GOLDEN VALLEY
"Be at the rink in five minutes, okay?" Jungkook muttered as he looked down at his watch. He ran across the school, leaving Sora and Jimin alone.
"W-What are you doing here?" Jimin whispered as people walked by.
"I'm volunteering at the T-shirt stand with a friend of mine." Sora raised her brow as she looked Jimin up and down. "Uhh, I was gonna ask why you're dressed like that, but now I'm not so sure I wanna even know."
"Listen—" Jimin licked his lips as he grabbed onto her shoulders. "Remember how I told you about my whole school situation and how I got suspended and couldn't play in the hockey game?"
Sora uncomfortably nodded.
"Well, they won't let me through the doors since security is there, so my last hope was dressing up like a female student." Jimin nervously bit his lip.
"Is that so?" She pursed her lips together, unable to look him in the eye.
"Sora." Jimin softly groaned as he pulled her to the side. "If you want to see the real me, aka your one and only daddy, meet me in the locker room when the game is over."
She gave him a long stare and loudly sighed. "I'll wait for two minutes. Two minutes Park Jimin."
"That's my girl." The corners of his lips curved into a smile as he lightly nudged her chin.
Sora blinked a few times as she tried to take in the moment. The game announcer began to speak into the microphone, signaling Jimin that it was time for all the players to be ready. He grabbed his things, and ran off towards the entrance.
"Ticket ma'am." The faculty member extended his hand. Jimin raised his brow and lowered the pink sunglasses he wore.
"What did you just call me?" Jimin asked, oblivious to the fact that he was supposed to be pretending he was female.
"Is there a problem?" The man lowered his brows as he listened to Jimin's voice become lower in pitch.
"Yeah there's a problem." Jimin crossed his arms as he glared at the guy. It wasn't until this moment, he looked at his own reflection through a glass window and knew he fucked up. "Oh God uh, I'm so sorry—nothing's wrong, I'm absolutely fine, you?" Jimin gave him a fake smile.
"Y-Your voice changed..."
"Oh my God, I think it's that time of the month for me." Jimin dramatically covered his mouth with his hand and quickly jolted out of the man's sight.
Jimin pushed his way past all the students, trying not to get noticed while finding the locker room.
"Out of my way." He shoved the passionate kissers away from the door, before rushing inside. "I made it." Jimin panted as he rested against the door.
He opened his eyes to see all the hockey players staring with raised brows. Jungkook lowered his head as he knew what would happen next. All the boys broke into a laughing fit, falling against one another as they tried to hold themselves up.
"Ha ha ha, so fucking funny." Jimin mocked their laughter as he walked past them and over to his locker.
"Okay Jimin, repeat after me. Give me a J!" The boys laughed as Taehyung threw his fist into the air.
"I'll kick your ass Kim Taehyung." Jimin lifted his shirt over his head, and threw it to the dirty floor.
"With what?" Taehyung's face was red from all the built up laughter. "Those pink heels?"
Yoongi choked on literally nothing and fell over once again. Jimin frustratedly grabbed his hockey clothes and laid them in front of him. "You know, you guys should be grateful that I have this much dedication to the team."
"Spell dedication." Taehyung suddenly asked as he but his lip in anticipation.
The boys were silently waiting, faces still red and ready to explode. Jimin pursed his lips as he tried thinking of the correct spelling. "I think I've got it."
"D-e-a-d—fuck you guys, I don't have time for this shit."
Jungkook snorted while the others cackled so loud, people sitting in the stadiums could hear.
"Fuck all of you." Jimin scoffed as he grabbed his hockey stick. "I'm gonna lose just to piss you guys off. How's that you little fuckers?"
"Jimin, wait!" Jungkook wrapped his arms around his shoulders. "Don't be so cruel."
"Yeah." Yoongi agreed as he joined the hug. "We love you—no matter what gender you chose." He ruined the moment.
