This fun Earth Day Oreo Truffles recipe makes bite-sized treats that look like the earth when you bite into them! It's a delicious dessert for Earth Day.

~Ingredients:

36 Golden Oreos.

8 oz Cream Cheese, softened.

Green Food Gel Paste.

Blue Food Gel Paste.

2 Cups Dark Chocolate Chips.

1/4 Cup Green Candy Melts.

1/4 Blue Candy Melts.

~Directions:

Step 1: Place parchment paper over a freezer safe tray.

Step 2: Crush the Golden Oreos in a food processor.*

Step 3: Mix together the crushed oreos and the cream cheese.

Step 4: Divide the mixture into two bowls.

Step 5: Using the food gel paste, tint one bowl blue and the other green. 

Step 6: Mix each color thoroughly. 

Step 7: Grab  several small pieces of each color and roll the bits into one ball about one inch wide and place on the tray.

Step 8: Place the Oreo Balls in the freezer for about 15 minutes to firm up.

Step 9: Melt the dark chocolate chips in the microwave according to the instructions on the package. 

Step 10: Dip the Oreo balls into the melted chocolate and set it back on the parchment paper.** 

Step 11: Wait for about 15 minutes for the dark chocolate to set.

Step 12: Warm the candy melts in the microwave and stir until smooth. Put the melted candy melts in two separate disposable pastry bags and snip off a tiny bit of the tip.

 Step 13: Drizzle the candy melts on the Oreo truffles.

Step 14: Store in the refrigerator.

~Recipe Notes:

*Crush the whole Oreos, filling and all. 

**Remelt the chocolate as needed.
