Be My Guest

Carmilla is a check-out girl [A/N: I'm not the only person who hates the word 'chick' when referring to a girl, right??] at a local supermarket and is about to leave after having closed the store to the public for the day 10 minutes ago. But finds herself staying behind a little bit longer for reasons....well you know, right?

With one last look around the building, Carmilla let out a sigh of relief to see that everything was spotless. While she didn't really care if things were clean as a new car, she was getting really sick of getting grilled by the manager...

Who just so happens to also be her mother.

Carmilla was just about to exit her place of work when she sees someone standing outside the slider doors in the dim light of the night. She rolls her eyes and groans. Dealing with people who don't understand that the store is closed is the worst. 'Stake. Me.' Carmilla made her way to the doors, her feet dragging along the floor in an effort to show her annoyance.

Once Carmilla reached the doors she immediately made an effort to look as annoyed as possible. "What the frilly hell are you doing!? The store has been closed for the past ten minutes, you stupid bastard!" Carmilla made an effort to growl through the door. 'Can she not read the closed sign?' But even after Carmilla had yelled through the door, the person stood there doing nothing except for tilting their head to the side, as if to show confusion.

None of the big luminescent lights were on in the store, and the light outside the door was also off- the only lights on being the shitty ones in the parking lot, so Carmilla couldn't make out the face of the person.....

She only knew from the silhouette that this person was really, really short.

So, with yet another roll of her eyes and a huff, Carmilla turned to lights on in the store.

And then proceeded to go from extremely annoyed, to distracted. Really distracted. Carmilla just flips one light switch and suddenly her mind is all foggy with her lesbianism.

'On second thought, we are now open for the next hour...' Carmilla puts a smirk on her face and saunters over to the control panel for the sliding doors, allowing them to let the insanely attractive woman in. "Hey. How can I assist you?" Carmilla changed her smirk to a friendly smile but her voice was just about as sultry as it could get. 'I would have no problems assisting you out of those jeans...' The tiny blonde payed no attention to the obvious flirting. "Hi! Thanks for letting me in! I know that you're not open at this time and you must be so annoyed that you can't go home when you want to because I stopped you and everything, but I swear this is an emergency!" The blonde rambled, causing Carmilla to quickly smirk and suppress a laugh.

"It's really no problem, I wasn't leaving for a while anyway. What would you be looking for, cutie?" Her voice still sultry, her smile now slightly mischievous and her hand now finding the small of the shorter girl's back, Carmilla tried to flirt again.

The blonde still ignored the flirting.

"Oh, I swear it is just the worst! I thought that I had at least another two packets of chocolate chip cookies, but I don't have any! It's a terrible, horrifying, urgent crisis that I must fix and your store is the closest! Thank you for helping me avoid a cookie-less night." Laura rambled once more, running off to go find her cookies.

Carmilla stood there with her mouth ajar, yells and a growl bubbling in her throat, desperately clawing to get out into the open.

'She stopped me from going home....because she's having a FUCKING COOKIE CRISIS?!?!?!'

Carmilla took deep breaths, her hand running through her hair in an attempt to make her anger disperse.

"FOUND THEM!" An excited yell came from isle 3. Obviously coming from the childish blonde.

Carmilla let an involuntary smile cross her face at how adorable the girl was.

The blonde came jogging back to where Carmilla was waiting, three packets of chocolate chip cookies in her hand. "Okay, so I saw the price for these are $4.50 each, but since I came in here after closing time I could totally pay double, I mean, I assume they wouldn't be free after closing time, even though that would be really cool, but even then I would pay. Should I pay double for your troubles of staying back for me? Plus tip?" The blonde rambled again, causing Carmilla to refrain from laughing again. "No need to pay double cupcake, and no tip is needed, just come on over here with all those cookies and pay the normal amount." Carmilla chuckled, leading the blonde over to the checkouts with a sway to her hips....

That the shorter of the pair once again ignored.

After stalling for as long as she could as to learn some information about the adorable woman (such as her name; Laura) and flirting with her endlessly, only for it to be ignored, Carmilla finally broke. "What the frilly hell is this? What is going on in that pretty little head of yours?" Carmilla groaned, rolling her eyes when in return all she got was a confused expression. "What do you mean Carmilla? There's nothing going on?" Laura said slowly, confused as to Carmilla's sudden outburst. "That's exactly the problem! Nothing is going on in there and I've been flirting with you for the past half hour!" Carmilla raised her voice. Not enough to be fully yelling, but enough to convey her frustration.

A look of realisation showed on Laura's face. "Ohhhh. Oh! So...when you were hitting on me..you were really hitting on me?" Laura asked with a small smile. Carmilla just groaned and looked to the floor. "Yep, and you've been ignoring me the entire time.." Carmilla's expression suddenly went from embarrassed and in pain, to disgusted and in pain from her own self sounding so needy. "Could you stake me now? That would be a lot less mortifying than this conversation." Carmilla practically pleaded, not at all changing her mood when Laura giggled, moved behind the counter to stand next to Carmilla and laid her hand over the smooth, pale skin of Carmilla's. "Wow..that's...a weird request, one of which I'm not fulfilling. But I barely know you, for all I know you could be some vampire trying to eat me." Laura chuckled, grinning when she saw the slight twitch of a smile she pulled from the  mortified Carmilla. "But even though I just met you, I guess I could find out more about you if we were to..." Laura's voice trailed off as a blush steadily raised to her cheeks. Carmilla lifted her head to look at Laura now. "Go on a date?" She finished, a smirk slowly growing on her lips.

Laura shyly nodded in confirmation, though she kept her head held to meet Carmilla's gaze. Carmilla smiled, actually smiled at the blonde, and nodded her own conformation. "I think I would like that very much." She replied, her voice barley above a whisper. Laura grinned in response. "Ooookay. Tomorrow then!" Laura announced excitedly.

Giving Carmilla a chaste kiss on the cheek, Laura stepped away and grabbed her plastic bag filled with cookies. "Goodnight Carm!" She bid excitedly, almost slamming herself into the glass doors as she practically ran out the store.

"Tomorrow.."