"Fuck off." Jimin used his elbow to jab him in the stomach. The boys continued to goof around, until the coach walked into the locker room.
"Boys, you ready?" His deep voice huffed.
"Yes coach!" They yelled back.
"Are we gonna win tonight?"
"Yes coach!"
"Are we gonna let them win?" The coach shouted.
"N—"
"We're gonna kick them so far back into their mothers asses!" Jimin screamed out, making the others quietly giggle. "Let's fucking go!"
The boys shouted as loud as they could, slamming onto the lockers, screaming out random words. It was complete madness in there.
"Stop all that screaming before you lose your voice son." The coach harshly patted Jimin on the back.
The players grabbed their equipment and raced out onto the rink. Their opponents tonight were those guys from the rivalry school next door. They were almost ready to play, when suddenly, Jimin's eyes caught onto someone. He watched the other player laugh with his teammate, a guy who looked oddly familiar. It was Sora's ex boyfriend.
"Come Jimin." Jungkook nudged his helmet. "Are you dreaming or something?"
"Jungkook, that's him." Jimin muttered as he tried to secretly point. "That's the guy who hurt her."
"Well, at least if we beat him in the game, you can rub it in his face." Jungkook chuckled, but it soon faded away when he looked at Jimin. "Don't start anything, got it?"
Jimin said nothing. He just gave the guy one last glare, and made his way back to his team.
"Good luck Jk." Jungkook turned as he heard the very familiar voice.
He couldn't help but smile as Faye stood behind the fence wearing her cute little cheerleading outfit. "I wanted to say thank you for helping me with my friend."
"I don't let people down Jungkook." She shrugged her shoulders. "You should know me by now." She gave him one last grin before turning around.
"Faye, wait." Jungkook desperately called out.
"Yes?" She pursed her lips together in a smile as he lost his words.
"I need to talk you—I want to talk to you, after the game." He changed his wording.
"You know where to find me." She nodded her head at the food stand and giggled. "Good luck Guk."
"Thanks, I'm gonna need a lot of luck tonight." He softly chuckled, before the announcer started to ramble on again. "I should go, remember, be here after the game?"
"I'll be here." Faye calmly nodded. "Now, go before you miss the game." She shooed him away.
Jungkook's eyes slightly widened when he realized they were about to start. He quickly ran off, making it just in time for the first play.
"So, I see you didn't take my advice." Taehyung muttered as they skated toward the side of the ice.
"What the hell are you talking about?" Jungkook asked, but tried to keep his focus on the game.
"You're still talking to it." He rudely responded, purposely trying to mess with his head.
"Taehyung, if you wanna start this now, go ahead, but I'll beat the living hell out of you after the game is over, just not here." Jungkook promised while he held the hockey stick.
"Whatever you say." Taehyung scoffed, before skating back to his position. "I'll make sure you lose that title of yours." He muttered to himself.
The game started peacefully, everything was going like it should. Everyone knew that wasn't going to last for long. Fights during hockey games weren't anything new. The crowd actually enjoyed fights.
Jimin was face to face with Sora's ex boyfriend. He remembered all the marks and bruises the guy left on her precious body. He wanted revenge, and this was the only way to get it.
"Hey." Jimin called out as he pulled his helmet off, getting the guys attention.
"What." The guy muttered as he approached him.
"Are you Mason?" Jimin glared into his eyes as he spoke, never breaking eye contact. Jungkook threw his hockey stick to the ice, and tried to get to them before anything stupid happened.
"Yeah, I'm Mason, who the fuck are y—"
The crowd gasped as the boy dropped to the floor, clutching onto his bleeding nose. Jimin wiped his knuckles along his jersey before kneeling down on the ice. "So you touched Sora, huh?"
"What does it even fucking matter to you." The guy scoffed as he rested on his elbows. "She's not even with you."
Jimin licked his lips as he pulled the guy up by his jersey. "Touch her one more time and I'll have to fucking murder you; and if you think for even one second that I'm kidding, I would just ask my boys back there. I'm fucking insane." His lips formed a into smirk before throwing the guy back to the ice.
