Chapter One
You've probably seen the Sanders sisters from Sister Struggles fight all the time on screen, but let me tell you a little secret. They're just that way off-screen as well. You may hear about your favorite co-stars having lunch at the Ritz, but have you actually seen pictures? Probably not, considering there's a high chance it never happened. Stars will say anything to get good press, even if it's far from the truth.
How do I know this? Well, you've probably guessed by now. I'm one of them. I'm Brooklyn Stone. Now, this is where people will gasp and beg to be best friends with me. Obviously it's super annoying and I hate it. Okay, yes, I'm a total liar. I love having everyone begging to be friends with me. Who wouldn't? I spend hours each day emailing back fans and signing autographs - and I love it. However, that doesn't I'm a diva - nor does it mean I'm friends with all of them. Nope, I only have one best friend - Jennifer Callie, daughter of June Callie, who owns a law firm. Jennifer, aka Jen, is my only closest non-celebrity friend and I wouldn't give her up for the world. I realize I probably went through this really fast and you're probably falling off your chair in shock, so let me restart. Hi, I'm Brooklyn Stone. Yes, that Brooklyn St-=
"BROOKLYN STONE GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!"
My older sister's shouting jolts me out of my reverie. Kate Stone, my older sister, happens to be my manager and can be very intimidating at times. I jump up and hurry into the living room, where my family (including my publicist Rinna and my personal assistant aka second best friend Kara) are sitting around the glass table (which I got from the time Modern Interiors styled my living room for an interview) discussing a flashy tabloid.
"Let me guess...another leaked fight with Alexis?" I ask sarcastically. I hate both my co-stars but Alexis is definitely worse. Wait - you don't know what I'm talking about? You're kidding me, right? You must've at least heard rumours about the fights between me and my co-stars on Sister Struggles, Alexis Smith and Zoe O'Shea. Seriously, we can't get through a day of filming without a mini catfight and let me tell you, some reporter always manages to catch it.
"Nope, it's good news," Rinna says cheerfully. Kate hands me the tabloid and I scan the title of the article.
Brooklyn Stone Most Likely to Win MVA Award for Sister Struggles
Brooklyn stone is being favored by many viewers - and by cast and crew members as well. Inside sources tell us that everyone finds Brooklyn easy to work with and much more peaceful than the ever-feuding Alexis Smith and Zoe O'Shea.
I gasp and start jumping up and down like a maniac.
"Is this for real?"
"Now remember," Rinna says sternly, "It's just a tabloid's opinion. Don't get your hopes up."
"Are you kidding me?" Kate glares at her. "This is amazing! Brooke, you've been nominated for MVA!"
We squeal and hug each other.
Okay, let me explain what MVA is. MVA stands for Most Valuable Actor. It's not a common thing, but at the end of each season, Sister Struggles votes an MVA. Most of the decisions come from the cast and crew, but actors will usually consider themselves nominated if a tabloid or magazine says they have a chance.
"I think this calls for a celebration," Kate says happily. "Call Jen, we're going out for pizza!"
"Really? Thanks Kate!" I grab my phone and hit 1 on my speed dial as I hurry up the stairs to change into jeans and a t-shirt.

"I'm so excited for you," Jen says again as we approach the small round flat with a worn sign saying Auntie M's Pizzeria.
"Thanks," I reply, pulling open the door. The smell of freshly cooked pizza wafts out and we both take a deep breath, then giggle.
"Hello my favorite customers!" Auntie M, aka Maggie, calls out when she sees us. "How are you feeling today?"
"Great Maggie!" I tell her about the article as she seats us in the back corner booth, my family adding something to every sentence I say.
"I knew you would be nominated." Maggie hugs me. "Now for those pizza's you've been waiting for."
Maggie disappears into the kitchen and comes back a couple minutes later with a steaming pizza. My mouth starts to water at the sight of it.
"Let's have a toast," Kate suggests, holding up her glass of lemonade. "To Brooklyn!"
"To Brooklyn!" Everyone cries. A couple customers stare, but no one really makes a big deal about it. That's what I love about Auntie M's. No other celebrity, celebrity-wannabe, or celebrity fan would be caught dead in here, which means that this is the one place I get to feel like a normal teen.
Okay, yes, I know I said I love being famous, but truth be told, I'd rather be in bed with a pack of Oreos while binge-watching Gilmore Girls than nibble on shrimp cocktails in a dress I have to keep pulling up all night. Sue me.
"This is so amazing," Jen gushes. "After all these years, you've finally been nominated! I don't think Alexis or Zoe have either been nominated yet this year."
"Really?" I ask, even more excited than before.
"Have you heard them bragging about it yet? No? Then probably not," Jen says, shoving me playfully. That's another thing I love about Jen. She's one of the only off-set people I can share my hatred of Alexis and Zoe with because I know that she won't go blabbing off to the tabloids.
"That's true," Kate tells Jen with a laugh.
"Now, now," Rianna scolds, wagging her finger at Kate. "We don't want anyone to hear you saying that.
"Relax, Rianna," Maggie says as she approaches. She knows about our rivalry as well, since we always talk about it at Auntie M's.
"You never know," Rianna insists, then wipes her mouth with a napkin and stands up. "I'd love to stay, Brooklyn, but I've got to meet with Morgan."
Rianna's always throwing the names of the people she meets at work around. Just yesterday she managed to use the names "Angelina", "Lopez", and "Melissa" in just one sentence during a discussion about a new catfight in the tabs.
"Bye, Rianna. Thanks," Kate calls as Rianna heads for the parking lot. Rianna smiles to herself and keeps walking. Kate pulls out her phone and starts texting, but then drops it on the table.
"What?" I ask, suddenly panicked as Jen reaches over and swipes it up. She gasps and hands it over to me. My stomach sinks as I read the article.
Could the Peace Between the Sister Struggles Co-Stars Be a Ploy for Good Publicity?
Secret Sentral has sources that say that the peace between the feuding sisters on Sister Struggles might be just a set-up for good publicity. Brooklyn Stone's sister-manager, Kate Stone, was spotted in Auntie M's Pizzeria during a celebration of Brooklyn being nominated for the MVA award, replying with "That's true," to Brooklyn's friend June Callie's statement that Sister Struggles co-stars Alexis Smith and Zoe O'Shea who play Summer and Autumn Sanders, have not been nominated yet because "Have you heard them bragging about it yet?". Publicist Rianna Morris was heard telling Kate to be quiet after hearing the statement. Too late, Rianna! We have caught the feisty Kate Stone in the act.
