18: Me? Ignorant? As If!

Soifon's Point of View

"Sting your enemies to death, Suzumebachi!" I shouted, releasing my zanpakuto into shikai.

"Already Captain?" My half-being opponent asked.

"Why not?" I asked as I flash stepped towards him. I attacked with my zanpakuto, but he moved out of the way just in time for me to not even graze him. "The sooner you half-beings are dealt with, the better."

He scoffed. "You are ignorant in many ways. We're not half-beings anymore. We're perfect beings."

"Why should I care? You're all the same to me, no matter what you call yourselves."

His face flushed in anger, extremely noticeable with his white hair and eyes, and he clenched his left hand. He tried to punch me in the face but I moved out of the way in time.

"I'm not the Captain of Squad 2 for no reason you know," I smirked as an anger vein popped on his head.

This time, when I attacked him, I managed to hit him in the middle of his chest, and my zanpakuto marked him.

The cowardly perfect being who refused to tell me his name looked at the mark on his chest, complete shock written all over his face. Clearly he was not expecting to be hurt.

I tried to hit him again, but he grabbed my wrist millimetres before I touched him. Then he started crushing my wrist with his unearthly strength, trying to break it.

I gritted my teeth, trying not to yell out in pain.

"Captain!" My annoying lieutenant yelled. Dammit. I was hoping to finish this battle before he realized I was in a fight.

To my-and the perfect being's-surprise, Omaeda punched my opponent in the face. He was so shocked that he let go of my wrist.

Omaeda moved to stand behind me to the right.

"Marechiyo," I said.

"Yes Captain?" He leaned forward right into my punch.

"I never told you to interfere," I said calmly as he whined about how I broke his nose.

"But Captain, he was going to break your wrist."

I massaged my wrist as me and the perfect being glared at each other.

"That doesn't matter. I had everything under control."

"You had it under control?" The perfect being scoffed. "Funny. If the fatty hadn't gotten involved, you'd be on the ground, crying about your wrist."

"Hey!" Omaeda yelled.

I stood silently, shaking slightly. I need to reign in my anger.

"Captain?" Omaeda asked, a slight hint of fear in his voice.

"How dare you!" I screamed at the perfect being. Anger quickened my reflexes. I was leaving marks all over his body so quickly he didn't have time to react. In no time, his body was almost entirely covered.

Before I could leave another mark, I felt a kick to my side, and I flew away from my opponent.

I growled, assuming it was Omaeda, until I realized who it actually was. "Lady Yoruichi," I said in awe.

She gave me a disapproving look, and I suddenly felt ashamed. Stop it Soi Fong! We don't have time for this!

"I expected you, of all people, to be able to not let little things like this to bother you," Yoruichi said. "I guess I'll have to steal the enemy until you learn."

I didn't get the chance to say anything before Lady Yoruichi grabbed the perfect being by the neck and flash stepped away.

"Are you okay, Captain?" Omaeda asked.

I ignored him and flash stepped to where I could sense Lady Yoruichi's spiritual pressure.

In the short time that passed, the marks on the perfect being we're gone, and Lady Yoruichi was attacking angrily.

I flash stepped again and pushed the perfect being away from Lady Yoruichi. Then I turned to her. "What's wrong?! I thought you were mad at me for getting angry, yet here you are, angry at him!"

Instead of attacking the perfect being, Lady Yoruichi attacked me. She threw punch after punch at me, and I forced myself to dodge. This was not the time to fight amongst ourselves.

"But out of my business Soi Fong!" She shouted.

I dreaded it, but I kick Lady Yoruichi away from me. She flew back and hit her head with a loud thump. Oops.

When she got up, she didn't look angry anymore. "Thanks Soi Fong," she said. I nodded, understanding what she meant. This particular perfect being seemed to have the ability to play with other's emotions. This one seemed to enjoy playing with anger.

Yoruichi's Point of View

Now that me and Soi Fong knew about the perfect being's ability, we charged at him together. He looked terrified, and tried to defend himself, but he wasn't quick enough. Me and Soi Fong shoved him to the ground. When his body made contact, there was a thud, followed by a crack.

"Now," I said, looming over the perfect being. "Why are you here?"

"I'm here because you dragged me here," he said.

"You know what she meant," Soi Fong snapped.

"You should know already. Because we want to destroy the Soul Society."

Soi Fong's eyes widened slightly in surprise, but I pressed on. "But why do you want to destroy us?"

"Because your the reason we exist," he spat.

"But that-"

"Doesn't make sense? Sure it does! Our parents may have been past hollow hunters, but how do you think they got their powers? The Soul Society just had to create the Eyes, didn't you? Now, because of you, we're forced to live excruciatingly long, painful lives, where even our own parents doesn't accept us. Because the stupid Soul Society couldn't just leave anything alone, us half-beings exist!"

After his rant was over, he kicked both me and Soi Fong on the legs and we fell to the ground.

With his foot ready to crush my head, he suddenly gasped. I looked at Soi Fong and saw that she had tapped his foot twice with her released zanpakuto.

We stood up as the perfect being disappeared, never to be seen again.

"Damn, he was annoying," Soi Fong said, crossing her arms.

I knelt down and picked up a blue shard.

"What's that?"

"Rachel," I answered. "I talked to Rukia earlier and learned that each perfect being has a small piece of Rachel inside them. This piece will probably need to be taken back to Kisuke so he can give Ichigo and Evie their powers back."

Soi Fong had started growling at the mention of Kisuke. I laughed at her. "Looks like your crush hasn't disappeared yet," I teased.

"Hey!"