Jungkook narrowed his eyes when he saw a player from the opposite team approaching Jimin from behind. He got a strong grip on his hockey stick, before screaming out. "Jimin, quickly duck!"
Jimin quickly dropped to his knees, allowing his friend to swing the hockey stick at the other guy. Taehyung widened his eyes as he glanced at the coach and back at the two boys. More and more players began to fight with one another, mainly angry at Jimin and Jungkook for starting it.
"Get them out." The announcer whispered into the security guards ear. The coach let out an angry sigh as he slowly shook his head.
"Yeah, hit him in the head!" Yoongi cheered them on with the other students, screaming whenever one of them managed to get blood on their knuckles.
"Take her, I don't fucking care." Mason spat blood onto the ice. "She was a fucking bitch anyway."
Jimin broke out of the security guards arms as he tackled the boy down. He threw his clenched fist forward, making sure he didn't see any color other than red on his face.
Another security guard grabbed Jungkook and lifted him over his shoulder, while he was trying to wriggle out of his grip. "Stay still or I'll tase you."
"I'm not afraid of you." Jungkook hissed. "Ahhrkd fuck—okay okay! I'll stop!" He screamed out as the taser left his stomach.
—
There was a long, awkward silence as Jungkook and Jimin sat in the principals office, across from their angry parents.
"Do you have anything to say?" Mrs. Jeon crossed her arms as she looked at her son.
"I'm sorry mom." Jungkook lowered his head, embarrassed from his actions. "I was stupid for doing that. I shouldn't have hit the kid with my hockey stick."
Jimin quietly snickered, finding this whole thing to be amusing. The principal sighed as he looked over to Mrs. Park. "See, I expected an apology from her son, but yours?" He raised his brows at Jimin.
"I don't have anything to apologize for." Jimin said as he shrugged his shoulders. "You let an abusive psycho play, how's that my fault."
"I'd watch what you say about him." He spoke through his teeth.
"I'm not playing with that bastard—"
"Jimin." His mother sighed.
That was all she could do now. Yelling didn't work, neither did grounding. He would always act like he didn't care, making her words useless anyway.
"Jeon Jungkook." The principal glanced over at him and his mother.
"Yes sir." Jungkook innocently remarked.
"You're suspended for a week." He handed him the piece of paper that said so. "You can leave now."
"Thank you sir." His mother smiled before holding the door open for her son. Jungkook glanced down at Jimin as he left, giving him an apologetic look.
The principal loudly sighed once the door was fully closed. He grabbed a stack of papers and set them in front of him. "Park Jimin, you have to be the most stubborn student I've ever dealt with in my entire twelve years here."
Jimin didn't reply, instead he continued to glare at the man.
"You trespassed onto school property while having a two week suspension, inappropriately spoke to your teacher multiple times, cheated on your tests, engaged in sexual activities on school property, used drugs at hockey practice—"
Jimin let out a regretful sigh as he shut his eyes.
"What?" His mother raised her brow, as she leaned closer to the desk. "I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you correctly."
"Ma'am, I'd love to go over these again, but I'm afraid we don't have the time to talk about that today." He pursed his lips and slowly shook his head. "Your son is failing all his classes, and that means he won't graduate if he keeps this act up."
"Please don't suspend him." She brought her hands together. "Please, I'm begging you, let him come back to school and he'll be better."
"Is that the case for you Jimin?" He raised his brow at the silent boy.
"Yeah." Jimin muttered as he glanced down at his bloody knuckles.
"Alright then." The principal stood out of his rolling chair. "Now that I have your word, you're no longer suspended from school. That means I'm expecting more from you. I want to see those grades rise, and your behavior change."
"He'll work hard this year." Mrs. Park forced a smile as she tried to encourage her son.
"I know he will." He straightened his suit. "and to make sure that happens, say goodbye to hockey."
