A/N: I let my sister, Ava choose the first shipping, and she chose PokeShipping, Ash and Misty, knowing that it's my Pokemon OTP. So, unfortunately, we will be starting off this series with a non-Yugioh shipping. Not that I'm complaining.

 Time: 5:00

Place: Cerelaun City Gym

~Misty's POV~

"Missssssssssssty!!!! Get up!" My sister, Violet screams.

I groan and yell back, "WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY? It's Christmas Eve and I NEED SLEEP! Not to mention it is FIVE IN THE MORNING!"

"You need to practice for later today! Now come down here or we will drag you down the stairs!"

"Come drag me." And I thought they were kidding. But nope. In three minutes, my sisters are all in my room and are violently pulling me out of my bed and down the stairs, into the kitchen where some toast is sitting on a plate for me. Rolling my eyes, I sit down to eat.

Daisy sits down with me and says, "So, after you finish your breakfast, we will have the last rehearsal of our show until the real thing. This one will have everything that will happen in the actual show! We even gathered up an audience!"

My Psyduck waddles in, followed by Dewgong, Staryu and Starmie.

They notice that I finish my toast, and Violet pushes me into my room, telling me to change into my outfit for our performance. While I change, I think about how this all happened. When I came home from my trip to the Unova Region for a vacation about a month ago,  Daisy forced me kindly to play the main role in their Christmas program. Somehow, I agreed and now I am stuck playing a princess mermaid or something.

Finally, I waddle downstairs in my mermaid tail and princess wardrobe.

"Like, OMG Misty! You look fantabulus!" Lily exclaims. "Now, like, come on and get in the water. The show is about to begin!"

Right as I climb into the pool, Violet rushes up to us, fully dressed in her Fairy Godmother costume, yelling in between sobs, "Our prince fell down the stairs and broke his leg!! He cancelled on us!" she sniffles."Poor Princess Misty will never find love now! Oh, what shall we do?"

"GET A NEW PRINCE, DUH!" I scream to be heard above Violet's shrieking.  "ITS THAT SIMPLE!"

Lily looks at me.  "Oh ya. Misty, you're so brilliant! Wait, who are we going to ask?"

"Mist, that's your job this morning. Go find yourself a new prince." Daisy instructs me.

"ONLY ASH CAN CALL ME MIST AND GET AWAY WITH IT!" I growl and stomp out the door, hearing my sisters squealing, "Awww!"

For about a half-hour, I just wander aimlessly on my bike with Azurill and Psyduck. For some reason, he tagged along.

Eventually, I find myself in Pallet Town. I notice a boy climbing a tree with a... Pikachu? And that boy has a red and white hat... I slowly climb off of my bike, leaving Azuril in the basket, and take off my backpack, reaching into it and pulling out a hat of my own. Then, I sprint up to the tree and start climbing until I  get to where the boy is resting. Quickly, I snatch his hat and replace it with the one I have. "There you go. Now you look more like the Ash Ketchum I know." I tell him. "Now come with me." I grab his arm and push him out of the tree, jumping down as well.

"Misty!" Ash exclaims. "What are you do-"

"Hush. I'll explain later. Now try to keep up." I hop back on my bike and start pedaling off to Cerulean, occasionally glancing back to make sure that Ash and Psyduck are keeping up.

Finally, we get to the gym and we walk inside. Daisy runs up to me and says, "Did you find a new prince?"

I nod. "Meet Prince Ash."

"Great!" Lily says, escorting a confused Ash away to tell him everything. Violet rushes after them with a measuring tape.

Daisy giggles. "Come on, warm up. Then we can work on the scene where you go to the surface and wonder what you're going to do about the whole prince thing and the big sister comes up." she tells me.

"Alright." I do some quick warm-ups in our small pool then head to the big pool where the real performance will be taking place.

I jump into the water, then swim to the big ice castle that Dewgong made to meet my sister inside. She motions for me to go to the top of the castle.When I do, I rest on top of the balcony at the top of the castle. I sigh dramatically and say, "Why does this have to happen to me?"

"Why does what happen to you?" Daisy asks, joining me.

"You know that Dad wants me to marry someone before my next birthday. But the one who I actually want to marry is our sister, Lily. Not to mention my birthday is tomorrow!"

Daisy nods. "That is a problem. Well, I have to go prepare supper." She flippers away.

I just sit there when Ash walks in, wearing a prince costume. Violet whispers something to him, then runs up to the pool. Slowly, she gets pulled into the air by a wire pulled by Psyduck and Gyrados.

