Chapter 1: Returning To Where We Belong

"Is it true? Is Mr Lakshya Maheshwari alive?"

"Is it true Mr Sanskaar Maheshwari came out from Coma after 6 months?"

"Give us some answers Mr Maheshwari!"

The screen eventually turned black in few seconds and a figure clenched his fist while turning away from the TV.

"What is this! Why is this news on TV!" He angrily slammed the remote control out of his hand onto the floor, breaking it.

"Papa. . ."

"Adarsh! Couldn't you do a simple thing I asked?" The figure shouted, kicking the couch afterwards. "How can this news be leaked to the media! I said I wanted no one to get a single clue about Lakshya or Sanskaar, so HOW did they find out!" He added, facing Adarsh with anger.

"We're still finding that out, we don't know how they found out about Sanskaar and Lakshya. . ." Adarsh trialled off, lowering his head in front of his angry father.

"Everything is ruined. . . Everything!" He roared, storming away from the hall instantly, leaving Adarsh in distress.

**
Mumbai:

"Where are you?"

"Where it all started. . ." He was stood at a deck while speaking on the phone. The call disconnected after a second and he held his phone away from his ear.

Bitter moments from his memory flashed in his mind, refreshing the incident that nearly swept their life away from their toes. He ran his index finger on the scar, that was on his face, scoffing afterwards.

"Lakshya. . ." Hearing his name after a long time sat his heart at peace, he turned around, seeing a feminine figure standing in front of him. "Now that you remembered who you are, will you forget us?" She asked and he gave her a look. "Why will I bother remembering you?" He rudely replied, surprising her with his answer.

"Of course. . ." She scoffed, continuing to speak "You won't have time to remember the people that saved you, took care of you when you forgot who you were for 6 months and fed you. Your richness wouldn't allow you to either. You must've already forgotten my name, but it's okay, just take care and stay happy." She turned away from him, walking away.

He watched her slowly fade and then shifted his gazes towards a Silver Mercedes Benz that stopped at a distance. The drivers door flung open as a man, dressed in a black designer suit stepped out. A smile curled over Lakshya's lips as he watched the man head towards him.

"Sanskaar. . ." His name slipped out of Lakshya's mouth in relief, and Sanskaar stopped in front of him.

"Long time no see. How have you been?" He asked, taking his Ray Bans off, smirking at Lakshya. Lakshya pulled him into a hug, "a little rough, how about you?" Lakshya responded and Sanskaar reciprocated to the hug. "A little edgy, but I'm fine now."

They broke the hug, blinking at each other for a while.

"That scar looks deep." Sanskaar commented as his eyes stop at the side of Lakshya's head.

"It was hard defeating the Angel Of Death." Lakshya replied and then lowered his gaze to the scar on the end of Sanskaar's lip. "That scar is at an awkward place."

"Tell me about it." Sanskaar scoffed, rubbing his thumb over it to feel the line. "It sucks having it over my handsome face."

Lakshya chuckled hearing Sanskaar and looked away for a bit. "You can't be serious can you?"

"I learnt it from you. Like you always say, life's too short to be serious."

A ring on the phone interrupted and Sanskaar slides his hand down his pocket, pulling his phone out. He sighed as he answered it.

"Yeah what?"

"You're all over the news, how fascinating is it to get all the attention again?"

"I don't know, I haven't had it in a long time." Sanskaar sarcastically replied and waited for a response from the other side of the call.

"Is Lakshya with you?"

"Hmmm."

"Give the phone to him."

A sigh left Sanskaar's mouth as he forwarded his phone towards Lakshya, who looked down at it.

"Who is it?"

"Adarsh."

Lakshya blinked at the phone for a while, hesitating to take it. "Since when did you start listening to him order you?"

"We don't have time for this, just. . ." Before Adarsh completed or could be properly heard, Sanskaar disconnected the call.

"The media is spilling the tea." Sanskaar scoffed, placing his hand over his waist, shaking his head in disbelief.

"The enemies and haters must've had a heart attack hearing the tea."

"Let's go kill them by appearing." Lakshya nodded at Sanskaar, curling a side smirk, lifting his gaze as he estimated the reactions in his mind.

**
Kolkata:

"What, really?" She was startled, standing up with her eyes widened and gasped, disconnecting the call afterwards.

"Oh no. . . What shall I do! No, god please no. . . I mean yes but no. . ."

"What are you blabbering?" She cocked her head to the side, seeing her mother walk inside the house.

