptionist about the audition and told to wait for the man that owns the label to come. So we went to sat over the benches. We waited for about 10 minutes until a man in his mid 40 comes to the room.

"Ah sorry for make you wait, I'm Greg Kristen the owners of Dry Good Label. So shall we start the interview and audition?", He asked me as I nodded and went to hug my family after I quickly follow after Mr. Kristen to the room that look like an studio, music studio but it wasn't that big.

"Okay, let's get this started. So you're Ms. Scarlett Rose Aubrey and you're 18 years old, correct?", He asked me as I nodded then he continue, "What makes you interested to join us?", He asked.

"Uh, I'm interested to join this label because I want to reach my dream to become a singer.", I said nervously.

"Hmm, okay. Who's the person that inspired you to become a singer?", He asked me as I thought for a second.

I got so many person that inspired me to become a singer.

"There are a lot of people that inspired me to be a singer but some of them are my art teacher, my mom, Adele, Mariah, Taylor Swift, and Michael Jackson.", I said quickly as he nodded.

"Okay then, let's get to the singing.", He said as he mentioned me to enter the room for the recording the audio, I suddenly got nervous by it.

"Okay so let's start this.", He said.
