"Syntax Error Unable To Process Command" the tablet reads as Jack stared at it trying to hide it from Nia.

She walks in and sits next to Jack. "What did you do?" she asks. Jack stared for a while and handed her the tablet. "Uh, I tried to suck the yellow gem into your ship." He says, looking Nia dead in the eye, silence filling the room and Jack's heart beating fast as he awaits for her response.

"Why?" she enquires.

"Look, I'm old fashioned but I'm not dumb, I'm just trying to learn your technical ways."

Nia sighs, "Did you sleep?" He looks at her then in front and shakes his head. They are quiet and Nia sucks in the gem. "We have food supplies for a month." Nia says.

"We have two gems left to find." Jack counters.

"How are we going to get home?" Nia asks. Jack squints his eyes and thinks. He smiles at her and asks, "Where's the food?"

She rolls her eyes and presses a button on her tablet that dispenses a ham sandwich and she hands him a drink from a glove compartment.

"We better hope a blackhole sucks us back to Gallvinore." He says and takes a bite of his sandwich.

"So, you're going to have to rest. I designed this ship like a home, so there's a single bed over there. And the washroom opposite it. Drinks are in the wall, I'll show you how to dispense it, snacks too. We have a refrigerator and a cantine so we can cook. We can't while in motion so we'll have to stop." Nia explains pointing everything to Jack.

"Seems like we're going to be spending a lot of time together." Jack stands.

As he leaves Nia blushes.

She drives around on Mars for hours as Jack was asleep. She starts to play a game on her tablet when she sees something blow up. She quickly takes controls and drives back, wherever.

Mars is completely inhabited and the only landmarks available are peeks and hills which are rare so travelling in circles is pretty easy.

Nia is dodging missiles, left, right, left, right, straight and they suddenly stop. Are these missiles from Gallvinore or is it another third party. Nia finally breathes and takes a drink.

It's like every sip is her everyday on Mars. At the last sip she doesn't know if they'll ever leave or ever live to tell the story.

"Sleepy head" Nia smiles while turning to Jack who's woken up. He smiles rubbing his eyes and blinking fast.

"Beauty" he whispers. "What?" Nia asks when Jack takes a seat.

"Did you find any?" he asks. She looks at him in dismay and nods.

"How are they surviving?" she asks, staring at the ground.

"Well, although the crystals are very valuable at the event of losing them it takes a long time for the effects to start; like the quakes would probably take 7 light years to start because the gem doesn't necessarily control the ground or the inner part of the planet. It's like glue basically." Jack explains. Nia looks up, mesmerized.

"You are so smart, I could just kiss you."

"Then why don't you?" Jack asks as she turns her head to the other side.
