April 1st
APRIL FOOLS:
April Fools, Baby
Seraphina's P.O.V.
Carlos and I walk down the deteriorating hallway. I take off my leather jacket and hand it to him. He takes it but never takes his eyes off of me. I haven't look his way but I can feel his pupils burning into my skin until he finally turns away.
My slightly heeled shoes click beneath my black slacks. I fold up the sleeves of my white, button up. This isn't my usual attire but we like to keep what we do here professional. If the adults won't take us seriously than we have to take matters into our own hands.
Carlos jogs up to me as I put my long, brown hair into a ponytail. The thoughts of what we were about to do had me dazed. I zoned out for a bit, and, as the leader of this particular operation, I'm supposed to be precise. I didn't even notice that I was leaving him behind.
"Are you sure you want to do this?" He asks, forcing me to face him. He points to a door and goes on in the most reassuring way possible. "We can get Brad to, he's up for it. He needs the practice anyways."
I hold my hand up to him, cutting him off from unconvincingly trying to assure me. "This is my job, not Brad's, not anyone else's. I got this." I say and he gives me a smile and small nod.
Carlos and I enter through the double doors simultaneously. The room is brighter than the hall but all of the light is directed on her.
There are two guys in the other room listening in on what's going on in here. We've wired the room so that it all connects to two separate headsets. It's also set up so that they can record the conversation but not us. Cameras are not allowed inside.
Lindsey and Brett guard the door from the other side. A few others guard the warehouse from the outside and some in. Three of our men have stalking the school's social media as their only job, and it's a job their very good at. We've caught six cyberbullies since the beginning of the week, not counting the hacked account we finally cracked down on, taking down an entire group with it.
We also have a few field agents who work from the inside. They're like spies. They pretend to be apart of the clique to gather information and be a witness to their inhumane deeds. We, of course, encourage them to stop whatever it is that they're doing, but if and when they don't the real consequences come in.
"Ramonica," I call to her. She quickly lifts her head in fear and worry as she searches for the source of my voice. After a small while her eyes finally land on me, or what might only be a silhouette to her.
"Why am I here? I haven't done anything wrong, so why am I here?" She yells in our direction.
Carlos takes a step towards her. "We've been doing this long enough for you to know why you're here."
"Whatever you think I did I didn't do. How could I when, not to long ago, I was a victim myself?" Her rhetorical question caused my mind to wander back to when we first met.
It was around the time we first started this whole operation. We were already assigned partners so me and Carlos were working together. Back then we were only mere spectators, bystanders if you will. We'd been doing it long enough to know not to break character. But that all changed when I saw her.
It was before we got the warehouse and made our makeshift interrogation room. So if there was any bullying going on we'd discuss it amongst ourselves to figure out which administrator would take the situation seriously. We've advanced since then, and are now working with multiple schools, police, the mayor, and colleges.
She was pinned up against a locker by the head jock's best friend. Her multi-colored light brown hair was loosely curled and flowing almost to her skirt. She wore a floral spaghetti strap that matched her dark brown eyes perfectly. Her books were held tightly to her chest and all she could do was stutter apologetically.
Apparently she had slipped an embarrassing remark to Mrs. Popular. The generic bleach blonde whom everyone hated yet pretends to adore, dated the entire football team including her boy friend's best friend, stuck up, and a bitch only without a hoard. Instead of a posse of white chicks behind her she had Josh, a guy with a unneeded crush out of this world on her.
When I saw her I couldn't just mentally record the events in my head, only to discuss them at the round table later to get them in trouble. I couldn't let her suffer, so I took action.
"Hey, meathead." I stormed up to Josh who was being egged on by the blonde. My hand firmly gripped the white shirt beneath his 'jock jacket'. "Back off her."
Carlos comes to assess the situation but I give him a look that meant I wouldn't allow it. Instead he grabs the girl and slightly pulls her away from the situation. Not to far away though, he wants to be close enough to strike if need be.
"Well, if it isn't the lesbian." I turn to Audrey but never let her boyfriend go. Her arms are crossed over her chest as she gives me an aggravated look. "You here to save your girlfriend."
"I'll be saving you next if you don't put a sock in it." She gives me a pointed look and rolls her eyes. She doesn't reply though, she knows that I'd gladly take her down if encouraged to do so.
Josh pushes my hands off while I'm distracted. "You're lucky Cap respects you or I would've messed you up a long time ago." He walks to Audrey, grabs her hand and points at the girl. "Keep my girl's name out your mouth or I'll have to put my fist in it."
As they walk away Carlos gestures his head toward Josh. I shake my head 'no' in reply. I don't take empty threats seriously, especially when directed to people I take under my wing.
"Hi," I smile at the girl as I hold my hand out to her. "My name's Saraphina. This is Carlos."
