thirty

LUCA TEXTED NOAH the next day to check on the young boy. From his messages and one hour phone call, Noah seemed okay and was going to tell his mother that day what happened with him and Brandy. Luca encourages him to do what felt right, and that he was always there if he ever needed anyone.

It'd been over two days since Luca's fight with Brandy and telling Amina about his past. He was mentally exhausted, but spending the day with Amina and being able to relax with her helped Luca in more ways than he thought. The free hours with her and just talking about anything was something Luca would forever remember. It was the simple things that made Luca realize how amazing his life was.

Before Amina or Attis and Noah, Luca's life was a pity party with alike and parties he was forced to attend and pretend to enjoy. He believed he had no control, and control to him was happiness and freedoms that Luca couldn't possess because of Brandy. But he was taking it back-he got control now, and with control cane the freedoms Luca desperately needed. He was free, and he had people to be able to rely on and consider family.

Luca stood in the kitchen with Bella, Atticus, and Amina. All four adults talked and laughed amongst themselves as if Luca wasn't planning to make Hollywood bleed by killing it's highest man in power. At one point Luca even forgot his vendetta and was finally able to be comfortable and talk with them about funny stories he had.

The doorbell rang multiple times in a second as loud bagging echoed throughout the now quiet house. Bella slowly chewed on her cherry cautiously. "Who's that?"

Luca and Atticus shared a look. Luca quickly smiled softly at Bella and Amina as he backed away. "Stay here."

"Why?"

Luca gave Bella a soft smile. "Just trust me."

Luca nodded at both Amina and Bella who just stared at Luca curiously. Sighing, Luca turned away from them and out of the kitchen to the hallway that led to the front door.

He knew exactly who it was. There was only two people who had access to get through Luca's gate, and he was one hundred percent sure Nate Silvers wasn't the type to be in the neighborhood at ten o'clock in the morning. That left only one other man, a man Luca knew was going to come sooner or later.

The banging grew louder the closer Luca walked to the front door. The dark silhouette of a man standing behind his crystal glass door caused Luca to inhale softly and exhale loudly. He could do this. He could face his old best friend and tell him why his fathers car was wrecked and why his fathers ankle was most likely sprained. He'd tell Jacob the truth.

As soon as Luca opened the door, he was pushed back hard and landed in the floor with a groan. A familiar livid man stood over Luca as he repeatedly brought his fist down to his face.

"You fucker!" Jacob exclaimed.

This was definitely going to push Luca into overload. He couldn't even have a day to relax and be mentally ready for his best friend to start beating him.

He knew why Jacob was here, and as soon as he saw his dismissive silhouette behind the door he knew his suspicions were correct-he care because Brandy lies to him what happened between the two. Jacob was very over protective of Brandy, and no doubt would kill Luca for what he did to Brandy in his own home. He wasn't going to fight back-he couldn't breathe to hurt his heartbroken best friend.

Jacob was still in the dark and under Brandy's manipulation-only worse thing was that brandy had a strong hold on him since Jacob always tried to prove himself to Brandy. Brandy used Jacobs love and eagerness to earn his respect to his and stage whenever he could. Brandy didn't care for anyone but himself-but Jacob was too perfect of a son to realize it.

The heaviness of Jacobs body and hits suddenly stopped. Luca gasped as Atticus pulled Jacob back and forcefully held him against the wall.

"It's fine, Atticus." Luca stated sternly. He got up slowly. "Let him take it out on me."

Atticus didn't bother looking over his shoulder as he threw Jacob on the ground. He fixed the collar of his suit as he turned to Luca emotionlessly.

Jacob coughed as he moved onto his elbows. "Don't act like the good guy all of a sudden."

"What the fuck is your problem?"

Luca knew exactly what Jacob's problem was against him. Brandy lied to Jacob about the true reason behind his body and car and Jacob was now coming to do what his father couldn't without two body guards.

"You know exactly what the fuck my problem is!" He yelled as he stood up fully, more angry than before. Jacob pounced at Luca, his fist connecting to his already swollen cheek as he tried to get him on the floor.

Atticus cursed quickly came in between the two and pushing Jacob far back he bumped into the glass table. Glass shards dispersed all around them on the white tiles as bacon quickly looked down to his bleeding hand that had small shards in his palm.

"Atticus don't!" Luca wanted when he saw his body guard stalk angrily to Jacob. He turned to Jacob with a soft gaze. "You don't know anything Jacob. Please just calm down and let me explain-"

"Know anything?!" he lividly exclaimed. "I don't know anything huh? Tell me why I go to my dads place to see his favorite Jeep busted up and see his sprained ankle and broken nose!"

