Three months later
"Oh, hi Sora, I didn't see you come in." Mrs Park smiled as she walked through the kitchen doors.
"Jimin let me in." Sora kindly spoke. "He actually just left to pick up some food. So he should be back soon."
"To pick up food?" Mrs Park furrowed her brows as she crossed her arms. "That's odd. He's usually too lazy and has it delivered here."
"Maybe he's in the mood to drive." Sora quickly said while trying to defend him. It was a habit she picked up ever since she started dating him. She'd have his back every single time someone was suspicious of him. Whether it be teachers, or his own parents.
"Ah." Mrs Park gave Sora a look that said I'm on to you.
Sora continued to innocently smile at her, until she finally left the kitchen. She had no idea why Jimin was out. What business is it of hers to know why he decided to pick up the food. Sora patiently waited as she sat in their living room. She's been dating Jimin for over 4 months now, so she's gotten pretty used to being at his house. Her parents on the other hand, can't stand him.
Her thoughts disappeared right as the front door opened. "There you are. What took you so long? Your mother was starting to get suspicious." She grabbed both of Jimin's shoulders as he leaned forward for a kiss.
"Suspicious of what? Italian take-out?" He raised his brow while setting the bags into the counter. "Jesus, it's so cold outside."
"And you didn't where a jacket, because...?" Sora questioned as she felt his freezing arms. Jimin let out a sigh of relief. "Your hands are so warm. Oh God, keep going."
"Ahem."
Both their heads turned to the kitchen, and Jimin's mother stood there with a disturbed but also kind of concerned look.
"What? I'm cold." Jimin scoffed as he defended himself. "A man can't be the little spoon for once?"
"Oh my goodness, would you stop with that." His mother rolled her eyes. "And what took you so long with getting food. Isn't that Italian place like five minutes away."
"Yeah, but I accidentally ran over a squirrel—" He slowly turned to Sora, who looked up at him with innocently. "But the squirrel is safe." He smiled.
"I'll be cleaning upstairs if you need me." She took a step towards the stairs, before looking over her shoulder. "I don't want any physical touching from you two, and that includes kissing, holding hands, touching shoulders. Nothing, you hear me?"
Sora quickly nodded her head, faster than the speed of light. Jimin scoffed in disapproval as soon as she left. "No touching shoulders? Who the hell even thinks about that?"
"Uh Jimin." Sora's glanced towards his arm, as it rested on her shoulder.
"Wh—So?" He struggled to say.
"I think we should stay true to your mothers words, especially since this isn't my household. Therefore I need to respect your family."
"Sora." Jimin glared at her. "I don't even respect my family, and I live here. It doesn't matter if you do."
"Well maybe you should start to." She shrugged her shoulders while cleaning the table. "Sora, why the hell are you cleaning the table? You're a guest here, you don't have to do anything to impress my mom."
"I'm not doing this to impress anyone." She set the rag onto the table. "I'm helping your mother out a little bit. She seems really stressed and tired from always going out and working. Your father is never here during the day, and then there's you."
Jimin raised his brow.
"You're just kind of there." She casually admitted.
"Do you not want me to be?" He furrowed his brows, making Sora laugh. She scooted closer to him on the couch and rolled her eyes. "Quit being such a baby."
"Oh so now I'm being a baby?" He crossed his arms, still not getting over it. "—and I'll have you know that I'm just some useless kid that sits around in his room and plays video games all day.
Sora's lips curved into a smile as she raised one of her brows. "Okay fine." Jimin harshly spat as he sunk into his seat. "I'm a pathetic son that doesn't do anything right."
"That's not entirely true." Sora rubbed his back. "I can think of something you do right."
Jimin looked up at her with desperate eyes, as she was still thinking. Sora gave him a nervous laugh, and licked her lips. "That's not really important at the moment."
"Maybe you deserve a better boyfriend." Jimin continued to frown. "Who the hell am I kidding, come here." He roughly grabbed her face, and pressed his lips against hers.
Sora's eyes widened as she lost balance and fell onto her back. Jimin glanced down at her with a cheeky grin. "Did you just fall for me?"
