As the expression goes, every day is Earth Day. Using small pudding pots may appear hypocritical to the whole thought behind Earth Day, but a lesson in conservation always followed this tasty treat. After we enjoyed our small Earth Day dessert, we always found a clever way to reuse the small pudding pot. For example, they make wonderful mini planters for seedlings.

Holiday: Earth Day

~Ingredients:

1 (4) Pack Chocolate Jello Pudding.

10 - 12 Oreos.

1/4 Sweetened Shredded Coconut.

Green Food Coloring.*

Gummy Worms.

~Directions:

Step 1: In a small bowl, add a 2 - 3 drops of green coloring to the shredded coconut. 

Step 2: Mix until well coated and green. Set aside.

Step 3: Put the Oreos in a Ziploc bag and smash until crumbly. 

Step 4: Add crumbles to chocolate pudding.

Step 5: Top Oreo crumbles with green coconut. 

Step 6: Add a one or two gummy worms to the "grass", burying the tail into the Oreo "dirt".

Step 7: Refrigerate when not serving. 

Step 8: Eat and Enjoy!

~Recipe Notes:

*You can use as little or as much green food coloring you want. It depends on your taste and what kind of food coloring you are using (gel, powder, liquid etc...). If you don't have green food coloring  you can mix blue and yellow food colors to make green.
