I sat down to keep my legs from shaking too badly.
"Just after I'd been blinded, my parents hadn't been found then, I was kept with another family."
G was silent and listening.
"A mother, a father, and two boys. They..teased me a lot, too much. They didn't take my emotions seriously." My fists clenched.
"They were nothing like (b/n)." I muttered softly and felt the mattress off to the left of me sink softly as G sat next to me.
"One day, they were teasing me about being blind. I still had bandages around my eyes, they were calling me stupid for running in when I shouldn't have...they locked me in a closet. I was used to it by then, so I just sat in the corner. That is, until I smelled smoke. I freaked out, screaming as loud as I could. When I got out, I found out they'd lit a tissue on fire and stuck it in a pot, setting the whole thing in front of the closet. They'd only laughed when I started screaming." I swallowed hard as tears slid down my cheeks.
"I'm sorry."
I snorted wiping harshly at my cheeks. I hated crying in front of people, but with G, it was less embarrassing some how.
"Wasn't you're fault." I murmured.
"Well, I'm also sorry for lying. I do know why I kept coming back." He spoke up after a minute and I looked over at him with a frown.
"Why?" I asked, my voice was barely above a whisper.
He didn't say anything, but he did answer my question.
It was like before, a light, subtle pressure, but on my lips rather than my cheek.
It took me a second, as it had before when he'd kissed my cheek. But this time he didn't pull away until after I'd fully understood what he was doing.
When he did pull away, I felt my jaw drop.