"Don't ruin the moment." Sora shook her head.
"You're right." Jimin nodded, before pulling his shirt over his head. Sora placed her hand on his chest, just as he leaned forward. "Your mom's home, Jimin."
"And?" He lowered his brows. "She's not downstairs, so it doesn't matter."
"Oh hi Misses Park." Sora smiled as she pretended to wave. Jimin quickly pushed himself off her, and fell onto the floor.
His lips slowly parted once he saw her smirking. "I can't believe you know me so well." Jimin brushed the dust off his pants as he stood up. "You wanna try the garage? Oh, there's also my neighbors new tree house. I told him that I'd be using it for scientific purposes."
"That's gross." Sora scrunched her face as she handed him his shirt.
"You suck the fun out of everything." Jimin roughly grabbed his shirt from her hand and put it back on.
"Love you." She lifted her heels off the ground to reach his lips. Jimin grabbed her face before she could move away and kissed her once more. He narrowed her eyes when she grabbed her bag.
"Where the hell are you going?" He looked at the time, and back at Sora.
"I told you I had to leave by six." Sora felt awful as she looked at her boyfriend. "My parents think I'm studying at the library."
"Sora." Jimin stepped closer, until they were only inches apart. "When are you gonna tell them?"
She harshly bit her lip, not sure how to answer his question. "I don't know. Just not now." Sora spoke, knowing he didn't like her answer.
"I don't see how hard it is to just tell them that you're in a relationship. Who the hell are they to tell you that you can't date?"
"They're my parents Jimin." Sora stressed, as she tried making him understand. "They know what happened to me and Mason and they don't trust boys being around me anymore."
Jimin rolled his eyes as he turned away from her.
"You have to understand where they're coming from Jimin." She crossed her arms against her chest. "I'm sure you'd do the same thing if you had a daughter that got abused by her boyfriend for a year. As the parent of that child, wouldn't you be afraid?"
"I don't think it's your parents that are afraid." He looked over his shoulder, and sighed. "I think you are."
"What?" Sora gulped.
"You're not telling your parents about me, because you're not ready to be in a relationship after what happened to you." Jimin calmly said. "I know that because you said it that night. When you told me about him. You said that you weren't ready for a relationship with anyone, because you lost trust."
"That was before I met you, you idiot." She hissed, taking him aback. "I wasn't gonna tell you this, but you're actually the first guy who hasn't turned me into hating myself for absolutely no reason. And to be honest with you. Sometimes I think to myself, how the hell did I end up here, and with you. But it just feels so—"
Jimin lifted her chin with his finger and smiled at her tearful eyes. "If I knew my girlfriend was going to cry this much, I would've bought more tissues." He wiped Sora's eyes with his sleeve and kissed her head.
"Are you mad?" She glanced into his eyes with her innocent ones. He chuckled at Sora's cuteness and put his arm around her. "I'm not mad, I'm pissed."
Sora couldn't help but laugh, even while her eyes were red and puffy. Jimin grabbed his keys off the table and a jacket.
"What are you—"
"I'm taking you home." Jimin said, while slipping his jacket on. Sora stood there, speechless while he ran into the kitchen. "My mom's friend came over a few days ago, and brought these." He handed her a plate of muffins.
"Jimin, you don't have to take me home." Sora tried to tell him, feeling guilty. "I can just call a taxi to get me—"
Sora nearly screamed when Jimin grabbed her ass and threw her over his shoulder. "You never shut up, do you?" He rolled his eyes while walking outside.
AUTHORS NOTE 💛
I hope you all enjoyed this chapter. I'd actually like you to read this author's note, because I'm gonna lay out the rest of the book for you guys. I don't want it to run too long, so I'm making it simple. The next chapter will be Jungkook and Faye's 3 months later. After that is when things get kind of different.
I'm going to dedicate one last chapter of Jungkook and Jimin being in the scene. After that it's just gonna follow the separate couples through things like marriage, hardships, and pregnancies. I won't write about their later fights, because I want this series to end on a good note. So expect there to be maybe 6 chapters left. It's gonna go by pretty quick!