She flies up to me and says, "What's wrong? You look upset."

"Who are you?" I ask.

"That doesn't matter. Now why are you upset?"

"Because my father is forcing me to marry a prince. But the only prince I want to marry is in love with my sister."

"Well, where's your sister?" Violet asks.

I shrug. "Probably in her room."

"Alright! Thanks!"

"And scene!" Daisy tells us before we can continue. "Misty, you're ready for tonight. Can you help Ash practice his lines and everything?"

I find myself nodding. "Ash, get in here."

We practice what's going to happen, but Ash doesn't ask a single question about what's going on.

I stand at the diving board nervously. Almost 100 people are watching this. My legs are wobbling. I had practiced this for so long, yet I know I will mess up. Lily's voice comes up on her microphone. "Welcome to our Christmas Program! This year, it is a tragic romance story about A mermaid princess named Misty."

"Misty is looking for love-- because her mean father, the king, is forcing her to marry before her birthday, which is tomorrow, Christmas Day!" Violet continues.

"Join her on her wildest journey yet in-"  Lily pauses.

"The Princess And Her Prince!" They say together. 

Wow, what a stupid name, I think as I jump into the pool and swim into the ice castle and up to the balcony at the top. I watch Ash on a glacier, looking around until he sees Lily swimming toward him. Ash waves to Lily as Lily climbs up on to the glacier. They just smile at each other until Lily looks up and sees me. She looks up at Ash and swims away as fast as she can. Then comes the scene that we had practiced earlier, except my sisters take turns narrating. When Violet flies away, I jump into the water and swim to Ash. He looks down at me, puzzled.

I climb onto the iceberg and glare at him.

"'Why did you choose my sister over me?' Young Misty thinks, but instead says, 'Haven't we met somewhere before?" Daisy nararates.

Ash nods.

"Misty decides to do something. She tells him that she has a problem that involves him. Ash tells her that maybe he can help, depending on what her problem is. So she tells him that she has to marry someone by tomorrow, but the only one she really loves is Ash, yet he loves Lily." She continues.

Ash pulls her further onto the iceberg as Daisy says, "Ash tells her that he would be mad if he couldn't help."

And this is where the story gets messed up a bit-- but for the better, I think.

Psyduck somehow got his flippers on my Super Rod and, instead of stringing bait on the hook, he found mistletoe and hung it on the hook. Next, he keeps casting the rod out until he gets the mistletoe to hang above our heads.

"Misty, look up!" Daisy shrieks.

We both do, and before anyone had any time to question this, Ash leans down and kisses me. Then, that is where the timed glitter cannons go off (I have no idea why).

And that is the end of the show. After we both change out of our hideous costumes, I climb on my bike and pedal down Nugget Bridge and keep going until I reach a certain pool of water that is now frozen over.  Growing on the edge of the tiny pond is a small pine tree. Under the pine tree is an egg. I pick it up, grinning. When turning around to start heading back home, I get stopped by Ash Ketchum.

"What do you have there?" Ash asks me, pointing to my egg.

I just look at him. But before I get a chance to answer, I hear something.

Psyyyyy!

I spin around to see my Psyduck, pointing upward.  We look up to see... Mistletoe. I jump up and grab it with one hand, the other holding my egg. I do manage to grab it, running home.

When I get home and am in my room, I feel my egg shaking. Then, a crack. Then, silence. But in a couple of minutes, more cracks until, a little.... Pink Caterpie head pops out.

Now I'm no expert on bugs, but even I know that Caterpie, even shinies, aren't pink.

I just sit there, looking at the magenta Caterpie, when it hits me. The Butterfree that Ash owned. It flew off  with a pink Butterfree. Maybe... No, it couldn't be.

I sit there, smiling and trying to decide which is a better Christmas gift. A kiss from Ash, or my new Caterpie.

Hey people! Wow, it took me forever to write this. Well, I'm sorry that it's sucky and long, but this is my first one-shot. Ya, I'm bad at one-shots... Well, everyone have a great Christmas! Or Hanukkah! Or Kwanzaa! Or... Ya, I'm gonna stop now. Also, since I don't really think that I described some scenes very well, I somehow managed to draw out those confusing scenes. Unfortunatly, I couldn't figure out how to post them.  And if you couldn't tell, I merged together a couple Disney movies to get this. Ya, remember to comment for a ship for the New Year!
