CHURCH
"Remember my child, Jesus loves you regardless of your sins."
Jimin raised his brows as the preacher stared right at him, signaling him out.
"We're very grateful for the amount that has been donated by our supporting family and friends. the volunteering members of our church made this all happen, so let's thank them in a prayer."
Jimin closed his eyes, thinking about how many more minutes he had to sit here for.
"Thank you." The preacher broke the silence as he spoke into the microphone. "One of the members, belonging to our great committee, has a couple of words before we all go home in a few minutes."
"Good morning everyone."
Jimin lifted his head when he heard the familiar voice from a couple days ago. His eyes travelled toward Sora's eyes, as they grew wide. What was once a confident speech, turned into a massacre.
"T-Thank you for the support." Sora quickly and nervously concluded her speech, before rushing down the stage and out the doors before it'd get crowded.
Jimin jumped out of his seat.
"Where are you going?" His mother lowered her brows.
"To pray." Jimin blurted out the only thing he could think of, before following after her, before she'd get away.
"Hey!" He shouted, scaring the children near him.
Sora gulped, but turned around with a casual and friendly smile. "Well would you look at that. You know, I must say, I didn't expect to see you here."
"You lied to me and left me with braces boy." Jimin angrily muttered as he glared at her.
"I didn't lie to anyone." Sora straightened her pencil skirt. "You got your thin mints, didn't you?"
"Fuck the thin mints." Jimin scoffed. "I asked for you at my doorstep, not whatever the hell that other thing was."
"You're very aggressive." Sora shook her head as she took a good look at him.
"You're very stubborn." Jimin bit his lip as he stepped closer.
"And we're at church." Sora gave him a fake smile, and gently pushed his chest back.
"Fuck church, I need you in my bedroom."
Sora's eyes widened, and Jimin knew he fucked up pretty badly. "How could you speak to me like that you disrespectful little bastard?"
"What are you, the queen of England?" Jimin raised his brows.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" Sora smiled, before turning the opposite way.
"What the fuck is that supposed to even mean." He scrunched his nose as the thought crossed his mind.
"Goodbye sir." Sora waved without even sparing him a glance, and continued to walk forward.
"Why the hell are you calling someone who's your age sir? I would understand daddy, but sir is just a bit much, don't you think?"
Sora rolled her eyes as she stopped walking. "I will not call someone who is not my father, daddy. It's completely inappropriate and doesn't make sense."
"No, you don't get it." Jimin chuckled. "You call a guy daddy when the guy is really dominant in the bedroom. You catching what I'm saying?"
"Not at all sir."
"Will you at least call me Jimin." He narrowed his eyes. "Sir is just insulting at this point.
"Jimin." Sora quietly repeated his name.
"Memorize it." Jimin gave her a quick nod. "You'll be screaming it a lot."
"I'm not scared of you—" She took a giant step closer. "—Jimin."
Jimin's eyes brightened as a grin appeared on his face. "You can't really be that fucking innocent?"
Sora gave him a tiny shrug.
"Fuck, you're so cute." He cursed under his breath.
"What was that?" She raised her brow. "I didn't hear you."
"Listen Sora." Jimin ran his fingers through his blonde hair. "I'm still pissed that you didn't keep your promise, so I'm giving you a second chance."
"I'm sorry?" Sora crossed her arms. "You're giving me a second chance? For what?"
"For those two minutes that we could've spent together." He whispered while pushing her hair behind her ear.
Sora raised her brow, giving him a dumbfounded look. "I'm sorry sir—Jimin, I'm gonna have to say no, because I don't see strangers. Did I get to ever mention about the chances of getting kidnapped, raped, or s—"
"I'm not gonna rape you." Jimin stared at me in disbelief.
"That's what a rapist would say."
"We can go somewhere public." Jimin rolled his eyes, after hearing her snarky comment. "Then I can't rape you."
"So you were gonna rape me?" Sora raised her brow.
"No." Jimin pulled at his hair. "Damn it, you're so complicated."
"I mean, I just remember you thinking that I was twelve, but you're suddenly asking me on a date a couple days after." She pursed her lips together.
"I get it." Jimin crossed his arms. "It looks bad, but that's not my intentions at all. I'm a good guy, who studies very hard."
"What's your gpa?" She raised a brow.
"I didn't take that class." Jimin innocently replied.
"You proved my point." Sora sighed before talking another good look at him. "I feel like I know you."
"Maybe you do." Jimin shrugged his shoulders.