"Maa. . . Sanskaar Maheshwari came out of Coma and Lakshya Maheshwari is alive!" She exclaimed, hitting her phone on her palm in discomfort.

She wasn't pleased with hearing this news at all, despite not genuinely wishing bad for them, their disappearance had made her life much more easier for the last 6 months.

"Shona, why are you freaking out, it's good thing right? Now you won't stay jobless." Her mother uttered, placing her handbag on the table.

"It's not a good thing Maa, being Sanskaar's secretary is a nightmare! I couldn't even handle him for a month, and his brother Lakshya, he's so annoying. He doesn't leave a single minute insulting me and Sanskaar doesn't leave a single second shouting at me. Maa I can't handle that, I can't. . . There were two more months left till the contract ended. Why, why didn't they take two months more to come back?" She complained, frowning in sadness as she spoke, extremely displeased right now.

The contract she had signed was 8 months long, she was not allowed to quit her job until 8 months were completed, or she had to pay 50 Lakhs as a fine. Therefore she stayed jobless after the accident that happened with Sanskaar and waited till 8 months were over and done with so that she could finally be free. However to her bad luck, she is stuck with Sanskaar for two months from now and maybe lifetime, as she absolutely has no justifiable reason to resign.

"Shona, if you really think you can't work there and it's stressful then just leave, but please leave after completing the 8 months contract."

She made a face as her mother headed towards the kitchen.

"Oh yes, Ragini phoned and she said she's coming to do her internship here, in Kolkata."

"Really?" Her mood changed after hearing that and she smiled. "What about Janki Maa?"

"Janki is coming too."

"Thank god. You don't know how happy I am to hear Ragini is coming. My sister. . . I really need her here with me right now."

"Also. . . Parvati Aunty is coming."

"What! Daadi? But why?"

"What do you mean why?"

"She doesn't even like us."

"She likes you. So don't be rude to her, whenever she talks to you talk to her, don't ignore her."

"But Maa. . . How can I be nice to her if she's bad towards you?"

"That's between me and her, don't interfere."

"Why can't she happily stay in Rajasthan with her sisters family? She calls everyday, isn't that enough?"

"Swara." Her mother's tone was stern. "Enough now, you have to be nice and respectful towards her no matter what. She treats you nicely, so treat her nicely." Her mother warned and Swara sighed. "Okay fine."

"Now freshen up and come help me cook dinner." She ordered and Swara followed, starting to move from the hall.

"Lakshya is alive? What are the news people saying Adarsh? Is Sanskaar out of Coma?"

"Speak Chhore, is my son out of Coma? Is Laks alive?"

"Is it true? Please say something Adarsh, please." She begged as tears dripped down her wet eyes.

"Chhore enough with staying silent. Just answer in yes or no. Don't create more suspension." She uttered, shaking Adarsh by holding his shoulders.

"Bhabhi! Sujata!" The two ladies hear their names being called out with anger and cock their heads to the side in a small fright.

"How are you behaving!" He walked down the stairs. "How dare you behave illiterate! Have some class and ask like a normal person."

"Ji. . ." Sujata's voice trembled as she watched her husband storm down the stairs and towards them.

"Ram. . . Is Lakshya alive? Is Sanskaar out of Coma?" He blinked at his sister-in-law, Annapurna and then glanced at Adarsh. "You failed to keep the secret from the world, so why are you trying to protect it from them?"

"Papa said. . ."

"Does it matter now? The news is out. . . Half of the world know and we know Sanskaar and Lakshya, they would not even hesitate to step in front of the cameras. . ."

"Does this mean they're. . ." Sujata stopped, covering her mouth with her hand in a relief as tears drip down her eyes.

Annapurna closed her eyes in relief, allowing her tears to deep down, holding her hands near her chest. It was an answer, despite not directly out of their mouths, the words had made it easier for Sujata and Annapurna to know their sons are back.

Annapurna failed to keep her cry hidden and bursted out, opening her eyes, making the pain in her heart visible to Sujata, Ram and Adarsh. Hearing her cry, Sujata was triggered, unable to stop herself from crying. The two devastated yet relieved mothers cried their heart out for their sons, so pleased to hear they are perfectly fine. It was heartbreaking for them to hear their sons were in the mouth of death, especially when one was claimed dead and the other half-dead. It was painful for them to even breath normally for those six months, now that their sons were breathing, their heart was drenched with tears of happiness.

"Both of you. . . Stop crying like this." Ram uttered, blinking at Annapurna and Sujata with irritation, walking away afterwards, knowing they weren't stopping.

Adarsh had also walked away, leaving the two on their own.