"Do you honestly think I'd just go looking to fight Brandy?!"

Jacob laughed bitterly as he wiped his bloody hand on his shirt. "You've done it before, Luca."

Luca gripped the roots of his hair. He could feel himself giving up, wanting to finally tell Luca what his father had done to him for years and years. What would it do though? It was a fortify fifty chance jacob would en believe him or to his story. This was something against his father, a man everyone loved and respected because he was a supposed good man.

When it came down to it, Jacob had the chance to beat the shit out of Luca for even saying something that could ruin Brandy's reputation. Luca knee that his story may not be beloved across the world, but he and the Manning men both knew something as big as that story could easily ruin Brandy's reputation and everything he worked for. For the first time Brandy Manning was scared-he was scared of the victims he tried to keep quiet. Now, it was their time for justice, something brandy told them they'd never get.

"You don't know anything." Luca turned around as he rubbed his face. "He doesn't know. He's in the dark. It's okay." He laughed suddenly. "It's never okay being in the dark."

Luca couldn't be upset with Jacob, the poor man didn't know anything. Brandy kept him in the dark and Bella and Luca never tried to tell Jacob what truly happened with them and what his father had done. Luca knew Bella wanted to, but she had fear Jacob wouldn't believe her and hate her for telling him something like that. Luca, on the other hand, knew Jacob wouldn't be able to handle what Brandy did. It was a half chance Jacob would beat the shut out of Luca for saying what Brandy did to him, and another half that Jacob would kill Luca because he beloved so highly in his father.

"I know that you're a piece of shit that went after my dad for no tucking re-"

Luca turned around quickly. "He raped me!" He exclaimed. The room went still at Luca's statement. Jacobs face fell, morphed into a blank slate as Atticus stared emotionlessly at Luca. "He assaulted and raped me for years, Jacob." he whispered, tears falling from his eyes as he stared into his eyes.

He was done with wondering what Jacob would do. He was done keeping him in the dark and letting his anger grow for something brandy manipulated him into thinking. He was done lying to Jacob and watching him spilt all down for something he didn't understand because his father wasn't letting him.

Jacobs face visibly paled at Luca's words. "N-no." he shook his head in disbelief. "No, you're lying!"

"Why in the fuck would I want to lie about this?!" Luca exclaimed lividly. "It's there, Jacob! All the signs point to Brandy and what he did to me!"

Jacob ran a hand through his hair as he continued shaking his head. He turned around, Atticus walking in between the two to make sure Jacob didn't pounce at Luca again. "No."

"He lied to you Jacob. All he ever did was lie to you."

Jacob pulled around his hair as he continued shaking his head. Luca's eyes widen when he noticed a sudden movement from the corner of his eyes. Turning to the tear faced Bella, Luca slowly shook his head. Bella sighed, stepping away from the wall and to the three grown men.

The sound of her heels clicking cause Jacob to look up. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

Amina emerged from the hallway with a pizza in her hand and confused look on her face. She quickly placed the pizza on the table beside her as she rushed to Luca and examined his bloodied and bruised face. "Oh my god you look horrible."

"I'm fine," Luca muttered back. He gave her a small smile when she gave him a look of disbelief.

Jacob groaned into his hand. "You know what, all of you just shut up! Okay, just shut up!"

Amina jumped, standing closer to Luca's chest as he slowly nodded his head at her. She gave him a small smile as she dropped her hands and walked back into the hallway.

Luca made sure Amina was out of sight before turning back to Jacob. "It's okay, Jacob."

"No it's not!" He yelled. "You both are sick!" He accused to Bella and Luca lividly. "My dad-my dad wouldn't do that you. He sees you at his son and daughter he wouldn't -"

"The night you saw Luca punching Brandy," Bella quickly cut in with a widget gaze. Her lip quivered and eyes glazed as she tried her hardest to stand tall. "Brandy wasn't trying to pull me and Luca apart. Live tried to take him off of me."

Devastated.

Jacob's fave said everything his words weren't. He wasn't angry, he was hurt and in disbelief. His two closest friends admitted that the father he looked up to and wanted respect from had raped and assaulted them both for years. The two people Jacob loved and trusted in most-the people he found goat her in a room that his father said were making out out and going to go farther if he hadn't pulled them apart and reminded them of Jacobs love for Bella.

"No, don't say that Bella." Jacob whimpered was he covered his ears. "No, no, you tried to sleep with Luca and my dad caught you two."

Bella wiped her ears as she took a step closer to him. "You're dad tried to rape me like he's done before." She sobbed into her hand as she tried her best to meet Jacobs frantic gaze. "But Luca found out and pulled him off of me before he could."