"You remind me of this guy I knew in elementary school." She looked up as she tried to recall the memories. "His name was Chuck."
"That's so nice of y—
"I hated Chuck."
"Okay then." Jimin briefly raised his brows. "Can I not be chuck then? I can't be that bad."
"Okay, person that reminds me of chuck, I'll just stick with Jimin." Sora glanced up at Jimin as his lips curved into a faint smile.
"Okay, person that I find so adorable." Jimin licked his lips as he smiled. "I wanna see you again."
—
"Jungkook, there's someone at the door."
Jungkook lowered his brows while he tossed his notebook to the side, and made his way down the stairs. He figured that it was just Jimin since he usually invited himself over all the time, but then would've just let himself in.
He tilted his head when he saw Faye standing at his door step, in a grey hoodie.
"Faye?" Jungkook held the door open. "What are you doing here?"
"I wanted to talk to you." She shyly spoke, shoving her hands in her pockets.
"Yeah, sure." Jungkook slowly nodded. "Come in."
He led her through his impressive home, owned by the hard work of his parents of course. Jungkook stopped once he stepped foot into the kitchen and got his mothers attention. "Hey mom?"
"What is it?" She mumbled while looking through the fridge for some heavy cream.
"I want you to meet someone."
Faye gave his mother a friendly smile as she gave her a small wave, before putting her hand in her pocket.
"Hi, you're Faye right?" Mrs. Jeon titled her head as she waited for a response.
Jungkook let out an uncomfortable sigh, knowing his mom would say something like that.
"Yeah." She shrugged her shoulders with a smile.
"Well, it's nice to meet you." Mrs. Jeon gave her a nod of approval, before continuing her search in the refrigerator.
"It's nice outside." Jungkook turned to Faye. "Let's talk out there."
Faye followed Jungkook through the back door, and nearly fainted when she saw the beautiful scenery.
"It's beautiful." She whispered to herself.
"You think so?" Jungkook's lips curved into a faint smile as he sat down on one of the outdoor couches.
"Uh—Yeah." She stuttered, not expecting him to hear her. "You must be really happy living here."
"I guess." Jungkook shrugged his shoulders. "I miss out on a lot of things though."
"Like what?" Faye hugged her knees as she made herself comfortable on the couch across from him.
"All my friends live near each other, while I'm out here, sort of isolated." He scratched his head. "I'm not complaining, but I just feels lonely sometimes."
"I get it." Faye nodded. "Being the new student isn't exactly a great thing either."
"I can tell." Jungkook raised his brows. "Listen, I'm sorry for what happened. Taehyung can be so—"
"You know him?" She tilted her head.
"I'm sad to say that we're friends." Jungkook let out a deep sigh. "He's on my hockey team, but we're not as close as people think."
"I don't understand why anyone would wanna be friends with someone like that." She mumbled.
A wave of guilt hit Jungkook. She was right. What is a guy like him doing hanging around with a guy like Taehyung. It doesn't make any sense.
"We were friends." Jungkook spoke in past tense.
"Thanks by the way." Faye caught his attention as he looked up from the ground.
"Don't thank me." Jungkook rubbed his arm. "I did what I thought was right. I did what anyone should have done."
"But no one did it." She licked her lips. "You did."
"My mom raised me right." Jungkook chuckled. "I guess you can thank her."
"I'm impressed." Faye smiled as she pointed to herself. "I finally got you to laugh."
"I guess that's a point for you then, because I don't do it often anymore." Jungkook bit his bottom lip.
"Why not?" Faye lowered her brows. "I like your smile." She giggled.
"Thanks." Jungkook muttered. "I don't know, things are just getting a lot more complicated nowadays."
"Life?" Faye shrugged her shoulders. "It's always been shitty for me."
"Listen, don't get me wrong." He pointed. "I'm truly grateful for everything I was given, but I always feel like I'm missing the other half of me."
"I know how you feel." Faye softly spoke.
There was a long moment of silence, a comfortable silence. It's like both of them were thinking about the same thing.
"Jungkook." Faye quietly called his name, not wanting to startle him.
"Hm."
"I have an art assignment due next week." Faye began explaining, and Jungkook blankly stared at her. "I need to visit the metropolitan museum and write an essay length analysis on a piece of art..."
"You want me to go with you?" Jungkook asked the question himself.
Faye slowly nodded.
Jungkook sighed, running his fingers through his hair as he laid his head back.
"What time?"