She takes it and shakes my hand. "Hi, I'm Ramonica."
Ever since then I've been in love with her. We became very close but recently fell off. After hearing about what she said and did to Audrey, Brandon, the captain of the football team, wanted to meet her. He thought is was hilarious that someone had the balls to tell her off.
Monica had told me about the crush she had on him, but by then I thought it didn't mean anything. She knew how much I loved her and how much horrible stuff we had to do for him. He has so much information that we need, we have no other choice but to be cordial and sometimes do his bidding. Yet, somehow, he found his way in and she crept her way out of my life.
She'd been a victim her entire life. He offered her something I couldn't have. It's sad what people would do for a taste of power.

Ramonica's P.O.V.
"What aren't you telling us about February 19th?" They ask sharply.
"Nothing. I told you everything. Me and my friends went out that night. We got drunk and crashed a nerd party, that's all." I reply in an almost pleading manner.
"What exactly happened at this party that you crashed?" My breath gets caught in my throat at the question. I gulp and shake my head vigorously.
"Nothing, nothing happened. I was too drunk to remember, I blacked out."
"Oh," the girl responds. Her voice is familiar but I'm too shaken to wonder about her identity. "Well, I heard Brandon Neville is your boyfriend, is that true?"
I raise an eyebrow at the question. I don't see what this has to do with anything but I reply anyway. "Yes,"
"Didn't you both start going out that very night? How would you know that if you don't remember." My mouth opens in shock and I'm unable to form lies or words. "Brandon told us that the two of you haven't spoken to each other since that night, is that right?"
"Yeah, no, we haven't." I lie. We've talked, mainly about not telling anyone what happened, but we still talk. I'm not even suppose to be talking to them right now, but -to them- silence is confirmation. They already have their way of knowing. Now all I can do is deny it til the end.
"Are you sure, because the last thing we said was a lie. He never said that, he never even really spoke to us. All he said was that he wasn't speaking to us and neither were you."
"Wait," I say confused. I begin to panic. What have I done?
"You've lied to us, now we know how far you'd go to keep your dirty secret. You might as well tell us the truth." She pauses, I don't know if it's for dramatic effect or to frighten me even more. "What happened to Larson?"
"I- I told you I don't remember."
"Tsk, tsk, tsk." A male voice comes through. "You're still lying, chica." I can hear the anger in his accent.
"Maybe we should jog your memory."
The door opens and a familiar face walks in. Angie walks past the two people and into the light, dressed in the same attire they are.
"Hey, Romie."
I stare in shock. "Angie, wha- what are you doing here, what's going on?"
"I'm going to be blunt," She says turning on the lights. Upon seeing their faces I'm put in the most horrible position of my life. Not only is my "friend" here to expose what I did, but the person that cares about more than anyone in the world is the person she's exposing me to.
"I'm apart of this operation, always been. I've been spying on you since the Audrey incident. I'm not going to lie, Sara had me watch out for you before that. With a friend like her, I constantly wonder how you could get yourself in this much trouble."
"With a traitor friend like you it's inevitable." I snap. "Especially when you cheer me on."
"This is why you got into that mess with Audrey in the first place." She lashes out. "And this is what's gonna get you into trouble with me."
Saraphina grabs her by the arm and pulls her back. She pulls away from Phi, trying to calm herself. I had obviously -purposely- pissed her off. If there is one thing she hates it's when someone spreads lies about her. Her reaction is just to show that she's just as bad as the rest of us.
"I tried to stop you. I was your friend and I wanted to keep you safe. Do you think I want to do this? I don't. I told you to leave the kid alone but you wouldn't listen, now you're in this position."
"You knew he liked you and had, had no prior experience with girls. You took advantage of that." Saraphina says. "You flirted with him just for kicks and giggles. Your boyfriend almost beat a kid to death because you thought is was funny to exploit his lack of experience. You went in to kiss him but it was a joke the entire time. Brandon saw this and he got very upset. Is this true?"
Tears welled in my eyes as I begin to sob into my hands. "Yes. I messed up -Phi- I fucked up." I pick my head up and stare into her eyes. "Baby, I love you, I've always loved you. I just- I got caught up. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what I was doing." I sob lowly and wipe the tears clean from my eyes in hopes that she'd have mercy on me. They can get me expelled and give every college a reason to reject me. "You- you won't tell on me, won't you? You can't."
"No," She places a simple kiss to my temple. "I won't."
A proud hiccup leaves my lips as my chest rumbles a bit. "Really, babe? Oh my god, thank you so much." I smile.
"They will." She points to a one- sided mirror that Brad and Matt pulls from the wall. My smile instantly drops as she speaks her next words. "April fools, baby."