This was the first time Luca realized Bella told anyone her story beside himself. He found himself in awe with Bella's strength and courage to tell the man she loved her entire life the secret that she'd been keeping in her for so long. Bella found her voice-she was finally able to not listen to the demon on her shoulder and overcome a crucial part of recovery. This was progress, she was making progress in healing herself.

"Stop!" Jacob yelled, pulling his hair roughly as he turned away from Bella. "Stop it just stop."

Bella rubbed her eyes as she looked away from him pained. "You came here to kick Luca's ass for what he did to your father." She walked to the hallway, turning her head over her shoulder slightly. "But your father deserves so much worse for what he did to us."

Bella hiccuped as she walked out the room with her chin held high and shoulder rolled back. She did it. She overcame the fear she held in her for so long. She was healing herself and not listening to her demons anymore-she wasn't letting Brandy have anymore control over her.

"My dad was right." he snarled. "You're a liar and just searching for his money."

"Jacob, why would I lie about this?" Luca butterfly replied back. "At that, I have more money than your dad and you combined!"

Jacob was in shock and in denial-and Luca couldn't blame him. He expected Jacob to knock Luca out and leave, or walk away at Luca's accusations about is father. Yet, he stood with Luca and called him a liar. He stood up for his father and his name because he couldn't believe the man who raised him could do such a thing to the people he saw as his own kids.

"Why would my dad lie to me?" He muttered shaking his head, "he wouldn't do that."

Luca laughed bitterly. "You're fathers a sick man."

"Shut up, Luca." Jacob warned.

Quiet.

That's all he stayed over the past few years. He remained quiet with what he been through and what his story was. His actions spoke lifer than his words, and yet people saw something entirely different than what Luca was trying to show them. Brandy Manning made Luca feel weak and not in control-he took his voice and forced him to stay quiet.

Luca Jackson was done staying quiet.

"I'm done staying quiet, you're father has kept me quiet for too long." Luca stepped to Jacob who stared at him lividly. "You came here to beat the shit out of me for what I did to your father, but your father deserved so much worse than what I did to him. He hurt me and others for years, a smile sprained ankle isn't even close to the equivalent of what he deserves."

Jacob stepped to Luca red faced. "He didn't do anything!"

He was in denial, and Lica needed to contain his anger towards Jacob. Brandy was Jacobs father, heading something like that wasn't easy to digest and of course someone would react upset to the news. It was bad enough Jacob was already pissed at Luca when he came, but now he was a ticking time bomb with Luca's confession he believed to be a lie or made up story. He needed to build his story, something that'll help Jacob realize Brandy lies and manipulated him too.

"Did you know he kept me here for seven months instead of taking me to rehab and getting therapy?"

Jacob staggered back. "What? No he didn't."

Even though the two weren't friends anymore, Jacob knew how much Luca wanted to be in rehab and therapy over the years. He knew Luca wanted help, and even in the beginning when brandy said no to therapists made Luca write down his emotions in journals he gave him as a sort of release.

"Yes, he did." Luca muttered with a bitter chuckle. He looked up at the security cameras that had a bright red dot underneath it. "And I'd bet he still kept the video recordings of me going insane in his office."

Jacob shook his head in disbelief. "My father is a good man. H-He'd never do that to anyone."

"He did, Jacob." He muttered with disdain. "He isn't a good man because a good man wouldn't have done half the shit he's done to us." He stepped closer to the visibly shaking Jacob. "A good man wouldn't bring down his son and make him feel guilty into doing whatever he wanted."

"My father never made me do anything he wanted! He never brought me down! I'm who I am today because of him." Jacob yelled livid mildly, and as he went to grab Lucas shoulder he quickly halted.

Luca suddenly broke down, his vision beginning to blur and heart racing quickly. "He took everything away from me! I'm who I am today because of what he did to me! What ya manipulated me into thinking I was!"

Jacobs staggered back as his eyes glazed over. "No. Just shut up Luca, you're a liar!"

"Brandy Manning is an evil man who raped and assaulted me throughout my time here!" He chocked back a son as he began to take in shallow breaths. "He hasn't just done it to me and Bella, he's done it to so many others, Jacob."

Two best friends who fell out over a year ago opened up to each other about a reason both of them thought they'd ever talk about. After years of keeping his secret away from his best friend, Luca finally opened up to Jacob about what his father had been doing to him for years and years-and it was going out exactly the way he thought it would go.

Jacob looked at him pained, something about Luca's last remark changing Jacob entire demeanor and facial expression. The anger hence released on Luca evaporated as tears fell from his eyes a deep frown painted his once snarled lips. Something changed-something happened that invoked his statement.

He shook his head as he brought his shaking hands to his temple. "Luca I-I can't."

"I know."

Jacob ran a hand through his hair. "He wouldn't-"

"Did he tell you why I showed up at his house?"

Jacob slowly slowly as his eyes grew redder. "No."

"Did his story with Bella even add up?" Luca wiped his eyes and cheeks as he continued. "How if I was with her, still be dressed while your father was in a tank top and his jeans unbuttoned?"

He could see the gadgets turning in Jacobs head. His face morphed from disbelief, to disgust, and finally to bitter realization. He staggered back into the glass door in shock. "Oh my god." Luca quickly went to Jacob who sank to the floor. Tears came down his eyes and trailed down his cheeks as his face grew paler as Luca bent down in front of him.

Jacob sobbed into his arms, his shoulder shaking violently as Luca sat there quietly. He wasn't sure what to do or how to comfort Jacob without it resulting in him getting in more physical and mental pain for both of them. He sat quietly in front of Jacob, his knees bent as he hesitatingly hovered his hand over his shoulder before softly placing it down on it.

"How could he?" Jacob question in disbelief, wiping his face roughly on his sleeve as he glared at Luca.

He knew the glare wasn't for him, but he still winced. "It's okay, Jake."

"No, it's not." he shook his head angrily. "I should've believed you both." Jacob stood up quickly, walking to the side as he pulled on his hair. "Fuck!"

"It's okay," Luca eased as he followed Jacobs pacing body. "He's your father and manipulated you like he did to us."

Jacob sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "Shit."

"What?"

"I heard my dad talking a few years back with one of his lawyers about an assault case Isabela has against him"

Luca flinched at Jacob's statement. "What happened?" he repeated.

Luca hadn't heard anything about any assault charges being placed against Brandy, and at that the person putting the charges in him being his once big female state Isabella. Luca knew media would be at this up as soon as it got out, so how didn't it? Both Brandy and Isabella's name were huge, so it didn't make any sense why Luca or anyone beside Jacob knew about the case. What did brandy do to cover it up? Why didn't anyone beside them hear about Isabella's case? What happened?

"Nothing I think," Jacob countered. "From what I remembered he dropped her from her contract and no sign of her since. She dropped the cases as soon as he let her go."

Escape.

She got her escape. She got out of Brandy's control, but in the process of that she had to drop the case she had against him. A case she couldn't gotten her sorry and voice heard, but chose not to. Luca wondered over the fact that to get her control back she lost her chance to tell her story, or if her entire plan itself was to escape. Did Brandy manipulate her into thinking no one would believe her story so he gave her the easy way out? He had so many questions, but he knew the answers weren't going to be answered until he got through his vendetta.

"I'm so sorry, Luca." Jacob apologized, turning to Luca sorrowfully.

Luca sighed, stepping closer to his shaking best friend. " It's fine."

"No, I should've believed you and Bella," Jacob said shaking his head. "You two were going through something unimaginable and I wasn't there for you both. I proceeded to call you two liars when you told me what Brandy did to you two."

Luca brought his arms around Jacobs frame as he patted his back softly. "I forgive you."

"You really shouldn't." He sighed as he patted his back too.

Luca pulled away with a serious expressions. "You're not the Manning man I want to hurt."

"I'm with you with whatever you do." Jacob stayed seriously.

Luca smiled. "I know."

Jacob winced, rubbing his forehead in pain. " I should've listened instead of hitting you."

"He's your father, Jacob. I didn't expect you to immediately believe me." Luca excused with a knowing smile.

Jacob was a daddy boy. He tried his hardest to prove to Brandy he was a man and someone he could be proud of. Jacob looked up to bran ever since he could learn to write his name. Luca knew it would be be easy to tell Jacob what he'd been through with his fathers the man he looked up to and wanted respect and love from was a rapist and hurt so many of his friends was hard to digest for Jacob. Luca didn't expect anything but anger and denial from Jacob when it came to Luca's story, and all of his situations he planned in his head dint end anything like how it had currently.

"He isn't my father," he muttered with disgust. Jacob wiped his bloody nose as he buttoned the first few unbuttoned buttons on his neck. "I need to see Bella."

Luca smiled. About time. "She's in the kitchen."

Jacob nodded his head as she slowly backed away for on Luca with a castaway look. Before going into the hallway, Jacob looked over his shoulder, "and Luca?"

"Yeah?"

He gave him a reassuring smile. "I believe you and I'm by your side no matter what."
